  1. CM Punk endorses Obama…that makes sense, if you say ‘voice of the voiceless’ or ‘best in the world’ you don’t think about Romney.

        • Andrew:

Which “one thing” are you talking about? Getting bin Laden (which Romney said he wouldn’t bother with)?

Or do you mean stopping the stock market crash, that was looking like 1929? One month after he took office, the market stopped falling, and the stock market has DOUBLED since then, back up in record territory. Yeah, that’s an important thing.

Or maybe stopping the unemployment crash? In Hoover’s “first term,” the unemployment rate went from 3% to 25%. Good thing we had Obama, since it’s back to where it was when he started–and it never even got as high as under Reagan. Yeah, that’s important.

Lotsa stuff like that. To which were you referring?

        • Ehh?! No, that’s not true!
What’s your last name? I feel like I know you, but then again, there are alot of Andrews out there

      • Both losers in my book . Sorry guys but I follow the money and both these guys have a red track record.

  2. • Despite tradition, because after all, who cares about old stuff (like the Constitution?),

    • And not listening to Jon Stewart’s recurring segment, “Please, For the Love of God, Make it Stop!”

    • And even ignoring four-year-old Abigael’s tears and sad pleas that she is “tired of Bronco Bomma and Mitt Romney,”

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OjrthOPLAKM

The Mittster is breaking with tradition and he is, yes, continuing his campaign today, on election day.

But it’s not just another example of not knowing when to quit (he has had no job, and has been running for president since he lost his job in Massachusetts, five years ago).

Willard is clearly anticipating “voting irregularities” in key states, that will give him a break, and figures if he keeps his “ground game” going, people will say, “well, shucks, the white guy must really want the job if he don’t know when to quit.”

And so, unlike past years, we will have to hear more campaign bullsh*t today, when we are used to finally having a respite.

And so, it will also be a question of whether Ann gets her way in defeat, or if Willard will start over campaigning on Wednesday, for 2016.

He clearly thinks campaigning is better than getting a real job, and by continuing the campaign, following you into the booth, he thinks you will surrender and vote for him, risking anything as you also say, “Please, for the Love of God, Make it Stop.”

    • Goethe Behr —

If Mormon Mitt gets into the White House — he’ll start purges against Ron Paul’s supporters to make comrade Stalin proud.

      • Surfisher:

The “purging” started months ago. The grassroots will no longer have a voice in the GOP. That’s what the new rules are about. But aside from that, the “ground game” is already stripping Libertarian activists of their hard-fought gains, and any future impact.

By the way, don’t you ever sleep??

        • Goethe Behr — time to stop pontificating and start the bumper stickers(as you once said) today!

Sleep as much as you do….

Wednesday we may all wish it was a bad dream.

  3. Just Say NO to Rmoney — VOTE for ANYONE but Mormon Mitt!

Keep Mitt’s mittens off of the White House — or face An American Tragedy!

The Mormons stripped the richest man in the world, Howard Hughes, not only of his life, but his entire fortune (that is how the Mormons got financial power to jump start their cult)!

Now another Mormon wants to do the same to our entire Nation!
And his 5 Mormon Sons are waiting in line to finish US off!

*Vote FOR Gary Johnson* — Do NOT vote for Mormon Mitt (or Barack Hussein) the lesser of two evils!!!

    • Ou are an idiot. Mormons do not take people’s money, which you are fully aware. Or else you are really stupid.

      • Like a vote for Willard would make any difference. Hey Bunky, Willare left Ma with a hell of a lot more debt than when he took office, a lot more regulations, and people paying a lot more in taxes. We got that now so why change?

        • Billy:

Yeah, the most REGRESSIVE taxes–on gasoline, guns, and driver’s licenses. Also raised the Massachusetts capital gains tax. And did I mention the $500,000,000 bailout from YOUR federl taxes?

Willard is the KING of debt and bailouts.

