Quinnipiac Poll: Biden Approval Crashes to 22% Among Voters Ages 18-34

The 18-34 age range demo used to be the sweet spot for Democrats like Barack Obama. Now, for President Biden, it’s literally his worst-performing age group. The most suitable reason for this is that younger voters are most likely to be harmed directly by Biden’s inflation policies and rising fuel costs on a day-to-day basis.

Many voters in this age range are just starting out in life, they usually don’t have much cash beyond necessities, and often have other expenses like young children. Biden can repeat the lies about Republicans blocking his plans to lower costs for families from passing all he wants, but no one is buying the garbage he’s selling.

These numbers from Quinnipiac University should be flashing warning signs, especially coupled with the results Tuesday night from the TX-34 election:

Approval of President Biden’s job performance slipped to just 33% in a poll released Wednesday by Quinnipiac University — as even key Democratic voting blocs such as young people and racial minorities give the president a big thumbs-down.

The survey, conducted June 3-6, found that 22% of Americans ages 18-34 approve of Biden’s performance — the lowest rating of any age group. Just 24% of Hispanic voters and 49% of black voters said they approve of Biden’s work.

The other part of this story is generational. Some of these voters on the younger end, perhaps the under 25 crowd, may be voting for the first time in a midterm or presidential election, or perhaps are now paying taxes and paying more attention. They’re starting off with a dire view of Democratic Party policies.

The other numbers, such as 24% approval among Hispanic voters, are more red flags for Biden. Looking at the results of the special election in TX-34 Tuesday night, where Republicans won a seat held by Democrats for 100 years also speaks to how badly Biden is ruining the prospects of his party in November.

Beyond that, just 49% approval among black voters is a gut punch for Biden who basically turned his primary prospects around in 2020 based on black support in South Carolina.

Perhaps among all the divisions in the country, nothing is more uniting than Biden’s terrible job performance.

The White House conundrum of hidin’ Biden or letting him argue his case to the press persists:

But the president has done little to help flip the script — such as by giving interviews to present his perspective, as his predecessor Donald Trump often did to punch back against critics and advance his own narrative of events.

The president’s last on-record sit-down interview with a journalist took place four months ago on Feb. 10 with Lester Holt of NBC. The interview was recorded and aired three days later during the network’s pregame coverage of the Super Bowl.

“I can’t think of a parallel situation,” Peter Baker, a longtime White House correspondent for the New York Times, told Politico. “It’s the fifth president I’ve covered and the first one I haven’t interviewed. They feel neither the obligation nor the opportunity.”

No kidding! Of course Biden hasn’t done much to flip the script. There’s no alternate script for Biden to present. His policies have ruined the economy and sent inflation soaring to damaging heights. Every crisis coming at him has been made worse by inaction or the wrong action.

Excuses and complaints about Vladimir Putin or those awful Republicans in Congress just don’t cut it anymore.
