Sand and Lahn are competing to succeed Republican Gov. Kim Reynolds, who is not seeking another term. The candidates have already met in debates in Davenport and Sioux City, while an Iowa PBS debate originally scheduled for Oct. 21 was postponed following a death in Sand’s family.
KCRG says Tuesday’s debate will focus on the major issues driving the governor race, including the economy and cost of living. Sand and Lahn are also scheduled to meet again Thursday, Oct. 29, in a rescheduled Iowa PBS debate in Des Moines.
Tuesday’s debate schedule puts two governor races on television within a 30-minute window, beginning with Connecticut at 7 p.m. ET and Iowa at 7:30 p.m. ET.
