Backtrack: Biden Now Says Trump Voters Aren’t Actually a Threat to the Country

It took less than 24 hours to go from “Trump voters are the greatest threat” to “Trump voters are not a threat.” Which is it, pal? Maybe Biden doesn’t remember what he said Thursday, it was probably a late night for him, after all.

Are all Republicans “MAGA Republicans”? Is it just Republicans who voted for Donald Trump? How does Biden define this “MAGA force” making inroads around the country?

To say Biden’s big Thursday primetime speech was bungled might be putting it mildly. Rather than staying focused, Biden painted in broad strokes basically accusing anyone who might oppose his policies as somehow a threat to democracy itself.

When pressed on Friday, one day removed from his MAGA-hating remarks, Biden appeared to climb down from his blood-red pedestal and offer some concessions:

President Biden on Friday said he does not consider any Donald Trump supporters to be a “threat” to the U.S., though he said the failure to condemn violence for political gains was “inappropriate.”

The president’s comments were in answer to a question from Fox News’ Peter Doocy who asked if Biden considered all Trump supporters to be a threat to the country less than a day after he blasted “MAGA Republicans” in a speech Thursday.

“You keep trying to make that case. I don’t consider any Trump supporters a threat to the country,” Biden said. “I do think anyone who calls for the use of violence, refuses to acknowledge an election…changing the way you count votes, that is a threat to democracy.”

Those were some serious charges on Thursday night to back away from on Friday morning. Are Trump supporters threatening democracy or aren’t they? Biden said they were, then he said they weren’t.

It’s possible that the tone of the speech, though how anyone couldn’t see this ahead of time, came off darker and more offensive than intended. How it can be misconstrued to call your political opponents “fascists” and “terrorists” as somehow taking a unifying tone remains to be explained.

The threat to this country isn’t “MAGA Republicans” or Donald Trump, it’s socialist progressive policies currently flowing from the White House damaging the economy. The only answer Democrats have to any problem right now is to print more money and pile up more debt. It’s the very mindset that created our record inflation and it’s the very mindset that most people who Biden considers “semi-fascist” outright oppose.

Biden ignores immediate threats like a porous southern border where fentanyl flows in like a fire hydrant yet he calls out his fellow countrymen as “terrorists” for disagreeing with him.

If we use the Biden standard, anyone who “refuses to acknowledge an election” would constitute just about the entire Democratic Party after George W. Bush beat Al Gore in 2000. For years Democrats were screaming “fraud” and “stolen” anytime the topic arose in conversation. After all, Democrats can accept elections when they win and deny them when they lose, no questions asked.

If we want to talk about violence to reach political goals, let’s discuss the entire Black Lives Matter summer of love during 2020 when the country was on fire as cities burned and entire areas were overtaken by gun-toating anarchists. That seemed pretty much like a violent insurrection happening around the country for weeks on end yet Biden condoned the action because it was politically expedient to do so.

By Biden’s own measurements, that would paint a large portion of the Democratic Party as some kind of “terrorist threat” to democracy. I didn’t hear any concern over “BLM Democrats” setting fire to neighborhood CVS stores, or did I miss Biden’s condemnation?
