  1. Yup Paul is chomping at Romney’s heels, and look out for a Paul win in Alaska, Idaho and/or North Dakota. Thank you super Tuesday, for showing us how much potential Paul has against Romney. Santa and Grinch won’t get many delegates out of this, since hardly any of their supporters care to become delegates for them. Step down guys, and back the only true conservative in the race.

    RON PAUL 2012!!!

    • Mitt Romney = Judas Goat

If not aware of this olden days’ meaning — here it is:

When sheep are led to be slaughtered, they instinctively feel something is wrong. So, mill around and bleat, but won’t enter the gate leading to the one waiting to smash their heads with a sledge hammer. So, a Judas goat is placed in the pen. The Judas goat is trained to associate with sheep or cattle, leading them through the gate, and passing it safely — while its own life is spared, the ones flowing get their brains bashed!

Mitt will lead us — and at the end of the gate, Bama will wield the sledge hammer….

      • Romney is the only hope the Republican has, period. He is the only hope this country has. We are in an election to defeat socialism in this country. Ron Paul has a great message on small government, but he has never convinced more than 13 people to go with him. Romney is our chance to begin the turn back to individual responsibility and opportunity.

        • It is the main problem that you don´t understand what your candidates say, it was the same thing with Bush ( it was the biggest disaster for your country and for the world and the same thing is with Romney and Santorum, these morons are like Bush, they have money from donators most of all global speculators and military pro-war establishment ) Neither Romney, nor Santorum are solution.
Ron Paul is decent, honest guy,who does not harm your country, who will bring changes. If Paul looses then Obama will win and the next congress and senate will be belong to democrats.

    • O.. Look at that, Not even a single Raul Paul State So far.

“look out for a Paul win in Alaska, Idaho and/or North Dakota.” Indeed.

  2. Man, those Ronulans keep on thumping their little drums, don’t they? Paul has been beaten on a regular basis for the entire primary season, and now they’re reduced to “Oohhh, look! A close second!!”

    • @ Casey my thoughts exactly! THere drinking his Kool-aid and are in LALA land that their cult leader is going to win the nomination, and when he doesn’t win the state (Whatever state is doing the Primary/Caucus) they get all happy with their kool-aid that they are doing good with 2nd or 4rd place finish. Hell he cant even win in a state where only him and Romney were on the ballot! Wake up Paulbots and get off his kool-aid! Ron Paul has NO CHANCE IN HELL of winning, heck even the secret service is not giving him secret service detail!

      • But why has the best candidate in this race no chance to win? because there are such morons as you Richard. Idiots, who ruin own country and they think that it is o.k. It is your problem. if you reject Ron Paul, if you will give no chance for him, you will loose as nation and you will loose as country. Your as..s will be kicked by your next bad president elected by so called brainless mainstream.
You can hear and read all statements of your former leader- Bush- the same guy as Romney, Santorum, Gingrich. It is laughing stock, what this guy has said and it is tragedy, what he has done. And it will be the same way.

        • you ron paul fans are smoking something he never intended to win he is running to get his message across he is never going to actually win a state i mean comon id be surprised if he won his home state of texas

      • Cult leader? Seems like you and many others have your blinders on! Stop being a sheep and pay attention to the facts, Ron Paul is the ONLY candidate that truly stands behind the constitution. Why do so many wish to live in a country where you have no rights? You are merely scared things will get better and you will have a President that stands FOR the rather than one that stands for the rich people alone. If Americans want things to get better they will vote Paul, otherwise you will continue to be brain washed sheep that keep giving us crappy leaders

  3. I think the main stream media needs to wake up as to where our Country is going. How can the media defend this current administrations policy’s??? The media refuses to report anything negative about Obama, and the media is not being fair and balanced which is the job they are supposed to do. If there is another Obama administration our Country will not be as we knew it. This President is leading our nation into a Socialist nation. Thank heavens for FOX News who at least reports the true facts .

  4. Honestly I’m just waiting around to make fun or Newt. And Ron Paul Supporters. (I like RP, But his followers are normally clueless)

  5. Go Ron Paul !! If the ding dong media didn’t keep saying he isn’t electable they he probably would have won a few states.. Humm the polls keep showing him in last at only 10% but then he comes close to winning? you have to figure some people to look at the 10% and then not vote for him and instead vote for their second chose. WHY do they do this?

      • You see, electable or non electable.Who could say that the best candidate, who candidates in your country is not electable? If you want to harm your country and yourselves then elect him not. But belieb´ve that this guy is the only solution and the only hope. The rest of these morons promises so called oranges on sycamores, but their real politics will be wars, robbery of own country and ruining of your lives and making more debts. You have already bad presidents: Bushes, Clintons and you make the same thing again. You can go naked in temperatur – 30 and say that it is beautiful warm weather.
You don´t really understand it that rejecting the best caniddate like Ron Paul is is just damages for your country and for your life and existance of another Americans from USA.

