Video: Biden Calls Fox News Reporter “Stupid Son of a Bi–” After Press Conference

Things are getting a little testy down at the White House these days between reporters asking legitimate questions and the President getting tired of the messes he created in the country.

When Fox News White House correspondent Peter Doocy shouted a question about inflation, the President apparently didn’t like the premise and fired off a hot mic reaction calling Doocy a “stupid son of a bi—“.

The exchange was cut from the live feed, but the C-SPAN feed picked it up:

What was wrong with the question? Does the President think the highest inflation level in 40 years is a midterm election liability for Democrats? The answer, of course, is yes, it’s a huge liability. It’s one of Biden’s worst failures to date.

Dissecting Biden’s answer doesn’t make much sense, either:

“Do you think inflation is a political liability?” Doocy asked Biden.

“No, it’s a great asset — more inflation. What a stupid son of a bitch,” the president sneered.

Was Biden being sarcastic? i.e. of course it’s a liability you stupid SOB, what else would it be? It’s becoming more and more clear that Biden is having a hard time holding himself together and facing the reality he created over the past year. If he doesn’t like being asked about his awful record over the past 12 months, then maybe he should stop supporting bad policies, admit his mistakes, and take a turn in a better direction.

Instead, he became snappy and seems to be angry at anyone asking him about his record or the ongoing crises his administration has created from Afghanistan to inflation, and the skyrocketing Covid case numbers. There’s nowhere to turn that Biden isn’t looking at a year of his own failures.

Peter Doocy has been one of a small handful of reporters willing to ask the White House relevant questions about relevant topics.

After the exchange became public on Monday, Biden apparently called Doocy personally to apologize for his behavior, though the apology sounds rather half-hearted:

Doocy told Fox News’ Sean Hannity that the president called him on his cellphone and told the reporter, “It’s nothing personal, pal” after the hot mic blunder in the White House East Room.

Asked if Biden issued an apology, Doocy said he doesn’t need one and that the president simply “cleared the air.”

“I appreciated it. We had a nice call,” Doocy said of the communication.

“I don’t need anybody to apologize to me,” Doocy told Hannity. “He can call me whatever he wants as long as it gets him talking.”

Doocy is a classy guy unlike most of the political hack thin-skinned White House reporters taking offense and shedding tears every time Trump got testy with them during a Q&A session.

For all of Biden’s claims to restore decent to the White House and not tolerate any insulting or mocking behavior among his own staff, he’s sure setting the standard rather low.
