Joe Biden Recounts When His Dead Father Asked Him to Give His Dead Uncle a Purple Heart

Let’s face it, the man’s not getting any younger or more lucid.

Just days ago, President Biden was rambling about the time his father asked him to get his Uncle Frank a purple heart for service during the Battle of the Bulge in World War II. The only problem is that as Biden recounts the story, both his father and uncle were dead at the time the request was allegedly made:

Biden recounted the story at a town hall event on veterans benefits on Friday, saying his father—Joe Biden Sr.—encouraged him some time after the 2008 election to give the Purple Heart to Frank Biden for his service during the Battle of the Bulge, claiming he deserved the medal but had never been awarded it.

The president’s father died in 2002; his uncle died in 1999.

Biden claimed his uncle told him, “I don’t want the damn thing,” when it was presented to him because many he served with did not survive the battle.

There doesn’t appear to be any record of Biden giving his uncle the honor—the president hasn’t mentioned the story in the past, there have been no news articles written about it and Frank Biden’s name does not appear on a list of recipients held by the National Purple Heart Hall of Honor, though the list is incomplete.

The video helps to really hammer home the way Biden recounts this stuff as if it happened yesterday:

You can’t make this stuff up and each day it becomes more alarming. There is no way Joe Biden is fit to serve another term in office or is prepared for the grueling task of another presidential campaign. He should step aside sooner rather than later to let his party get on with the process of selecting a new nominee in 2024.

Yet here comes Dr. Jill Biden telling everyone she’s fully on board with pushing her husband out on stage into the limelight again so we can all publicly watch his deterioration in real-time.

According to President Joe Biden, he was planning to meet with family over the holidays to gauge whether they would greenlight a re-election bid in 2024.

Well, as it turns out, the one holdout of the bunch, First Lady Jill Biden, has now come around and announced that she supports running her husband again for president in 2024:

First lady Jill Biden, despite being so worn out from a recent circuit of White House events that she lost her voice, is now seriously looking ahead to her husband running for reelection in 2024. That’s a tidal shift from her position just three months ago.

Seven people familiar with Biden’s thinking told CNN that her private conversations about another run now match her publicly enthusiastic persona, as well as the sentiments of President Joe Biden.

The first lady was still mostly skeptical as of early fall – “not a proponent,” as one person familiar with her thinking told CNN. But in the month since the November midterm elections, in which Democrats defied the fate of most parties of first-term presidents, friends noted a change.

Jill Biden is now “all in” on the idea, according to a person who works with the East Wing.

Let’s be clear on this. The reason why it matters whether Jill Biden is on board is that her husband, Joe, takes a lot of work to shuttle around and keep on track. Joe Biden needs handlers for everything he does and everywhere he goes. Jill seems to be that handler in many cases, the one shuttling him around and pointing him on and off stage.

Maybe Biden talked to his deceased father and had a long discussion with the spirit of long-deceased Uncle Frank as well. If they’re both on board, then by golly, expect Biden’s 2024 announcement sooner rather than later.
