Polls close in Wisconsin at 9pm eastern time in a closely watched race that could set the tone heading into the 2012 Presidential Election. There are also GOP primaries in California, Montana, New Jersey, New Mexico, Iowa and South Dakota. Mitt Romney is expected to take each one of those but the race to watch tonight is the recall election in Wisconsin between Governor Scott Walker and Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett.

Wisconsin Results: Wisconsin gubernatorial recall results

Report from NBC News:

WAUKESHA, Wis. — Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker survived a furious recall campaign on Tuesday, emerging as the victor in a bitter fight over state budgets and collective bargaining rights.

NBC News declared Walker the projected winner over Democratic challenger Tom Barrett in a closely-watched campaign first prompted after Walker drove a bill stripping public employee unions of their collective bargaining rights through Wisconsin’s legislature showed little signs of abating, according to exit polls.

The stark divisions that took hold after Walker drove a bill stripping public employee unions of their collective bargaining rights through Wisconsin’s legislature showed little signs of abating, according to exit polls.

More details as they’re available.

  1. Walker will be Rmoney’s veep choice.

Rmoney spent up to 15 times as much as his opponents. Walker spent 8 times as much as his. Two pees in a pod.

    • I would have liked to hear the Barrett side but every time someone on that side opened their mouth the anchor person started asking some dumb [email protected]@ question like, “Don’t you think it was a good thing that Walker balanced the state’s budget?” Just wouldn’t let Barrett’s message out. Thus I can’t say if I was for him or against him.

        • All I heard was the Walker wants to divide and the Mayor wants to unite. Unite & divide what? ? ? The Mayor never got his message out and that’s why he lost if indeed he had a message.

    • Yeah he did outspend him but was it needed? Hey that may be what it takes to defeat the unions. If not just look at Detroit. What will that cost to get it back to where it was?
I still can’t find Barrett’s “real clear” message.

      • Barrett didn’t have a “real clear” message. He stated he would keep doing basically what Walker had been doing to balance the budget and represent the taxpayers of Wisconsin. Except he would continue the fight and blah blah blah.

        • Sounds just like Romney and the lot of them. I want to know what they or he intends to do on day one and he better have some kind of a record to back it up. I want a Romney in reverse. No long term fixes, day one, it can be done as Ron Paul has pointed out over and over again. Bring the troops home and you create 1 million jobs like right now. And if it doesn’t seem to be working fast enough there is always plan “B”. (Just give the sailors a few drinks and see if they don’t spend their pay checks) Hey they are spending them overseas right now.

  2. Let’s help people understand that collective bargaining with public employees is collective winking because taxpayers, who pay the public employees (duh), do not have a seat at that table. If people understood that the unions sit on one side and the politicians elected by the unions sit on the other side, they would understand it’s not fair. Also, do most taxpayers realize that WI public employees pay way less for their health care and have way better pensions than many private sector people? Somehow in all the noise these simple facts seem shouted down. Wisconsin voters were brave, including the union workers who voted for Walker. I now wish that union bosses and democratic “leaders” (sorry for the contradiction in terms) were less invested in the fight and more invested in solvency. Not holding my breath for that one.

    • One flaw in your statement: (politicians elected by the unions)

Yeah, the union members invest part of their money in the form of union dues. As any investment there is risk and/or reward. If the dumb a$$ voters/taxpayers elect people who are willing to cave in to all union demands then the “investment” pays off big time and the people who elected these shysters should pay until it hurts enough to wise up next time around.

  3. Ron Paul MUST win a 5 state delegate plurality to be seated at Tampa! This is the ONLY GOAL all of us need to concentrate at this time! (Why do you think the GOP is pulling all stops to prevent this — because, once at the RNC Convention, Ron Paul will neuter this scum! And his supporters — the Real Americans — will surround the convention in the hundreds of thousands)!

This has to be IMBEDDED IN ALL OUR MINDS — Get Ron Paul seated in Tampa! Nothing else is as important as this!