    • Whoever you are (I wouldnt use my real name either if I was a Ron Paul supporter LMAO) R#nP##l what drugs are you on and what election are you watching? ALMOST ALL the states your cult leader only has gotten 10% of the vote! The closest state he had were he had a chance was Maine, and he still lost by 5%! All the other states he is WAY down the list! So you must be in another world if your seeing races where your cult leader is close to winning states!

  6. Go Newt — Take Georgia! So Mitt, the Judas Goat, will have less!

Good news for Ron Paul — the only REAL AMERICAN in this race!

    • The voters need to think about who can beat Obama and start voting in a responsible way. Why vote for a candidate that cannot win??? We need to rally behind Romney who has the most deligate votes. If you care about the future of our Country vote responsibly.

      • Carolyn — exactly!

If you care for the future of our nation — vote for Ron Paul!

If you don’t…vote for anyone else….

      • Sorry Romney is and I stress this NO FREAKING DIFFERENT THEN OBAMA SO IF YOUR AFRAID OF OBAMA LIKE YOU CLAIM YOU SHOULD BE VOTING FOR RON PAUL NOT ROMNEY!!

  7. MSNBC says that Romney is projected winner in VT? but it says here that Paul is close 2nd. Lulz so much MSNBullCshit

    • Sheep will be sheep right up until they get their throats slit by the butcher they vote in.

  8. Let’s see who wins what today?!

According to the GOP (better known as Crooks-are-Us):

How much for Judas Goat (Romney); Santorum (the nut); Newt (what his name actually means — a Slug); and how little for the ONLY TRUE AMERICAN (Ron Paul)?

    Well….?

    • Well I’ve already decided I don’t care who Crooks R Us choose I’m voting for Ron Paul even if I have to write his name in.

      • Roanoke Gremory — very commendable!

But will you be allowed to write it in — when votes are mostly electronic?!

And even if you do write it, how do you now it wont’s be discarded, by shredding it in the trash — will you receive a receipt stating for whom you voted at what place and time (as a guarantee your vote ACTUALLY counted)?!

  9. I’ll keep this short and simple. My district awarded Ron Paul the win. Most of the elected delegates are Ron Paul supporters. We took photos of the pink sheets before turning in results. Many tables did this to rebut future numbers if they were not consistent with what actually went down. Someone allowed a Romney supporter to hand out stickers at the entrance way. I ignored the oversight because my job was to secure my delegate vote, which I did. I can’t speak for all supporters of Dr. Paul, but my delegate vote will not be going to anyone except Ron Paul. Lastly, don’t beleive the “numbers” nor the hype. None of the networks actually know whom a delegate is going to vote for.

Question of the day… Why would someone like Mitt Romney want the kind of power vested in the presidency?
    ..

    • Caucus Voter — good news!

As far as: “Question of the day… Why would someone like Mitt Romney want the kind of power vested in the presidency?”

My answer: Mitt is an egotist, craving power for his own sake, over what’s best for the US Citizens (just like Bama).

      • What is with the Bama Thing? Like it’s gonna kill you to call the man by his own name.
And really? You see they guy as a Egotist?

Please EVERY president EVER was at least in some way a Egotist. You have to be to say or think.
        “Ya I can fix things”

Can we all just except that MOST politicians in fact mean well but are just crappy at their jobs.

Or coarse to make the above statement you also have to ignore that there are normally good and bad things about almost all presidents. (George really mad it hard for me to say that) This kind of goes back to the “we can disagree without being Disagreeable.” If you can’t well your just a Moron, And no one can help you, you will get little done in life, and no one will give a crap about what you had to say when you are gone.

    • What if the majority of people in the area you represent vote for someone other than Ron Paul. How can you justify voting as a delegate for someone other than who the majority in your area vote for.

    • Kudos to you, Caucus Voter! This sort of thing is happening all over America; keep fighting the good fight, for freedom, for truth, for President Paul! We must have proof of our democracy being slighted from us! That is, if the “proof” isn’t being held in the Diebold machines! I am appalled and disgusted by the media as well as the actions of the GOP at many points throughout this race…the delegates will surely tell the truth as to who the American People’s Choice is!!

  10. Why does Ron Paul only get support on the internet but never wins any primaries…All i ever hear on this cite is how great Ron Paul is but why don’t people actually vote for him. Romney isn’t a bad second but hes too rich for his own good. Newt is a complete and utter dumbass and i’m still confused how any intelligent human being would ever vote for him.
    Ron Paul 2012

    • He gets the most support online but you have to remember that that can be say… 20 people. Primaries aren’t won by 20 supports no matter how loud they are online.

