The schedule for the final night of the Democratic National Convention has been released and Vice President Joe Biden has been relegated to the 9pm eastern hour, out of reach for the broadcast networks covering the 10pm eastern slot. Another notable story line is the decision to move the Vice President and President speeches from Bank Of America Stadium, home of the Carolina Panthers, back into the Time Warner Center where the convention is taking place. The Obama campaign cited this evening’s chance of rain as the reason for the move but rumors persist that the real reason involves an inability to fill the 60,000 seat stadium. As of now, looks like the forecast has turned for the worse so probably a good decision regardless of the reason.

Broadcast Television: NBC, ABC, CBS from 10pm to 11pm eastern

Cable News: All evening

Report from the Washington Post:

Below is an approximate schedule for speakers at the podium on the Democratic National Convention’s third night in Charlotte, courtesy of the Obama campaign. Rep. Barney Frank (Mass.), originally scheduled to speak Wednesday, will appear tonight. Other notable speakers include Wisconsin Senate candidate Tammy Baldwin, Caroline Kennedy, former Florida governor (and former Republican) Charlie Crist, Rep. John Lewis (Ga.), Montana Gov. Brian Schweitzer, Sen. John Kerry (Mass.), Jill Biden, Vice President Biden, and of course, President Obama.

Three famous actresses — Eva Longoria, Scarlett Johansson and Kerry Washington — will also speak. Former congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords is scheduled to deliver the Pledge of Allegiance, but she isn’t listed.

The theme of the night is “Americans Coming Together.” There will be videos devoted to the end of “Don’t Ask Don’t Tell” and gay marriage.

Musical interludes include live performances by James Taylor, Marc Anthony (singing the national anthem), Mary J. Blige, and the Foo Fighters.

  1. Michelle, Bill, and Barack is a “dream team” of speakers. It was a coup to find a way to keep Biden out of prime time.

  2. Qvo Vadis America…?

“Whither goest thou?” — to be reduced to Vote for a Mexican Mormon or a Muslim-trained Kenyan…?

No Real Americans (that built this Nation)…left…what a “Brave New World”….

  3. Vote for anyone but CHEATING Rmoney!

I’ll be writing Ron Paul IN — knowing they won’t count such votes, but assuring that Rmoney won’t get elected and a Mormon Dynasty with his brood following his SICKENING Steps TO OWN THE GOP and support Israel, instead of Our Nation, will be OVER!

  4. Can you imagine Mormon Mitt winning — and than his 50+ sons (as a Mormon he probably has more than the token 5 showing up at conventions from his claimed only one wife) — taking over our Nation as A Mormon Dynasty… for the next 100+years!

Kissing Israel’s behind — by supporting any wars Israel demands, to protect them (not the USA Citizens)!

    Questions:

    1) Which one will be Mitt’s First Lady (since Mormons must have two or more wives to be TRUE to their sectarianism)?

    2) Does Mitt Rmoney want to become a God (since Mormon scripture states that ALL true Mormons eventually will BECOME GODS)?

    3) Anyone with the smallest brain from BO’s campaign will devastate the Mitt with this question —
“Do you, Mitt Rmoney, expect to become a God”?

No human being will vote for someone that EXPECTS to become a GOD!

    • Joel:

You’re just saying that ‘cuz you saw the convention video of Kim Kardashian saying she “passionately” supports him.

      • Billy:

But Romney’s pacs will have more money than God.

And the primaries showed that votes CAN be bought.

            • I try to keep to very objective but I’m up against what them TV evangelist tell her what the bible says. But she really helps me to understand how this country got 16 trillion in debt. LOL

            • Actually she is pretty thrifty, well she’s broke but not underwater. Most wemen I’ve dated are way underwater because of their kids. No, if you talk presidents that have run up debts, like the numbers you posted, it means nothing. Reagan was great, Carter was bad because of the gas lines and Obama wants to turn America into a Muslim world but first he must destroy it.

