Left-wing progressives get really excited about the prospect of political violence. We’re seeing it right now with domestic left-wing terrorist groups lining up and getting ready to start burning things down if the Supreme Court overturns Roe v. Wade.
Progressive Democratic Rep. Jamaal Bowman is among those who seem to think that violence may be the best course of action for American politics. It’s clear he believes this since he’s going out of his way to incite violence and stoke anger among people with differing opinions than his.
Bowman predicts that if Republicans win control of the House of Representatives, the result will embolden “white supremacy” groups and lead to a domestic civil war:
Progressive Democratic Rep. Jamaal Bowman warned of a stark outcome if Republicans take back power in the November midterm elections — one that would “embolden” far-right extremists and white nationalists who he claims “have been pushing” for “civil war.”
During a Saturday interview with MSNBC’s “The Cross Connection with Tiffany Cross,” the Bronx-Westchester member of the congressional “Squad” led by socialist darling Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) claimed Republicans will quickly take action to halt Democratic progress in the investigation into the Jan. 6 Capitol riot, saying the House select committee’s findings would be “completely suppressed.”
Bowman also claimed the GOP would “impeach President Biden as quickly as possible and they will continue to find ways to impeach him going forward.”
In Bowman’s opinion, it’s the GOP gunning for a fight even though it seems like progressives are on the verge of tearing the country apart over Roe v. Wade but no one in authority gives it much attention.
“It would also embolden Republicans and the far right, and white nationalists across the country to begin to believe that it is their time to not just take power in the House, but the Senate, the White House and statehouses across the country,” Bowman said.
“We’ve got to understand that this is a group that has been radicalized by the great replacement myth and many other things, and have been pushing for violence and pushing for even civil war, so that is what’s at stake right now in terms of this election,” he warned.
This is more of the “vote for us or the country burns” mindset. In other words, a threat from House Democratic back-benchers like Bowman that violence will happen unless his party controls the House, Senate, and White House. Enjoy your $5 gas or it’s a civil war for you!
This is the standard operating procedure of left-wing agitators holding the country hostage unless their political demands are met. It happened during the entire summer of 2020 when cities from Portland, Maine, to Portland, Oregon, were held under siege by BLM activists burning, looting, and murdering in the name of George Floyd.
The logic here from “squad” members like Bowman, AOC, and Cori Bush is asinine. These people are the fringe of the fringe and they don’t often listen to how out of whack they sound when they’re preaching to the choir on MSNBC.
Vote for us, the party currently firebombing abortion clinics, or there will be violence in the country. Makes sense.
