The Mobile appearance comes one night after Trump’s 2026 midterm rally in Durant, Oklahoma, as the president begins a more aggressive stretch of campaign travel ahead of the Nov. 3 elections.
Unlike some of the competitive states where Republicans are fighting to hold Senate and House seats, Alabama remains solidly Republican at the statewide level. The choice of Mobile is notable, however, because the city sits along the Gulf Coast near the Florida Panhandle and within reach of several congressional districts across the region.
Trump also has a long history with Mobile. The city hosted one of the biggest rallies of his early 2016 presidential campaign in August 2015, when thousands of supporters packed Ladd-Peebles Stadium. He returned to Mobile following the 2016 election as part of his post-election tour.
Friday’s rally is part of Trump’s broader push to boost Republican turnout as the GOP defends narrow congressional majorities. Trump has said he plans an intensive campaign schedule during the final weeks before Election Day, with rallies and other appearances expected around the country.
The Alabama stop follows Trump’s Thursday rally in Oklahoma and comes as Republicans confront competitive races in several states that have traditionally leaned toward the GOP, including Texas, Iowa and South Carolina.