            • Billy:

True. Most people don’t want to be confused by the facts. As you say, Carter was weak. Reagan was our dad. It doesn’t matter what they did. We just want to feel about them.

This year, we have a cool president running against a cold robot.

Time to write in Ron Paul.

            • Billy:

Imagine making history by electing a write-in.

It could happen, because I’ve never seen support as shallow as Willard’s, and a lot of Dems are disappointed in Obama (like Clint Eastwood is).

            • Just don’t think things are bad enough yet. So long as those food stamps hold out the Obama people don’t need much more. However those project people aren’t cheap to keep. They put an enormous load on the taxpayer but most of that money stays in the country but drives up the cost for the rest of us. You could put your kid through Harvard medical school many times over for what one of those project people cost just to bring into this world if ma ma was on crack.

  5. Ronald Reagan tuned the debt around in just 3 years. He also had a big mess to clear up that Jim Carter created. Now as before, Mitt will turn the economy around that Obama made. Gov. Romney doesn’t need to lean on others to look good.
The Democrates should vote for Romney because he clearly is the best man for the job. PLEASE, NOT ANOTHER 4 years of spend spend spend and broken promises. Let’s fix this mess.

    • Dr. K:

DEBT INCREASE IN BILLIONS OF DOLLARS:

      Carter: 1977-1981…Debt: $706 to %994…Change: +$288

      Reagan: 1981-1985…Debt: $994 to $1,817…Change: +$823

      Reagan: 1985-1989…Debt: $1,817 to $2,867…Change: +$1,050

NATIONAL DEBT as proportion of GROSS DOMESTIC PRODUCT:

      Carter: 1977-1981…ND/GDP: 35.8% to 32.5%…Change: -3.3%

      Reagan: 1981-1985…ND/GDP: 32.5% to 43.8%…Change: +11.3%

      Reagan: 1985-1989…ND/GDP: 43.8% to 53.1%…Change: +9.3%

      • You might have a bit too much info there but I get the idea Reagan was no bargain illusion of prosperity using hot checks.

        • Billy:

I get ya. How about this:

Carter increased the deficit by $288 billion,
but as a share of GDP, it was really a DECREASE of 3%.

Reagan increased the deficit by $1,873,
and as a share of GDP, it was an INCREASE of more than 10%.

          • Yeah I kind of understand how sometimes debt can be good but it seems to me it’s always a gamble. Sorry never bought anything I couldn’t pay for up front. Houses, cars, even air planes, motorcycles. I didn’t think I deprived myself but the GF sure does. Keeping it for the daughter, is all I ever hear. All in the past now, well the GF and daughter aren’t LOL

    • Dr. K:

Joe Biden is just like Gerald Ford.

      He’s a bumbling nice guy.

      He could never be elected,
but if the haters somehow get to Obama,
he is exactly the kind of personality
who could help us get over it.

      • When it comes time for debates,
they ought to break tradition and have

–the guys with the big ears and big intelligence debate (Obama/Ryan)

        and have

–the guys with the excessive whiteness and low intelligence debate (Biden/Willard)

  6. Hmmm…

So much for Clinton overshadowing Obama.

    Directly from TWITTER:

    #DNC2012 Night 3: Obama’s speech sets records
    Thursday, September 06, 2012

Today’s highly-anticipated event in Charlotte was the single biggest day of both conventions. President Barack Obama’s (@BarackObama) acceptance speech at #DNC2012 set a new record for political moments on Twitter, with 52,756 Tweets per minute coming just after its conclusion.

The Democratic National Convention has driven an incredible amount of Twitter conversation since the very first day— through the close of the official proceedings, we have seen more than 9.5 million Tweets sent about the events in Charlotte.

Just the final day of the convention delivered roughly 4 million Tweets— approximately equal to the total number from the entire Republican National Convention.