  11. Ron paul isnt winning that much is because our lazy asses are supposed to be voting rather then sitting on our asses and just hoping ron paul can win.

So get your Little butts up and lets vote for this guy!!!!!!!!!!!

    PRESIDENT PAUL 2012

  12. Why does Ron Paul only get support on the internet but never wins any primaries?

Internet voters have a better understanding of issues.

    • Ron Paul is too eccentric. He has some good ideas but his ideas are held by too few of voters for him to receive any votes.

  13. My prediction after today — Mitt Romney (the Judas Goat) is FINISHED!

Save this post if you want to bet money!

Santorum and even poor Newt have removed the possibility he’ll EVER get the 1144 needed!

Excellent news for the only True American in the race — Ron Paul!

    • If Mitt Romney is finished and he is the farthest ahead of anyone HOW ON EARTH is Ron Paul or anyone else supposed to be the clear winner and choice for nomination? just sayn :/

    • If Romney or any of the candidates fail to get 1144 delegates then we are looking at a brokered convention. This will make for a messy nomination and loads of fodder for the DNC. Even if it goes to a brokered convention, I can assure you Paulniacs, Ron Paul will not be the nominee. Trolling web forums and slamming polls isn’t going to get this guy the nomination.

I do not understand why this obnoxious but vocal minority doesn’t get it. Romney would likely benefit if the convention is brokered because he has been the favorite of the GOP elites since they failed to get Mitch Daniels or Chris Christie to enter the race.

Sure, if none of the candidates gets to 1144 we will hear how the GOP “leadership” is “scrambling to get Daniels, Christie or even Jeb Bush to “save” the party, but in the end it will be Romney.

I have concerns about Romney because I do not believe he is conservative, but I predict he will win most of the remaining primaries and will in fact get to 1144 and win the nomination. As far as this nonsense that Paul is the “only true American” in the race, you Paulniacs need to stop that nonsense. This is the kind of stuff the dems pull. All of the GOP candidates love American and all of them will be better than Obama, including Paul. Support your guy, but once the nominee is selected be a grown up and go to the polls to defeat Obama in November. If you truly love America then help us protect her.

      • I will say, if you elect the next idiot of bush-hitler type like Romney, Santorum or Gingrich your truly America will be completely out of order.
You have the only one choice – Ron Paul, who is normal American and normal politician and who will restore your truly America.

  14. Romney is a mini Obama. He only starts running on a Republican ticket when he decides to run for president. Whats up with this? And ole Ronny… Man makes me think of a Barney Fife running for president. The man could really be dangerous if he were ever to put his one bullet in the gun. Gingrich, Santorum, and Paul are the only conservatives in the Race, and Gingrich and Santorum are the only conservatives in the race that you can actually take serious!I really hope that after another night of ten losses Paul decides to drop out!

  15. LOL — watching FOX, MSNBC, CNN, for the last 2 hrs is entertaining (no mention of Ron Paul, of course, since they have been directed to do a black-out on his message, for fear that the People may actually hear it ‘en masse’, and do something about changing our rotten Government ).

Their Gurus are befuddled why underfunded, religious nut, Santorum is doing so well against the GOP’s ‘chosen winner’ Mitt.

What these flunkies fail to see is that nutty Santorum is not doing this well, but flop-flopping Mitt is doing this badly!

Americans have gleaned Romney’s perfidy — an Obama in pachyderm disguise — and are rejecting Mitt. So, they now flock to the next best — Santorum — upon which the media keeps commenting (since Ron Paul is NEVER mentioned)!

    Go Rick — win Ohio!

And Ron Paul gets even closer to becoming President!

    • LOL, O look at that, Mitt Wins Ohio…
      Ron Paul Wins Nothing… Nothing…

I can just picture your little world crumbling around you.
      What now?

      Ron Paul as President… Right.

  16. Georgia, the only problem with Newt is that his morals come into question for me. I would like to see Santorum first, Romney second.

I don’t think Romney has a chance against Obama, and I may be naive, but his healthcare platform is way to much like Obamacare for me, and even if he wants to change it if he gets in office it will make him look like a hyprocrite. Santorum actually has stuck to what he says, his platform is solid, if a little too strong so an apt target for anyone who doesn’t like him.

So many people vote for Ron Paul becuase he really does believe in change… I actually think Santorum has the best chance of beating Obama because he’s not as radical as Paul but he also believes in change.

