The third and final Presidential Debate between President Barack Obama and Governor Mitt Romney will take place Monday night from Lynn University in Boca Raton, Florida. The topic will be foreign policy and the discussion will be moderated by Bob Schieffer, host of Face The Nation on CBS. As with earlier debates, this will be 90 minutes long and we will carry the live stream on this page.

The moderator will open each segment with a question, after which each candidate will have two minutes to respond. The moderator will use the balance of the time in the segment for a discussion of the topic.

Obama made a lot of sense with the military. Obama was on point, Romney looked very uncomfortable, But overall they both did well. I respect them both.

I expect this debate to be disappointing. Yet I still feel there is still a spark of hope that the debate will yield valid rhetoric.

Banks make money by loaning out money. I think in the USA there is something like 53 trillion on the books being loaned out by various financial institutions. Now someone has to go to work to pay that money back and it ain't them. You borrowed the money, now you pay them back. Since President Obama took office I now pay $4.65 for a gallon of gas rather than $2.65 I paid for gas before he was in office. I have had no raise at my job while he is in office. My last raise was under the last President. My phone bill went up from $120.00 a year to now $600.00 a year for the same service under President Obama. I don't get free phone because I'm not on welfare. 2 of my sons are laid off their jobs now this past month. Under the last president we were all employed. And more taxes are taken out of my paycheck to pay for all the people in our country who Obama calls poor. I earn 20 thousand a year and I consider myself poor. The tax money taken from my check goes to people in this country who get higher government checks sitting home than I get going to work. Any other president is better than this one. OK, so did anyone watch the debate tonight?
Here's my take: although they were billed as two far left and two far right parties, they agreed on a LOT.
The two conservatives thought if we could get just ONE constitutional amendment, it should be term limits. The two liberals tacitly agreed, with one preferring to use her one choice as defining money as NOT speech and as corporations as NOT people. The other wanted an equal rights amendment, but this time, add LGBT rights, which might give it the added few percent to pass.
Note that even those differences are not incompatible.
The only serious difference was that the two liberals thought that college should be free to anyone with the brain to get in, and the conservatives thought that would be too expensive.
BUT HEY–that's not a huge disagreement. The conservatives didn't say it was a bad idea, just that it would cost too much.
So, what I'm thinking is, maybe what we need is a BIG TENT third party. Let them be like the old Democratic Party–with knock-down drag-out fights, but in the end, coming up with enough things they agree on to form a coalition majority.
They were, as Nate noted, the Libertarian Party, the Green Party, the Constitution Party, and the Justice Party. Two others were invited but did not attend.
Why not get them ALL together and form a new, "CONSENSUS Party," and get something done, for a change. As I say, here were LOTS of things they agreed on. Why not get those things done?

The Establishment fears Ron Paul so much that they will do anything to stop him and his (our) movement for Liberty on the election level (since so far they have not been able to control the internet, and thus shut us down completely)!
The Major Networks will show after the election NOTHING for Ron Paul (not even that he got ANY of the Vote, for that would be admitting that some actually dared to write-in his name).
The Apparatchiks have been instructed to shred all write-in ballots where Ron Paul’s name appears (for proof just watch after the election and see if Ron Paul is even mentioned, let alone how many votes he got)!
Gary Johnson is on the ballot in all 50 States — so a vote for him is a vote COUNTED against the wannabe despots of America! (Plus, if he breaks the 5+% level, the Libertarian Party (Ron Paul’s original party) will be eligible for federal funds to the tune of about 90 million dollars for the next election — and no longer will be a financial shoe-string operation!!!).

I'm from Michigan. With all the economic troubles we've had over the past two decades, I was upset when I heard that we are STILL paying more in federal taxes than are returned to my state.
So when you're tsk-tsking about the 47% that are freeloading, take a look at the states that pay the least and get the most from the federal government:
1) New Mexico
2) Mississippi
3) Alaska
4) Louisiana
5) West Virginia
6) North Dakota
7) Alabama
8) South Dakota
9) Virginia
10) Kentucky
All of those states get more than a buck-and-a-half for every buck they pay in. Aren't these mostly the states that scream about "self-reliance"?

Goethe – Some of them are lower population, some are lower wages, a couple are both – what determines the $$ they receive vs the $$ they pay back into Fed coffers. Gasoline tax and road repair and Medicaid and disaster recovery are the only factors i know about.

Surfisher – If there were any chance of Johnson winning, i would certainly consider voting for him. However there isn't! forget about the 15% thing. the time to start a winning election for Johnson or any other non-dem or no-pub is Nov 7th. At this point you are confusing issues. I don't know what in reality you have against Romney. If you vet him honestly you'll find he did and excellent job of Governing MA, the Olympics, Bain, and never let his weird religion get in the way of his politics. His morals do not violate Nature's Creator's laws. Romney loves America and want to preserve the Constitution
On the other hand Obama has been caught lying several times. He has no clue about business management, wants excessive government and taxes and wants absolute control of both. He has violated the constitution numerous times with his E.O.'s and has set himself up to declare martial law with his Homeland Security Police force (i.e., gestapo's). Obama does let his Sunni Muslim religion interfere with his politics. He is Anti American and anti Colonialism. He believes it is best for the world if the US is taken down a notch, very small military, look like a social-Euro nation (i.e., France, England, Spain) and adhere to the United Nations.
So Johnson might be the best candidate but this election will be between Romney and Obama. Romney wins and you can start advocating Johnson Nov 7th – Obama wins and no more elections until our next revolution.