    • hard to argue facts even with the foot ball game going on for part of it.. I tend to agree with FO though in that no way Obama can win but Romney can lose. It’s a question of who is going to get the least amount of votes.

          • Hey if you are a narrow minded GOP that station is made for you. When you think you know it all as a GOP FOX news will confirm it.

            • Billy:

Well, it’s no fun to babble incoherently.
              Getting the talking points helps.

It’s like the scene in the Melanie Griffith movie, Born Yesterday. You just use buzz words, even fake ones. If people don’t know what you’re talking about, they just chime in or stay quiet.

            • Right, but I for one am not out to change the world, just want to get by with as few ripples as possible. Got my grave site all ready, that vulture daughter of mine is in the tree, and the clock is ticking. Not much I’d do differently, looking back, even if I could.

            • LOL. The sister buried two husbands so she knows it can be lucrative. The GF buried one and was left with debt. The daughter told the GF she was just a guest in her Dad’s house so act like one thus drawing the line in the sand.

            • Billy:

To get this straight. . .it’s your daughter egging on your GF, saying she’s a guest in your house.

If that’s the case, I’d let them see how it shakes out, and go back to blogging.

            • LOL, Oh we are always over at the daughter’s house for dinner. Just spray the WD-40 before we go in. Like I said daughter lives right across the lake from me in the exact same underwater house and married to a loser.. Friction as daughter thinks I should pay off her house and then she could leave a check for it in my coffin. Next best thing is I croak and daughter moves in here. GF go home. LOL

            • Daughter doesn’t vote nor care and the GF hates Obama so doesn’t know or care anything about Romney but will vote for him. She is one of the 30% who doesn’t know who the VP is. Yeah, makes for great pillow talk, almost as good as religion. She asked way we can’t just talk about something we both know something about……the sound of silence.
And with that the light goes out. “Hello darkness my old friend”

            • Billy:

              Here’s the plan:

Tell her Romney couldn’t get on the ballot,
so if she wants to vote for him,
she’ll have to write it in.

To be safe, write his name
on a piece of paper for her
              to take into the booth:

              R-O-N P-A-U-L

            • She may not know how to read but she sure knows how to talk and she don’t trust me anymore than my late wife did.

  7. Sorry, I don’t vote for a President because of what an actress or journalist says. Why do I waste my time listening to people with no expertise on the economy? It’s the economy and right now I have no job. Seems our “leader” likes to spend spend spend. President Reagan turned the economy around in 3 years. Obama, yes you could have. Bye.

    • Steve:

Reagan didn’t turn a DEPRESSION around in three years.

      It took FDR 12 years.

2008 was not a blip. It was a total free-fall, with no net.

        • Billy:

Yeah, and off with his head.

He only promised, “read my lips, no new taxes.”

All he would have had to do is raise the OLD taxes. . .

          • Hey he ran up the debt too. What if Clinton could have run for a third term? Interesting to see what he would have done. Could he have kept the surplus going. The bubble was indeed getting bigger. Guess they should have asked him at the DNC what he would have done. Not start another war, that would have helped for sure.

            • Billy:

We were going through a revolving “correction.” It didn’t become a recession until Bush scared business by saying there WAS one. The actual recession didn’t begin until three months after Bush took office.

Their goals were different. Their methods were different. Dubya had only two goals in life: (1) show up the old man by being re-elected, and (2) find some/any way to justify a war in Iraq.

Bubba’s main focus was the economy, because his constituency needs jobs. Dubya didn’t care, cuz his friends (like Willard) make money when the economy is going up, and they make money when the economy is going down. So he had other concerns.

Anyway, right now, it’s beginning to look like Hilary versus Ryan for 2016.

            • All she had to say was “You know what it was like when the Clintons were in the White House” and end of story. No debates no campaigning O , zilch, nada. Let Obama talk all he wanted, It would have been lip service vs the Clinton’s back in the White House.
Obama needed an opponent to become known and Hillary gave him one. Big mistake.

