Trump Fundraising Explodes: 24-Hour Period After FBI Raid “Shattering” Records

To quote a DOJ insider, the raid on Mar-A-Lago may end up being more of a “spectacular backfire” than anyone can possibly begin to measure.

From CNN analysts and others who are nowhere near “Trump-friendly,” everyone has questions about how and why the Biden Justice Department decided to storm into Trump’s private residence on Monday to retrieve presidential records.

As one might expect, supporters of the former president didn’t take the situation lying down as it’s reported tonight that following the raid, Trump’s Save America PAC has raised more money in the past 24 hours than any time in recent history:

Former President Donald Trump shattered fundraising efforts following the FBI Mar-a-Lago raid, according to his son Eric.

“Breaking: DonaldJTrump.com is shattering all fundraising records and I’m told has raised more money in the past 24 hours than ever before in recent history! The American people are [angry]!” Eric Trump wrote on Truth Social.

The former president’s second-oldest son did not say how much was raised in the past two days.

After Trump confirmed the raid occurred at his Palm Beach, Florida, on Monday, he has sent out numerous emails and text messages that include links to donate.

It’s not surprising but also perhaps not what the FBI and DOJ were expecting for the “low-key” warrant they executed at the residence of a former president.

Here’s the original message from Eric Trump earlier today on Truth Social:

While specific fundraising numbers will not be out for months due to quarterly reporting, you can bet Trump will be teasing the amount pretty soon if it’s really as off the charts as his son claims.

As other reports indicate, the timeline for a potential Trump 2024 presidential launch might happen sooner rather than later. Some reports indicated that Trump was considering a Labor Day launch and was being advised to hold off as long as possible.

That trend of advice seems to be reversing as Republicans realize that striking while the iron’s hot and galvanizing the race in Trump’s favor is more important now than ever.

The encouragement for Trump to run in 2024 as the Republican standard-bearer is growing louder than ever:

One senior House Republican personally encouraged Trump on Tuesday to launch a bid before November, a source familiar tells CNN, dismissing concerns among fellow GOP lawmakers that a pre-midterm announcement could galvanize Democratic voters in a political environment that is otherwise considered favorable for Republicans.

Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, one of Trump’s Capitol Hill allies, told reporters he spoke to the former President twice on Tuesday and “the one thing I can tell you is that I believed he was gonna run before [and] I am stronger in my belief now.”

“I think President Trump is determined now more than ever to straighten this country out,” Graham added.

There were plenty of Trump-skeptics who know deep down that Trump had a strong potential to become the nominee in 2024 but they weren’t totally on board. The DeSantis talk had been ticking up lately and it seemed like the party was on the verge of potentially looking at a more bitterly divided primary next year.

After the Mar-A-Lago raid, the playing field for the GOP primary seems to have changed. Trump allies are even more strident in their support and quasi-Trump supporters, like Graham, seem to have a renewed fire.

If the money’s flowing in, look for an announcement soon so that Trump can start building a campaign war chest rather than just a super PAC war chest.