    • @ Aralee
I agree with your take on Romney. To me he is way too similar to Obama with his HC. Also it bothers me that he never ran on a Republican ticket until he decided to run for president. I don’t like the past that Newt has, however I think he handled that very welll. In respect to his past he made the state ment that he has made mistakes, and he had to go to God for forgiveness. He continued to say that he is a different man than he was back then and it was up to the people to decide if they could trust the man he is today. I felt whether religious or not, that was respectable. I don’t like the moral mistakes he made, but his response on the matter is one that to me, I believe it took a real man to make. In respect to Santorum, I really like him. He is a true conservative, but I feel like he spends a lot of time defeding what he has said. Although I do like Sant I really don’t feel like he is nearly as sharp as Newt.

  17. Dude Ron Paul doesn’t have an ice cubes chance in a crematory of winning the presidency. Why do so many keep blaming the media and for him not getting coverage? It is just like it has been the whole time. Those the people have voted to be the front runners get the coverage. Early on that was mainly Romney. Then Newt and Romney. Then Santorum and Romney. Then Newt and Romney and finally Santorum and Romney. Why is it that Paul supporters continue to make excuses for his losses. No one takes him serious and he doesn’t get coverage because he doesn’t perform. He has NO WINS! Why would any media give him coverage if he hasn’t shown himself an electable serious candidate. I personally am a Newt supporter. Newt hasn’t done very well since the SC primary and I make no excuses for his failures and if you choose to open your eyes for two seconds you would know also that Newt has had very little air time since he lost the front runner position. However he has definitely had more than Paul. I will give you that much. But he does have wins and has outperformed Paul. The people are just not connecting with Paul and are voting for other candidates. Please. Stop making excuses for Paul’s losses and accept, like I will if Newt doesn’t win, that it is the will of the people, not a conspiracy.

    • GeorgiaVoter — let me put it to you this way:

If Romney wins — America loses (since Bama will destroy this dishwater ‘republican’ pretender).

If Santorum wins — America loses (since Bama will make mince-meat of his record in PA, and will expose him as religious nut).

If Newt wins (which by now is a definite NO WAY) — Bama will have a tough time debating him (but will eventually win by exposing his ‘perceived’ immortality in personal life and business deals). So Americans lose again.

Therefore, even if you do not agree with Ron Paul, at least by elimination, you need to chose him as the only one capable to destroy Bama in a one-on-one debate (Constitutional Rights vs Bama’s dictatorship wants)!

      • LOL.

Well your pretty much right on all of them with the exception of the last.
There is no way that RP can take let along Destory Obama in a debate. Let alone a general election.

      • Why is it that a religious person that stands up for his beliefs is considered a “religious nut”?
I don’t agree with some of Santorum’s beliefs or stances, but I don’t think he is a “nut” for standing up for them. There are always religious people that say and do things that others consider crazy, but as long as what they say or do doesn’t infringe on others’ liberty then why call them a “nut”?

  18. The main thing that I want to have recognized here is that Romney was Governor of MA and he won 72% of the vote there out of 4 candidates. That is extremely exceptional. This tells me very loud and clear that the people in MA are happy with the job that he did. In comparison Newt only won 46% of the vote in GA. This message is very loud and clear. Romney actually has the experience to be a solid president. I am very confident that he will do much better than Obama has done.

  19. LMAO!!! Its whatever guys, you can keep being manipulated if you want, but if you choose not too then look up ron pauls rallys in relation to the other candidates rallys. Some of the other candidates have had to CANCEL their rallys due to lack of attendance. Go look up whats been happening on the ground, and stop listening to these idiots who throw around their opinions with nothing to back it up but fake numbers based on LIES. RON PAUL is the real front runner and will continue to be. Just wait till the national convention in tampa. The whole Media manipulated house of cards is going to collapse, and it will be a wonderfull day!

GOD BLESS the United States of America!

  20. Surfisher:
Glad to see an arguement instead of an excuse. However, I completely disagree. Although Paul seems to be the expert on Constitutional rights, his debate performances amount to little more than a comedy routine. At best he is able to make people laugh. I agree on Santorum, and Romney. Romney is by no means a Republican. Santorum is a definite conservative, but when put up against Obama his voting record will not hold water. Also, be careful not to underestimate the Evangelical vote. Even if you yourself are not religious, over 70 percent of Americans claim to be Christian. Many of those are by name only and rarely practice that religion, but many of them will support a “religious nut” as you say. Also Newt is knowledgeable and very quick witted. In a debate over Constitutional rights, I think you would find that Newt knows law and Constitution every bit as well as Paul, and he is much better at relaying his message. In my opinion a true conservative should first be focused on defeating Romney. Thaats step one. Then Obama.Ultimately Obama. The only path to do that is for either Santorum or Newt to drop out uniting the conservative vote against Romney. If the conservative vote is united, Sant or Newt, would win several states that have thus far been lost to Romney. There is NO path to victory for Paul left. Americans just don’t take him seriously. So you are left with the decision, who can beat Romney and have the best chance against Obama. Sant or Newt. And as for what you mentioned about Newts past. His dirtly laundry has been hung out to dry. We are beyond the point where people are shocked by his past. If you want to discuss a shady past the focus should be on digging up Obama’s. Many people still don’t think he is a citizen. My problem with Paul supporters is mostly in the fact that they seem to give excuses for his lack of success and lack of coverage. If Romney lost every contest he wouldn’t get much coverage either.

