Watch Highlights: Charlie Kirk’s Faith-Filled Memorial Service

The memorial service for Charlie Kirk on September 21 at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, brought millions together to honor his life and death. It was more than a tribute to his impressive political work, but also delved into matters of Charlie’s firm and infectious Christian faith. The night was filled with worship, prayer, and stories that pointed back to God with the intention of bringing others to the peace and joy that only comes through a relationship with Jesus Christ.

The service opened with music from Chris Tomlin, Brandon Lake, Kari Jobe, Phil Wickham, and others. The songs set the tone for the evening: grief and hope held together in worship.

A Life Anchored in Faith

President Trump praised Charlie’s courage and reminded the crowd that his strength came from faith.

Vice President JD Vance called him a “martyr for the Christian faith,” urging those present to live with the same conviction.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio spoke about Kirk’s influence on a new generation and said Charlie’s example will inspire young believers to take their faith into every part of life. Rubio’s remarks are worth watching in full. Spare the seven minutes because you’ll be glad you did.

Secretary of War Pete Hegseth told the crowd that Charlie never separated his politics from his faith. “He believed what he believed because of who he believed in,” Hegseth said, pointing to Christ as Charlie’s foundation.

Erika Kirk’s Words

Charlie’s widow, Erika, gave the most personal and emotional message of the night. She said she forgives the man accused of killing her husband — something, she told the crowd, only possible because of Christ. She emphasized that love is the only way to overcome hate, something Charlie’s opponents never understood.

She also shared a detail that touched the crowd: when she saw Charlie’s body, she noticed “the faintest smile,” which she took as a sign of peace and mercy from God.

Pastors and Friends

Pastor Rob McCoy, Charlie’s longtime personal pastor, reminded the audience that Charlie’s life was built on scripture, not on political calculation. He challenged everyone present to live out their faith with the same boldness and to take a step toward repentance and faith in Christ.

Turning Point USA staff and young leaders shared how Charlie mentored them, always pushing them to put God before politics.

Worship leaders returned throughout the service, filling the stadium with songs about heaven, grace, and hope.

Even old friends found a way to bury the hatchet and open their dialogue once again:

Carrying the Mission Forward

The service was not only about remembering but also about continuing the mission. Vance, Rubio, and others urged the crowd to take up Charlie’s mantle, to stand firm in their faith and live it out in public without compromise.

According to reporting from Andrew Kolvet, executive producer of the Charlie Kirk show, the service was viewed by more than 100 million people, making it perhaps the single largest sharing of The Gospel in history:

Hope Beyond Death

The evening ended in worship, with voices raised once again. The grief in the room was unmistakable, but so was the hope. For those who came, the message was clear: Charlie’s work is not finished, and his legacy will live on through his wife and millions inspired by his message.

Charlie Kirk was remembered as a husband, a leader, and a fighter. But above all, he was remembered as a bold Christian whose life pointed to God and drew others to seek a similar path. His story now challenges others to live with the same courage and conviction.
