That sounds reassuring. What does “formal deprogramming” look like to Hillary Clinton? Night school classes or merely an online course voters can take that will properly program them to vote for someone other than Donald Trump. Is it voluntary deprogramming or does she imagine rounding people up? Just curious.
It’s Orwellian by its sound, maybe intentionally, to call for the “deprogramming” of anyone.
She still sounds bitter about losing in 2016 and probably will be for the rest of her life. She ran a bland and awful campaign underestimating Trump as a political novice and she lost hard.
In her full statement, Hillary couches her comments as believing the “extremist” MAGA cult members need a formal deprogramming so they will stop taking orders from Donald Trump, according to Forbes:
In an interview with CNN, Hillary Clinton compared supporters of former President Donald Trump to a “cult” and said that “maybe there needs to be a formal deprogramming of the cult members.”
“Sadly, so many of those extremists, those MAGA extremists, take their marching orders from Donald Trump, who has no credibility left by any measure,” Clinton told CNN’s Christiane Amanpour in an interview that aired Thursday night. “He’s only in it for himself.”

Hillary’s longing for the good ‘ol days when there was no “tail of extremism” infiltrating politics as it is today is laughable. Where has she been? Did she miss the “Bush lied, people died” days of the mid-2000s when Democrats went off the rails and abandoned any semblance of decorum? Did she miss the Obama years of using the IRS to target conservative Tea Party groups?
In fact, it was Hillary’s party that went to the extreme in dissolving the filibuster for judicial nominations so they could ram through judges by a simple majority. That move came back to haunt them when Donald Trump installed three conservative justices using the same means set forth by Democrats.
In the clip above, it cuts out before the anchor asks Hillary to describe her plan for “deprogramming” millions of Americans into voting the proper way for “the right people” inside the Republican Party. Basically, according to Hillary, Trump needs to be defeated in 2024 and then people will be redirected back to elevating squishy candidates like John McCain and Mitt Romney as presidential nominees.
Is this Hillary’s way of staying relevant into the future? She might not be done running for president if Democrats lose in 2024. Then again, it’s entirely possible given the chaotic state of Biden’s re-election campaign, maybe she’s waiting to swoop in as the alternative and run in a historic all-female ticket with Kamala Harris. Nah, who are we kidding? Hillary wouldn’t share the limelight with another woman, that didn’t go well before.
Anyway, we’re looking forward to seeing when Hillary Clinton Academy opens with its mission statement aimed at “deprogramming” Trump “cult members” back into quiet submission.