    • I completely agree, I understand why someone would want to support Ron Paul. But this site is full of people putting their heads in the sand and refusing to see the reality that it is way past the point where Ron Paul can make a comeback. I just don’t see it.

  21. Ron Paul won calif. straw poll, received more money from military families, has true conservative views, and is the only gop
    candidate that can beat obamah.

  22. Ron Paul is America’s ONLY chance to get out of debt. All other candidates will only add to the deficit. He is the ONLY one who has a plan of cutting 1 trillion dollars spending in first year. America is dumb as usual to close to elect some other mediocre leadership that will drive this country off the cliff. Why am I not surprised…

  23. These primaries are totally RIGGED as far as I can see. There is no popular support at all for Romney, Gingrich or Santorum on internet whereas its awash with support for Ron Paul. Its very fishy if you ask me.

  24. How can anyone who has watched even a handful of the debates think Ron Paul can survive a one-on-one debate with anyone, including Obama? Say what you will about Newt’s personal life, or Rick’s voting record or even Romney’s changes on important issues, all three of them are infinitely more equipped to debate Obama than is Paul.

Anytime he is not talking about his take on the constitutional role of the Federal Government he becomes completely incoherent. Half of the time that he is discussing the government’s role or the Fed he becomes incoherent and that is his strongest area.

Trust me, a national presidential debate will focus on the constitution for about 2 minutes and on the Fed for zero. So, based on watching Paul in the debates, he has about a 50% chance of being coherent for about 2 minutes of any particular debate and then he’s toast. Trust me, Obama and his handlers are not preparing any teleprompter talking points to debate Ron Paul.

Mark me on this, on May 29th. Ron Paul will not even win his home state of Texas. Period. Stop wasting everyone’s time with these Dr. Zachary Smith (Lost in Space)theories on how Ron Paul is going to save the nation. He has about as likely a chance of that as Dr. Smith had of piloting the Jupiter 2 back to Earth. Maybe Dr. Smith is the Paul campaign strategist? That would explain a lot. Danger Will Robinson, Danger!!!

  25. Why do people keep claiming Romney only ran as a republican when he began running for President? 1994- republican candidate for Senate, 2002- republican governor, 2008- republican president, 2012- republican president. Seems pretty consistent to me. Also, he wins Mass tonight by way more than a landslide, that tells me that at least the Republicans in the state where he led, absolutely want him in charge and believe in his leadership.

  26. what does define a republican and their values and why are “republicans ” not voting for a republican?
    it’s beyond me!

  27. Whether you naive pricks want to give Paul his credit or not, one thing cannot be discredited about him against Romney, Santorum, and Newt is the fact he is the only candidate who’s voting record demonstrates he voted AGAINST the bailout, AGAINST raising the debt ceiling, AGAINST the patriot act, AGAINST more tax breaks for the rich, AGAINST, our exploit games in the middle east, yeah someone who has been in Congress since the 70’s knows less than his younger newcomers about where this Country should be headed is very reasonably to think.

That’s like giving a job to an Engineer who has only been graduated from College and this job would be his first hands-on attempt job verses an Engineer who got his degree 10 years ago and has held jobs in his field since. Guess which one your employing with your votes for Romney,Santorum and, Newt? The new-grad of course.

One thing is for sure, most you idiots who vote for those three will realize 4 years if they are to become President how Paul was right and how you will regret wasting your vote on them but the good news is that if Paul doesn’t get the nomination there won’t be a Republican President for the next 4 years either.

Opensecrets shows where these trojan horses are getting their money from, and it’s absolutely pathetic that you lowlifes won’t vote for the one that receives most of the Military donations which is Paul. You will find Santorum,Gingrich, and Romney have not received not 1 dime from the Army, US Air Force, or any of the likes. That alone should tell you idiots who to REALLY vote for. Our military is smarter than the average citizen.