          • He sure knows how to extract money from the dumb a$$ taxpayers for sure. Is there anyone who can do it better. The Big Dig though is still tops. I think when he took office it was at 6 billion and when he “fixed” it, it was at 14 billion. Projected cost was 2 billion. Nobody does it better. And he receive a standing “0” for “fixing” all the problems. Biggest cost overrun in American history and the clown is running for Prez. Where oh where are the tar and feathers.

            • Billy Malone —

“Where oh where are the tar and feathers” — LOL, now that he lost, should be on the way.

            • Just hope the people that backed him have a few dollars left for the purchase of same. But the again maybe they should be applying the mixture to one another. Same can be said for the Obama voters also. We can give you 5.4 trillion reasons why. And when somebody does not do the job, we
got to let them go. LOL

    • So in addition to being stupid ur a bigot? Do you really think Ron Paul would have made that big of a difference? Apparently you don’t understand the Constitution and executive branch powers. You libertarians act like spoiled babies which is why we’re not energized by your candidates. Bite off your own nose to spite ur face, that screws us all!

      • Oh I for one think RP would have made a big difference. As Commander in Chief he could indeed bring the troops back home and as Prez he could shut down those 5 depts. A trillion dollars saved and his gig would be just getting started. But if it’s more of the same the voters want, it’s more of the same the voters will get.

        • Billy:

Yeah. And that’s why RP or Gary Johnson should actually take votes AWAY from Obama.

Both RP and Gary are anti-war, and the thing is, it’s probably true that little of their domestic policies might have been enacted–because Congress has a say.

But Congress has abdicated its constitutional responsibility for war powers. So RP or Gary would be able to just STOP attacking other countries, bring troops home, close foreign bases and offices, and there’s very little that Congress would do about it. They can cut funding, but they can’t force spending.

          • Two things he could have done without congress is bring the troops home and shut down those 5 worthless government agencies that do nothing but cripple business. Then there is the veto power used by Gary more than all other governors combined. The man knows how to turn a deficit into a surplus big time as evidenced by the 1 billion dollar surplus he left NM with. Willard left MA with a billion in debt. Simple math but you proved the average voter doesn’t understand simple math. The + & – signs are just too much for these “highly educated” voters to comprehend. Sure glad I didn’t go beyond my GED or I might be one of them and out trying to pay off my credit cards.

            • Yeah, like my daughter, a college grad that’s getting ready to walk from an underwater house. Just hope she leaves her husband in it when she does.

    • I think you may be thinking of the fellow who had claimed to have picked up a hitchhiker in the desert, whose identity was allegedly Howard Hughes, and that Hughes then left this driver his fortune. The driver was a Mormon. The particular document was later proven fake. He never got a dime.

      • MM:

No, actually, he’s talking about the “Mormon will,” which would have turned over a large chunk of his fortune to Mormons. But I think the will was found to be fake.

      • Bob: Can’t elect Obama a third time, but at least it’s nice to see someone so enthusiastic about him.

  4. VOTE GARY JOHNSON — or see our Nation END 2012!

And his 5 Mormon Sons are waiting in line of a Rmoney Dynasty to finish US off!

*Vote FOR Gary Johnson* — Do NOT vote for Mormon Mitt (or Barack Hussein) the lesser of two evils!

    • Are you serious? He’s a nutcase! He wants to…
      1. Legalize marijuana
      2. Allow the private sector to create competing currencies
      3. Abolish (completely) the IRS

Yeah… if he got in office our nation would crumble.
However, I definitely don’t support Mitt Romney as I am very liberal, so I agree with you there.
*Sigh* unfortunately, I’m only 14 so I can’t do anything. Next time however!

      • Get real Alex, What happened in the Netherlands when they legalized pot. Right they had to close up several jails. How about Colorado?

How did NM do when he was governor? What about the B J construction company? And from a 400 million dollar deficit to a billion dollar surplus. Johnson is a Romney in reverse as Romney left his state with a billion dollar debt. Guess most voters are indeed color blind as they can’t tell the difference between red and black.