    • I tend to agree with you just a little. Reagan did produce an illusion of prosperity writing billions of dollars in hot checks. Obama tried the same thing, spent the money but the illusion never materialized Just didn’t get any bang for the buck like Reagan did.

        • The only thing Reagan seem to hurt was the national debt with his spending but this guy Obama has done some serious harm besides raising the national debt. Failed companies are never good but it beats me where Reagan spent it. Where ever it was it made the people feel good about it so long as they never though about paying it back.

  8. Conservatives pull ads from Michigan
    –(Republican-leaning) Detroit News

Mitt Romney’s conservative allies are bypassing Michigan with their advertising while stepping up efforts in other battleground states — suggesting campaign strategists don’t believe his road to the White House leads through his native state.

The pro-Romney groups American Crossroads and Americans for Prosperity are pouring nearly $13 million into advertising in key states, indicating they remain eager to lend considerable financial muscle to Romney in states viewed as truly competitive.

There are no presidential campaign ads of any kind airing in Pennsylvania and Michigan, according to information provided by media trackers to the Associated Press.

    From The Detroit News: http://www.detroitnews.com/article/20120906/POLITICS01/209060394#ixzz25o1MM9h1

    • So if you fully support one party or the other you don’t get millions in add dollars. That makes sense. Like a woman that isn’t always bitched all the time, she gets nothing. (Okay, I help create that situation because they gotta ask but the condition is they don’t say “thank-you”.) (Guess you might say it’s don’t beg, nag and when you get it you earned it, LOL)

  9. The Ratings are IN:

Obama speech gets 35.7 million viewers
Associated Press – 2 hrs 7 mins ago

NEW YORK (AP) — The Nielsen company said 35.7 million people watched the final night of the Democratic convention on Thursday between 10 and 11 p.m. Eastern time. That’s when the president delivered his nomination acceptance speech.

Last week, Mitt Romney had 30.3 million viewers for his speech at the GOP convention, with an assist from Clint Eastwood.

NBC had 7.38 million viewers on Thursday.
CNN was second with 5.56 million viewers,
    MSNBC had 4.55 million,
    ABC had 4 million,
    PBS had 3.86 million,
    CBS had 3.29 million, and
Fox News had 2.86 million, Nielsen said.

  10. Hustler versus “Rustler”

Free speech activist, Larry Flynt, is offering $1 million for anyone who will provide him with Mitt Romney’s financial records. Flynt purchased full-page ads in Sunday’s Washington Post and Tuesday’s, September 11 issue of USA Today.

“What is he hiding?” the ad text reads, “Maybe, now, we’ll find out.” The ad includes a phone number and email addres.

Romney has only agreed to release his 2010 and 2011 tax returns [when he gets around to it]–unlike his father, Geroge, who released 12 years of returns, saying one or two might be a fluke–or planned for appearances.

Flynt once ran for president as a Republican, is no stranger to politics. In 2003, Flynt ran in the recall election to replace California Democratic Governor Gray Davis.

    • There are no doubt a million people who have access to it. Now all they have to do if figure out how to put in on their flash drive and not get caught. Put the blame on someone else

      • Ron Paul — the Greatest American of the 21st Century!

Dr. Paul started the peaceful Intellectual Revolution — to save our Nation from a criminal US Government that has FINALLY declared that We, The People, are NOW considered “their Enemy” (not some rag-tag band of crazy Muslims they want us to think have a chance to cross thousands of miles of oceans in… rowboats… to INVADE US)!

Ron Paul started it — and We, The People, will finish it!

True Ideas never die — so eventually — Bye, bye, NWO wannabe despots (NOW, We, The People, know WHO YOU ARE…and WILL END YOU)!

Time to start organizing to win our country back!
        —————————————————————-

        What we need to do!

        First Step:
Do NOT vote for The Mitt

        Second Step:
Do NOT vote for The BO

        Third Step:
Vote your Conscience (NEVER vote for what you consider the lesser of two Evils)!