You will find Santorum,Gingrich, and Romney have not received not 1 dime from the Army, US Air Force,US Navy, US DoD, US Marine Corps, Us Coast Guard or any of the likes. That alone should tell you idiots who to REALLY vote for. Our military once again is smarter and knows better than the average citizen. WISE UP or get ready to see what happened to our dollar what happened to the Weimer Republic during inflation.

Romney worked for a Company that BUYS out other companies and usurps jobs, by the way Opensecrets shows Romney has some contributions from that same Venture capital firm for 2012, yeah your voting in a REAL game changer alright. LOL

    Santorum = WWE Lawyer

Gingrich = Polygamist can’t keep track of how many wives it’s legal to marry at once.

Paul = Good guy, who originally came with the ideas on his platform in 1970 and now the new guys wants to jack his campaign platform beliefs to trojan horse trick you numbskulls into voting for them.

I don’t believe so OPENSecrets also has it that those three candidates received plenty of money from those banksters, Ron Paul has received 0 from any bankster entity. Not hard to wonder why.

How can anyone watch these debates and still not vote for Ron Paul? What has the aspartame been doing to your brains? What kind of non-educated inexperienced computer user doesn’t use google to educate themselves about a candidate and their history before they speculate what they know about them without providing factual evidence to support such claims?

What kind of ‘voter’ votes for someone they really have no clue what they stand for? Hm, what do those Skater kids call someone who dresses like a Skater for a few months and then changes into preppy clothes a few months later before changing back? Oh yeah a POSER. I see a lot of those running for the GOP Nomination. At least Ron Paul has kept his views on the straight and narrow course and hasn’t changed what he is about since 1970. Sounds pretty reliably loyal to me.

    • Lori —

      Mitt Romney = Judas Goat

If not aware of this olden days’ meaning — here it is:

When sheep are led to be slaughtered, they instinctively feel something is wrong. So, mill around and bleat, but won’t enter the gate leading to the one waiting to smash their heads with a sledge hammer. So, a Judas goat is placed in the pen. The Judas goat is trained to associate with sheep or cattle, leading them through the gate, and passing it safely — while its own life is spared, the ones flowing get their brains bashed!

Mitt will lead us — and at the end of the gate, Bama will wield the sledge hammer….

      • Mitt Romney can not be trusted at all. I don’t understand how people can be so blind. Everything he says he is going to do as president is completely opposite from what he did as governor. Why is America so stupid? My guy is Ron Paul, but please, even if you don’t like Paul, vote for Gingrich or Santorum before you vote for Romney. He is going to be bought out by all of the big companies in a heartbeat.

        • As a Republican from MA who is now in VA, I can tell you he did everything he said he would. The only negative stuff people have said about him is actually completely false, and they’re running smear campaigns because there’s nothing else to pick on him for.

    • Yes, I think that it will be optimal if this romney would win and his VP would be mccain and bush and palin as minister.

      • What you just wrote is nightmarish at the worst, cannot believe you are wasting time stating stuff like this, shame on you!

    • I cannot vote for Mitt in good conscious — he is just like Obama and is for OBAMACARE!!!!!!!!!!!!

I say Santorum should be the nominee because he sticks to his principals and when he makes mistakes he owns up to them!

He is the only one who has said to repeal Obamacare every time he talks about it — he is the one who should win not someone who is the favorite of the establishment — he will loose to Obama — because you might as well vote for the real thing!!!!!

Obama is not eligible to be president either he is not a natural born citizen — the US Supreme court in 1814, 1830, 1875, and 1898 defined natural born citizen as the child of two natural born citizens or naturalized citizens – as long as they are naturalized before the birth of their offspring. And if there is one citizen and one non citizen and the father is the non citizen than the child reflects the citizenship of the father not the mother — as women at the time the Constitution was written where property belong to their father or husband. Obama’s father was never a U.S. Citizen therefore, he is a Kenyan citizen not a natural born citizen!

Go here to see the cases — http://www.thenationalpatriot.com/u-s-supreme-court-has-ruled-on-obamas-eligability/

  31. Based on the super Tuesday results…. 4 more years of Obama. Well Ron Paul supporters, can’t say we didn’t try…

    • They didn’t try hard enough. Not just with the voting and campaigning but in particular they didn’t intervene and stop the rampant vote fraud.

For that lack of righteousness they and the rest of the American People, are going to suffer yet more years of lies, deceptions, war-mongering propaganda, innocent deaths and incarcerations, the loss of their money’s value, high unemployment, high levels of homelessness, despair with national and international tragedy.

Sorry, but no, that’s not over stating things.

    • It isn’t over yet. Romney isn’t even half-way there yet and Paul still has his state Texas. Lets not give up! Keep spreading the word people.