  5. wow, you people have all lost your minds, can’t go anywhere anymore to get some civilized conversation without people insulting one another and fabricating stories about one candidate or another. You all need to step back and take a good long look at yourselfs, because your pretty scary and it’s more likely people arguing like this in front of that poor little girl is what really made her cry.

    • A lot of it is true like: According to Moody’s State Debt Medians, in 2007 — the year Romney left office — Massachusetts had the highest debt per capita of any state in the country, $4,153. Fact, So who would vote for the guy to run the country?

      • It’s not a fact. Or show us the real source.
Also Obama leaves the entire country with the highest dept in history.. so, it’s kinda backfired there.

        • ven:

You sound like the kinda guy who would deny that gravity hasn’t changed because your scale says you gained weight.

Billy gave you MOODY’S for crying out loud, or don’t you know who Moody’s is?

    • Isabel:

I see that most of the new posts are pro-Obama. I have been on this blog for most of the year, and it is a pretty good forecaster. Whenever a GOP candidate was surging, he or she got plenty of comments. And now, in the general election, after the first debate, all the comments trashed Obama. After the other three debates, there was a mix, with a tilt toward Obama. The fact that the Romney fans seem to be ducking suggests that they are scared.

I am not pro-Obama, I am anti-Romney, and it made my night when Romney lost my state, Michigan.

  6. I for one am for war- hell with out it the other 499,999 troops would be in the welfare line with me – ya that makes me wanna vote for obamanation- bastard wants my retirement too! Chicken shit didn’t even serve.

    • Ron:

Yeah, “chickenshit” even claimed to be a Mormon “minister” in order to AVOID the draft. And now he’s a Chicken Hawk, wanting to put our guys in danger all OVER the world.

  7. NATE: OK, so what’s up for YOU now? Is this something you do on the side every two or four years, or do you just change the topic??

Pity to lose touch with all these folks.

      • Billy: My guess is that our friend wrote the comment and used an online translator.

My guess is that it was supposed to say something like:

Someone has to put a lot of work into organizing all these posts, I’d say. I just recently found your site, and my opinion? I am amazed with the well researched comments that make this site so incredible. Good work!

        • Thanks but I take it the guy doesn’t get on too many blogs as this one was just okay. I like the ones that let you post pictures and hand out warnings then block you if you ignore the warnings. I’ve never been blocked but warned. Not all ignored warnings get blocked, got to be pretty bad in most cases.

          • Billy:

I have wanted to post charts from time to time, which would make the argument simpler, but I also realize the issues of allowing the posting of photos. You probably wrecked it for all of us by posting those nudes of your GF, but it was worth it!

            • I’m not sure how they kept those types of photos out but they did. Can’t believe they had someone up 24/7. Some blogs have filters on words, some just blank them out but yes, charts are and would have been helpful. (not as helpful as free cell phones though)

            • Billy:

I on the Yahoo and AOL blogs sometimes. What’s weird is that they have a VERY low threshold for bleeping. So you write something as bland as “crap” and the turn it into ^$&^%&^ So it always looks worse than what you really wrote.

            • Must be run by a bunch of former government employees. Able to make any situation worse by their actions.

  8. Bye, bye, birdie…let’s hope this chicken hawk is never heard of again!

Ron Paul’s supporters want to thank you “dear” Mitt for the way you trampled us on your blind path to become the next Dictator — it’s called Divine Justice, and we served it to you cold!

    • Surfisher:

I’ve been playing Nate’s stream in the background most of the night.

They made an interesting point. This should have been a year for the incumbent to lose. All the GOP needed was an “acceptable” alternative. They said if Romney had run on his liberal record in Massachusetts, he probably would have won.

His problem was that he freaked out after 2006, thinking he had to pretend to be “conservative” in order to get the nomination, first.

I think that was his mistake. He had money enough to outspend his opponents as much as 17-to-one. And, for the most part, he stood above the fray, letting the also-rans beat up each other. If he had said little or nothing, he probably would have won, anyway–portraying a button-down collar kinda guy. It would be another example of being the “no drama” alternative. Instead, he kept saying, “me, too,” and even made some stupid comments that came back to haunt him.

