Quinnipiac Poll: Biden Approval Hits Rock-Bottom at 33%

The inflation report this week certainly won’t help as voters are still mainly concerned about the economy. While Covid-19 concerns are mixed, as people realize the virus isn’t going away and the country cannot grind to a halt every time there’s a spike in cases, the Biden presidency is getting a solid “F” on managing the affairs of the country, and these job approval numbers prove it.

Simply terrible, terrible numbers for President Biden from the most recent Quinnipiac University poll:

Americans give President Joe Biden a negative 33 – 53 percent job approval rating, while 13 percent did not offer an opinion. In November 2021, Americans gave Biden a negative 36 – 53 percent job approval rating with 10 percent not offering an opinion.

Among Democrats in today’s poll, 75 percent approve, 14 percent disapprove and 11 percent did not offer an opinion.

Among Democrats in November’s poll, 87 percent approved, 7 percent disapproved and 6 percent did not offer an opinion.

Among Democrats, Biden has lost twelve points since Quinnipiac’s November poll. Twelve points. Let that fully sink in. Those numbers are shocking, even considering how poorly Biden is doing, to see his own party abandoning him that quickly.

His base is eroding at a rapid rate as Democratic voters face the reality that Biden has whiffed on his Covid plan, failed in Afghanistan, and the economy is currently driving into the inflationary ditch. Oh, also, empty grocery store shelves around the country continue to show palpable proof of failure to address the supply chain problem.

What’s left for Biden supporters to support? The push for expanded voting rights, a tool for federalizing state and local elections, looks doomed as even Democratic Senators refuse to nuke the filibuster to give Biden a win.

Looking back on Biden’s first year in office, he’s seen as a very divisive president, something he pledged to avoid:

As President Biden marks his first year in the Oval Office, 50 percent of Americans say the job he is doing is about what they expected, 39 percent say he’s doing a worse job than expected, and 7 percent say he’s doing a better job than expected.

A plurality, 49 percent, say Biden is doing more to divide the country while 42 percent say he’s doing more to unite the country.

The economy doesn’t fare better when voters are asked to judge Biden’s performance over the past 12 months:

A majority of Americans, 54 percent, think the nation’s economy is getting worse, 30 percent say it’s staying about the same, and 15 percent say it’s getting better.

There is no good news to be found here for Biden, no winning issues to point to right now. The White House has been buried with scandal after scandal, and failure after failure.

These numbers, astonishingly, don’t yet factor in the December inflation report which will undoubtedly turn more voters to sour on Biden’s policies and his presidency in general.

If you’re Kamala Harris, what do you do right now to avoid the stench of “political loser” haunting you for the rest of your career? For the time being, she’s working on rebuilding her own image, and apparently trying to stay far aware from the so-called Biden-Harris administration’s long list of ongoing disasters.

By all accounts, after one year, Biden failed at his most basic promise to unite the country and put an end to partisan divisiveness. Instead, he’s taken to calling anyone who supports fair elections “racist” for somehow wanting to ensure voting integrity. Sure, members of his own party and the general public support a voter ID requirement overwhelmingly, but that’s immaterial, they’re all racist too according to Joe.

It seemed like it couldn’t get worse for Biden in November or December. Then January hit, and somehow it’s worse. Welcome to 2022.
