Swamp Update: Biden’s Approval Number Is Still in the Toilet

Just in case you thought President Joe Biden became wildly popular overnight, here’s some data to take the wind out of those sails.

Despite ongoing efforts to “reconnect” and “rebrand” the Biden-Harris administration into something Americans might find inviting, Joe’s approval number remains near a historic low, according to the Washington Examiner:

Public approval ratings for President Joe Biden have fallen closer to the lowest levels of his presidency, according to a new survey.

The Reuters/Ipsos poll, released Wednesday, showed the incumbent president’s approval fell to 40% in early July, slightly down one percentage point from the rating in June.

Biden’s lowest point so far was recorded in May 2022 at 36% public approval, before it rose to 40%, where it has rested around that number ever since.

Twenty-one percent of respondents said the economy was their top concern, and 15% expressed worry about crime or corruption.

The poll was released after Biden announced his Bidenomics vision last month, allowing the Democratic president to take credit for improving the American economy. The White House is continuing its economic tour as first lady Jill Biden visits key 2024 battleground states, including Georgia, Pennsylvania, and Ohio, over the next two weeks, Bloomberg reported.

After years of record inflation, Biden is now re-tooling his strategy to run on “Bidenomics,” a term synonymous with the failure of his policies. When most people hear Bidenomics, they think of record gas prices, empty grocery shelves, baby formula shortages, and outrageous prices on everyday household staples.

Whichever White House aide came up with the idea to re-brand Biden’s economic policies as Bidenomics, fire that person right now.

It’s not absurd to think if Biden announced today he would no longer seek re-election in 2024, his approval would go up 20 points overnight. Americans are over the Biden administration and the endless rebranding and explanation of failure. The buck never ever stops on Joe Biden’s desk.

Maybe the Vice President can help explain the vision of this administration:

Remember the “return to normal” Joe Biden promised? The White House, Joe claimed, was out of control under the Trump administration. Joe Biden, sleepy Uncle Joe, was going to put the house back in order and restore some kind of sanity.

Whether it’s been the still-unclaimed cocaine found near the Situation Room or the half-naked transgender activist posing for pictures, this White House has been anything but normal.

There’s a sense that the battle in America today isn’t between right and left, it’s between sanity and insanity. Most people do not think there are forty-seven genders nor do they think men should compete in women’s sports.

They also, by a firm majority, agree with the Supreme Court’s recent decision to strike down race-based college admissions. The Biden administration, and its underlings, lambasted that decision as, of course, racist.

Simply put, Joe Biden is out of step with the American people on many issues and out of touch with the lives of average Americans on the rest that it’s no wonder he can no longer crack the forty-percent approval ceiling.