To me, his flip-flopping opportunism was intolerable. He was clearly lying to get the nomination, and despite denying it, too many people didn’t like his Etch-a-Sketching himself all over the map.

What I’m saying is that Romney is not, and never has been, a conservative. If he had run as the liberal/moderate he has always been, he would have won.

That being said, a TRUE conservative could have won, too.

Maybe the GOP will learn a “Jerry Ford” lesson of giving up on moderates and going with a real conservative the next time. But the new party rules make that pretty much impossible. THUS, I think it’s time for real conservatives to bail. They have four years to rally around the Libertarian Party, instead.

      • Goethe Behr — plus, he alienated all supporters of the Liberty Movement by his strong arm tactics (I think that played a major role — no door to door canvasing, no word-of-mouth endorsements)!

Interesting to see how many points Gary Johnson got (we all voted for him, thus denying votes to Mitt and the BO) — if he broke the 5+% needed.

Also, how many of the Ron Paul write-in votes got counted (I know a lot of people that went that route)?

      • One thing I learned for sure is the track record means nothing. It’s all about free cell phones and food stamps.

    • Well Surfisher you did all you could for sure. The average voter just can’t do simple math so we are in for more of the same.

      • Billy Malone — thanks.

But I would say that all the erudite posters did their best here, too — yourself, DT, Goethe Bear and many others — which helped expose the Mitt for what he is (an American destroyer) and this helped in some small way to assure he did not get to Lord it Over Us!

        • Surfisher:

Thanks for your kind words. As I noted elsewhere, if he had run as “ModerMitt” he probably could have won the primaries, since the GOP was so anxious to get the White House back. And CERTAINLY, he would have won the November election.

Even with all his duplicity and back-stabbing, he still came close. But the duplicity and back-stabbing turned off enough of us that we’d “rather bear those ills we have than fly to others we know not of.” [–Shakespeare ends his sentence with a preposition.]

          • The few people I talk with that voted for Romney all said it was a vote against Obama and they knew little about Romney nor did they care to know about him. They just hated Obama.

  9. I wish nobody had voted. It would have accomplished 1 of 2 things. Either a president would have been elected anyway (proving that all of the voting power lies in the hands of the states Electoral Colleges rather than in the hands of the American people, as we’ve been led to believe for so long), or it would have forced the Cabinet to throw out both candidates and start a new election process with candidates American would actually vote for. Either way, we went about it like sheep to a slaughter house. The lesser of two evils, or the shiniest of two turds is what we got stuck with. It makes me glad to see December 21st come around. Hurts for the Mayans putting an end to this before it even started!

  10. OK. I was wrong. I believed that it would be closer. And if that had happened, Obama would have lost the popular vote. But in the act of winning all but one of the swing states, he got the extra electoral votes. AND by (apparently) winning Florida–and easily in Virginia, he got decisively higher popular votes than I expected.

I had worried that we would have had the same kind of chaos as we had in 2000 and 2004. But this time, instead of having the Supreme Court name the president, it might have been the House of Representatives. That would have been a disaster.

Of course, I don’t know if anyone is still reading. . . .

  11. This site has been great, and offered a lot that I couldn’t find just with MSM. Thanks Nate, job well done. Wish you didn’t have to go dark… do you?

      • Nate — as elected Arbiter on this site (confirmed by you) I rule that you cannot close this site.

Sorry, but you have to stay open, permanently.

        • No I wouldn’t close the site.. may migrate to a 2016 domain name and just roll us all into the next election cycle.

2016 Election Central is born in January.. never too soon.. or is it?

          • Nate: “Never too soon.” That’s a laugh.

Yesterday–the day AFTER the election–I got a robocall from the opponents of Proposal 2–urging me to call the proponents of Prop2 and tell them to grow up.

I guess if we had been smart, we would have lied to the pollsters, so that Willard would have spent a few hundred million here. Who knows? And, of course, with all the money flying around, we would have felt our economy was doing much better, so Willard would have lost by even more. Damn. Missed opportunity.