      • not for Ron Paul– I can’t vote for him in good conscious either — I say Santorum — or lets get this all the way to the convention — After all Virginia did not allow Newt or Rick on the ballad and one county in Ohio did not all Rick on the ballad either so if we make them go to the convention Sarah Palin said she will stick her hat into the ring then — and the boys will be crying because I believe she will win. Obama will not know what hit him.

      • Very well said, IT’S NOT OVER AT ALL, RP is in to win the nomination! The fight keeps going…

    • Well, you’re right. Four more year of Obama if conservatives don’t coalesce around the current front runner–Mitt Romney. If Ron Paul supporters stay at home on election night, then yes, you will have your self-fulfilling prophesy.
And don’t give me this, “Well, we did it with McCain back in 2008 when he was ‘rammed’ down our throat by the ‘establishment’.” You probably stayed home then as well and didn’t vote for him in the first place. Which is why we find ourselves with Mr. Obama and 2 supreme court justices who don’t give a flip for the Bill of Rights.

      • @rshawtx–thank you! You said,

“Well, you’re right. Four more year of Obama if conservatives don’t coalesce around the current front runner–Mitt Romney. If Ron Paul supporters stay at home on election night, then yes, you will have your self-fulfilling prophesy.” “You probably stayed home then as well and didn’t vote for him in the first place. Which is why we find ourselves with Mr. Obama and 2 supreme court justices who don’t give a flip for the Bill of Rights.”

        Well stated!

  32. Alright there is no way Obama will be our president he has the lowest percent of suspected victory than any incumbent in history not to mention the lowest approval rating. He also sucks and speeches and debating. when he ran in 2008 he didn’t have a record to bash on because he didn’t do anything. He will never survive a debate against our nominee especially if its Romney.

    • Actually, that’s far from true. George H.W. Bush had a 29% approval rating and George W. Bush had a 25% approval rating whereas Barack Obama’s lowest is only 38% (Gallup). And Barack Obama has one of the highest ratings in history for his skill in debates and speeches.

    • not so fast — Obama is evil he can win. All he has to do is say thank you to Romney for Romney care — which translates into Obamacare – if Romney is the candidate he will be a shoe in — the devil is very smart and cunning. He has done a lot of firsts, so why not be the first in that too — being re-elected!

http://www.theblaze.com/stories/az-sheriff-joe-arpaio-releases-results-of-obama-birth-certificate-probe-forgery/ — right to your State Attorney Generals and Secretary of State to remove Obama off the ballad for Nov. 2012 — See the proof by Sheriff Joe here: http://youtu.be/F1wiGDYPALI

    • While I wish that were true… Obama actually is a very accomplished debater. By that I mean that he can turn a fact into a debatable question and fiction into fact. Remember when he said that he could not go against gay marriage because of an obscure biblical passage? He, in one sentence, declared a prime passage of scripture obscure and diverted attention from his lack of compassion for the concerns of conservative voters.
NOW we know he doesn’t care. But its too late. And without a debate that includes REAL fact check DURING the debate he will do it again. Fact is he’s already warming up. Remember when he said the republicans were happy that gas prices were rising? What really happened is liberal news outlets declared that right wingers were smacking their lips at the rise in gas prices. I did not hear nor see any of our candidates call him on that.
      Be afraid. Be very afraid.

  33. lets be honest here ron paul was never in it to win he wants to get his message across if he wanted to win he would have attacked romney instead of not stepping on the toes of the future nominey as for gingrich and santorum neither can win because of their pride if 1 quit most likely gingrich i think santorum would stand a chance but for now the clear winner is romney

    • He could be setting the stage for his son. From what I’ve been told, Ron Paul’s son is exactly like his father.

    • not so fast on that too– Newt is the one who asked Rick to leave first remember- Rick has never asked anyone to leave and he almost won Ohio last night — and Rick even says that Romney is outspending him two to one in every state and he has beaten him before and can do it again — I think Newt needs to leave before Texas’ vote on May 29, because I feel that Rick will win Texas if Newt leaves!

If not God help us all!

      • Almost winning is just a synonym for losing. The only hope our country has is for Romney to go up against Obama. No other candidate has the support needed to even give Obama a good race.

    • @antiromney,
Although I applaud the Ron Paul fans for keeping the faith in the face of long odds @Stephen has pundit agreement. He can only win if he does a Clinton-style rebound immediately. He is not campaigning like he needs to in order to do that.
And he is not campaigning to influence the platform at the convention. He needs wins. not strong finishes. If Romney does not win in the first ballot every state will have the ability to reasign their delegates. No win? no delegate. no platform demand.
However, if he is campaigning for the future of his son he might just divide the Republican party terminally. RP fans are noisy beyond their numbers. That is not their fault. RP is not doing what it takes to win or even to influence the outcome. I’ll be voting RS not RP when the vote gets to calif but it could be too late by then.
      Color me pessimistic.