        Forth Step:
Get Harry Reid removed from US Senate!
        ——————————————————-

        That’s just the beginning!

  11. Flippin’ Mitten strikes again!

First, he helped create Obamacare. Then he wanted Rom-No-Care. Now he wants Quasi-care: cherry picking Obamacare for what he thinks is popular.

Like his flipping on abortion (direct quote:) “Abortion should be legal and safe in America,” to his NO-abortion-ever platform, to (paraphrase:) “legal when I choose”–that is, when he thinks it’s popular.

    Why does this matter? Character.

Opposition to Obamacare has been that it’s meddling in free enterprise. But Willard wants to meddle when the polls tell him he can get away with it.

Triple Flippin’ Mitten has NO character.

      • Willard has two huge advantages:

        (1) He’s considered to be an idiot and robot. If he can parrot his talking points well and also seem human in the debates, he could catapult ahead, the way JFK and Reagan won, largely because of their debate performances. Expectations were low, so to win, all they had to do is seem “viable” as president.

        (2) Willard’s super pacs have more money than God.

        • Still don’t think it will be enough as just not enough GOP will vote. The hate vote for sure but there is a lot of love out there for Obama. It’s not the amount the people donate is the amount of people that donate. If they give money they usually show up come election time.

  12. Quadruple Flippin’ Mitten (not as poetic, sorry).

After Willard says he’s going to cherry pick Obamacare, including the pre-existing conditions clause. . .

Now–Willard’s “campaign” says pre-existing conditions will ONLY be covered if you already HAVE insurance and “maintain” it.

Please explain to me how a condition can even BE “pre-existing” if it’s only covered if you already HAVE insurance.

Willard is flippin’ like a fish loose in a rowboat now!

    • O got a policy like that, I can pick and choose from a dozen companies but I have to stay covered or no pre-existing coverage

      • *Logical Repercussions After the 2012 Presidential Selection*

(listed by the most likely outcome — note: ‘Selection’ since no longer can our votes be termed ‘Election’)
        —————————————————————————————-

        1) The BO wins — and further tries to plunge our Nation under its Socialist Programs aimed to completely destroy our Economy and Liberties. However, most of its teeth have been pulled by the Republicon wins in 2010, and some more of the same in 2012 — so, it is nearly toothless, if it wins the Selection.

[[Remotely possible worst case scenario — it, the BO, declares Marshall Law in the near future (under some pre-planned “catastrophe” already home-cooked by it, and its sycophantic staff), thus trying to emerge as the “Benevolent” Dictator of USA to “save US all”.]]
        ————————————————————————-

        2) The Rmoney wins — this creature has stated it will support whatever its Money Donors tell it to do! Expect the International Jewish owned Central Banks and Federal Reserve to instruct IT to attack Iran IMMEDIATELY (in order to protect Israel…from a possible, in maybe 10 years, manufacturing a single crude “atomic” bomb).

[[Viable worst case scenario — a Rmoney win, along with the expected Republicon wins in Congress and Senate, will give the Mitt a sure boost to attack not only Iran, but Syria, and any other nation IT, the Mitt, wants, to please its Masters that Selected this creature!]]
        —————————————————————————————

So, for ALL of you that think voting for the Lesser of Two Evils is OK — make sure you figure out which one is “LESS EVIL”!

JUST VOTE YOUR CONSCIENCE — and do not reward these creatures by acknowledging their existence!

  13. Write in Ron Paul is finally online!

Vote and spread it like wildfire!

    http://writeinron2012.com/writeinBlog/our-mission/

    partial powerful info (read all):

“…This is a WIN-WIN strategy for all voters. It is the way to address the issues of electronic election fraud. All people desire that their votes be counted. Write-in Elections achieves this by assuring a permanent, verifiable paper trail, which is lacking in the current voting system. This is through the emphasis on the use of absentee ballots, which are photocopied, along with affidavits….”