  12. This president has publically acknowledged he will not be bipartisan, shoved legistration down our throats when the majority didn’t want it, put us into more debt and destabilized our economy even more, raised taxes, broke almost every promise he made, ignored military and intelligence officials’ advice, treated the military like crap, made secret bargains with enemies of freedom, ignored our allies, attacked constitutional rights… the list goes on. This is all public knowledge. So that means about half the nation who voted for Obama is either uneducated, racist or they really do want an anti-American socialist president. And for those nitwits who want to argue racism with me – racism means treating someone different, good or bad, based on race. No white president would ever get away with what Obama does. Four more years with “business as usual” does not bode well for our country.

    • No it doesn’t but now he doesn’t have to have out free cell phones and epannd the food stamp program to get re elected. I voted for Johnson and Florida was his biggest fan, most votes.

      • Here are some numbers that will sober you up!

A lot Less than Half of the eligible voters bothered to cast their votes this time around.
So the “winner” got less than 1/4 — meaning over 75% of the American People do not care for Lil’ Hussein!

        1) The 2012 “election” was reduced by 12 Million (that is a huge decline from last election — showing that nearly 10% of the previous voters decided that NEITHER is worth the effort)!

        2) Who voted for Barack Hussein — and how this reflects on who determines our Nation’s path?

        a) 99% Lesbians and Gays
        b) 98% African Americans
        c) 95% Latinos (Mexicans)
        d) 92% Jews
        e) 91% Unmarried Mothers

Mark my words — freed from the confines of playing the NECESSARY TACTICAL Game in the chase of getting elected — Ron Paul will NOW have a much greater impact in reaching all people!

There cannot be a debate that Ron Paul is the Greatest TRUE AMERICAN of the 21st Century!

And NOW, his words will reach even greater audiences that will DELIVER HIS MESSAGE OF THE LIBERTY MOVEMENT as our Nation further slides into Poverty and Despotism by the Criminals that are In Power of Our Government Today!

Watch this video from minute 33:23 till 58:49!

  14. Principles we must stand by!

“A government big enough to give you everything you need, is a government big enough to take away everything that you have….” Thomas Jefferson

“They who would give up an essential liberty for temporary security, deserve neither liberty or security” BENJAMIN FRANKLIN

“Freedom is not merely the opportunity to do as one pleases; neither is it merely the opportunity to choose between set alternatives. Freedom is, first of all, the chance to formulate the available choices, to argue over them — and then, the opportunity to choose.” C. WRIGHT MILLS

“When liberty is taken away by force it can be restored by force. When it is relinquished voluntarily by default it can never be recovered.” DOROTHY THOMPSON

“Before a standing army can rule, the people must be disarmed; as they are in almost every kingdom in Europe. The supreme power in America cannot enforce unjust laws by the sword; because the whole body of the people are armed, and constitute a force superior to any band of regular troops that can be, on any pretence, raised in the United States. A military force, at the command of Congress, can execute no laws, but such as the people perceive to be just and constitutional; for they will possess the power, and jealousy will instantly inspire the inclination, to resist the execution of a law which appears to them unjust and oppressive.”—Noah Webster, An Examination of the Leading Principles of the Federal Constitution (Philadelphia 1787).

“All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing” EDMUND BURKE

“America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves.” ABRAHAM LINCOLN

“We should insist that if the immigrant who comes here does in good faith become an American and assimilates himself to us he shall be treated on an exact equality with every one else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed or birth-place or origin.
But this is predicated upon the man’s becoming in very fact an American and nothing but an American. If he tries to keep segregated with men of his own origin and separated from the rest of America, then he isn’t doing his part as an American. There can be no divided allegiance here. . . We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language, for we intend to see that the crucible turns our people out as Americans, of American nationality, and not as dwellers in a polyglot boarding-house; and we have room for but one soul loyalty, and that is loyalty to the American people.” — Written in a letter by then former President Theodore Roosevelt on January 3, 1919 to the president of the American Defense Society.