After Tampa…depending on what transpires — other options (independent) for Ron Paul may be discussed (BUT NOT NOW)!

    • Sorry to still be a gloom and doom kind of guy but let’s face it, no one who voted against Walker in Wi is going to vote for Ron Paul. Even after outspending his opponent 8:1 it still wasn’t enough, Walker still had to make deals with the devil (union bosses). RP just ain’t gunna do that and he no anyone else can outspend Obama.

Tell me where I’m wrong. I will continue to support RP but my money is on Obama (bets) to win.

      • RAND Paul a Traitor — or Family Savior?

Declaring his endorsement of Perfidy Mitt (within 3 days after the Bilderberg Gang meeting ended).

        1) At the Bilderberg Gang’s meeting near DC — their gang-members were freely discussing in the lobby of the hotel (for all to hear) best ways to kill Ron Paul and his top supporters. (Why would they do that openly, unless they were sending a CLEAR Message — desist, or perish).

        2) Hotel staff reported (unverified as of yet) that they saw the Mitt sneaking in and attending this Gang of NWO manipulators’ meeting. If true, that he attended, ON TOP of the VERIFIED List of Top US Officials, that were party to this meeting (The Director of NSA, Senator John Kerry, The Governor of Indiana, and others) whose only goal is to Destroy the USA, and usher a One World Government instead — the message, that our OWN Top Officials are PART of this Gang, sends a CRYSTAL CLEAR Signal that they can cover up anything they want (such as an “accidental” airplane crash, or “food” poisoning)!

        3) Korean Air Lines Flight 007 in 1983 shot down by the Soviets — remember the main stream media hullabaloo about this unfortunate “mistake” where innocent civilians died???
No-one ever mentioned, and still few know, that the Most Dangerous Person to the NWO Gang, was on board that plane — the President of the John Birch Society!

If they have the power to alert the USSR in 1983, to shoot down this plane, and guarantee them that ALL Western Governments (including our own) will REPORT it as an “Unfortunate Mistake” (which is what transpired then) — isn’t that a clear show of might, that they can do anything they want to ANYONE (and our corrupt government will do their best to cover it up)!

So, did Rand Paul betray his Father — or is he trying to save his life!

  4. Ron Paul to WIN — Or American to END 2012!
    (there are no other options!)

The Mittney will never defeat the BO!

And If the BO gets reelected, we’ll reach the Point of No Return. (Four more years of this usurper will GUARANTEE the disappearance of the 2nd Amendment — and most likely the disappearance of many visible opponents he has, and certainly the core of the supporters of freedom, in their hundreds of thousands, will be whisked away to FEMA Camps, never to be heard of again — thanks to his NDAA). I would not be surprised if the BO in his second term enacts a law whereby He, for the “good of the people”, can win a third term. All empires end with a dictatorship — and since ours is nearing its end, why expect it to be different. It’s good to be the King — and the BO is a willing Nero (and then his progeny could become a Dynasty).

    On the other hand:

To his own surprise, Ron Paul has reached a stage that could not have been foreseen at the beginning of his campaign. He actually can depend on more committed patriotic delegates, then Rmoney can count on his forced-through “bound ones”!

I say, push to Tampa — and see how many will vote their Conscience! We might just get surprised how many patriots still exist in our nation!

  5. You are right that a second Obama term will move us to a really bad place. But the fact that 50% of our citizens are considering voting for him after the last three years — that’s even worse.

Romney is better than Obama on every level, in every category, from experience to character. We need to support him.

    • Deborah —

The BO and Rmoney — both a waste of protoplasm in the attempt to create a human being (such cell formation could only be justified in creating a billy-goat — more precisely a Judas Goat (in the olden days when the sheep were wary to exit the pen to be slaughtered, a Judas Goat was introduced…it led them through the gate, where it passed safely, while the sheep that followed it got their brains bashed in)).