  15. Today, Ron Paul wrote, via RonPaul.com that people should join the “liberty movement” to effect real change. Nice idea, but the GOP has buried the grassroots with the new rules they “ordained” during the convention. Not only are the rules against any grassroots power, but the new rules also say they can change the rules at ANY TIME–without notice–to make sure that the GOP Establishment maintains disciplined power.

Paul should be telling his followers NOW to build a ground game for the LIBERTARIAN PARTY, where they are not only welcome, but where they will be heard, and where they can make their own rules–by vote, not fiat.

    • The voters said it way back then and taey say it today, “Give us Barrabas”.

A shyster by any other name is still a shyster and we had two of them to chose from. Not saying which was worse but both were bad, very bad choices for the country anyhow.

  16. BREAKING NEWS!

***Petition for Texas to secede from US reaches threshold for White House response***

The People are finally Waking Up!
    —————————————————-

The petition on WhiteHouse.gov asks the Obama administration to “peacefully grant the State of Texas to withdraw from the United States of America and create its own new government.” The petition had surpassed 34,000 signatures as of Monday evening.

Similar petitions from other states have also been filed including: Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina and Tennessee. However, unlike the petition from Texas, none of these states had reached the 25,000-signature threshold to get an official White House response as of Monday evening.

  17. Ron Paul: You’re Not FREE if you Can’t Secede from an Oppressive Government

“In a free country, governments derive their power from the consent of the governed. When the people have very clearly withdrawn their consent for a law, the discussion should be over. If the Feds refuse to accept that and continue to run roughshod over the people, at what point do we acknowledge that that is not freedom anymore? At what point should the people dissolve the political bands which have connected them with an increasingly tyrannical and oppressive federal government? And if people or states are not free to leave the United States as a last resort, can they really think of themselves as free?”

    My Take:

The District of Columbia (Washington, DC) — where the White House and all Federal Governmental Agencies reside — have passed the point by their anti-American-anti-Constitution ACTIVITIES that they have FORFEITED THE RIGHT to be called the USA. De facto, THEY have already SECEDED from the Union by constitutional default, and any State that wants to secede from THEM is a State that wants to RETURN BACK to the original CONSTITUTIONAL USA!

  18. *I Dreamt of Free America* (a friend of mine that escaped the Soviet Block in 1968 asked me to post this for him):

“I lived in a Communist Country that was totalitarian. In the morning I woke up to TV news that told me how great our Socialist Government was, then read the same in their newspapers, while waiting in line for bread. I was then 16 years old.

My parents went to work before the break of dawn, and came home exhausted each day after 7pm. The meager dinners we had were the best of times — my parents taught me not to believe the lies the communists told, but to dream that there is a truly FREE COUNTRY called America, where we’ll all try to escape to someday!

School I hated — it was six days a week back then — and all they taught us was how great our socialist leaders were, and how wonderful the world would be once Communism is achieved.

Every other Sunday, my parents and I (just like all our neighbors) had to attend in a basement the local Commissar’s mandatory gathering. Here, all had to pledge allegiance to our Socialist Republic, and have us tell on neighbors and friends who might be an Enemy of the State. The Commissar always made a patriotic call that ANY CHILDREN, that have seen or heard, their parents say something against the State MUST report them, since that is how our country would be saved from internal foes.

I’m sadden to recall that there were a few children that reported their own parents (these children did get an extra allowance of candy, AND THE RARE Chocolate bar…and we envied them, since Chocolate was an unheard of luxury back then), but next time we never saw their parents….

But I loved my parents and respected them — and no Chocolate bar could ever replace them.

We did escape in 1968 — and came to Freedom, the Greatest Country in the World back then, the USA!

My parents died in the 1980’s, and I no longer mourn them — because I’m happy they did not live to see what this nation has become!”

“Right now our USA is no different than the communist country I escaped from over 40 years ago!

Please, do not let my tale die with me.”