    • Oh and don’t fault the Ron Paul backers too much. The Gingrich backers have blindfolds on. Does anyone remember the contract with America that Newt could not back up? or the attack on Clinton that eventually crippled the republican house when Clinton quietly signed medicare reform? And does anyone really believe that Newt should get the credit when Clinton reduced spending by Presidential Priviledge? No, he didn’t do it on purpose. He was being harrassed for having an affair while in office. At least Newt married his mistress after he married his mistress. At least Newt is now fully committed to his new religion after he was fully committed to his new religion after he was fully committed to *Has he ever been committed?
Newt should drop out and let the grown men discuss this.

  34. If Rick Santorum had at least been INCLUDED on our ballots, he surely would have taken the state as the only true conservative remaining in the race. What happened this year was clearly a set-up to hand it to Romney which in turn gives it to Obama to destroy America. As a life-long 38 year Republican voter, it really grieves me to see my party going suicidal like this. What a disgrace!

  35. I don’t know if it’s been stated yet because I haven’t read all the posts but for those who are looking at the beauty contests in caucus states, the delegates is what matters and those haven’t been decided yet. Most caucus states haven’t even held the county convention yet so for you to say Ron Paul lost is a little premature. He IS racking up delegates in these states so when tbe main stream media shows him in last in the delegate count, is just a manipulation tactic to make weak minded fools, like you, believe he’s got no chance.

Here are a couple things Ron Paul has to try a deal with, things NO OTHER candidate has working against them, in fact, they all work in favor of the hand picked establishments choice puppet.

    1) We all know there is fraud going on and the results main stream media gives us are not true. YOU KNOW IT AND I KNOW IT! The reason there is fraud is to fulfill the prophecy that “Ron Paul can’t or will not win!” How and the hell can the known propagandists and liars in main stream media be SO confident when they say this unless they know the fix is already in.

    2) The MSM ignoring Ron Paul, misquoting him, spinning things he’s said or just spewing full blown lies about him. They paint this picture of Ron Paul as a kook, crazy, racist, whatever, that only the easily manipulated viewer will accept as facts. They trash Ron Paul, the only honest candidate, while they worship the other candidates and basically mindfuck you into thinking they are the right choice.

    3) People that get their info from main stream media, who sit and repeat things they hear on FOX, CNN because they want to sound like a grand political scholar with knowledge about the process like no other so people think they know what their talking about. “ I like Ron Paul but he can’t win so Im voting for _______.” “The Ron Paul is kooky” or “Paulbots, Paulians, Paultards” or whatever fun little name you can imagine up that starts with a P! You’re right about the P but you’re missing the most obvious name for Ron Paul and his supporters, “Patriots” which is far better than what we got for you and it’s 100% true and that’s “brainwashed fools”

Hasn’t it struck you as being funny that in the “Land of the free, home of the brave” “Most free country in the world” “Greatest Democracy” “the good guys or humanitarians for oppressed ppl” the only candidate that sincerely cares about your “Freedom” your “Liberty” and “Peace” around the world, something America is SUPPOSED to be and the corporate whores are doing all they can so he doesn’t win? What Ron Pauls believes is what America is supposed to be but no, they praise candidates promising us more war, less freedom and more government. What does that tell you?

There is evil running this country, it may not be exterminated by Ron Paul becoming president this year, but the good in this world is waking up in people everywhere. The good will eventually defeat the evil. It ALWAYS HAS and ALWAYS WILL. That is how the universe works, it gravitates and bends towards the good.

One other thing, the older voters in this country need to start talking to the younger voters and see what they want because the future belongs to us younger people. They way the older voters have been picking presidents has not worked, just look at the mess this country is in. We own a good chunk of the next 100 yrs and we demand something different than what you’re giving us. So in all honesty, you should support the candidate that your kids and grandkids want to lead this nation and we want RON PAUL!!!!!

  36. Rick Santorum the only true conservative? Give me a break. Do u even know what conserative is?!? Is wanting more government and more wars being conservative? Is voting to raise tbe debt ceiling 5 TIMES conservative? Come on you robots, you’re disappointing me. I was hoping my fellow Americans were smarter people. QUIT repeating what u hear people say on TV! You’re not parrots!

    • Okay — lets have it you way.
Ron Paul is for anarchy and would put us in more danger than we have ever been in before. I cannot vote for him at all — Santorum is a real conservative and yes he did vote to raise the debt limit 4 times the fifth one you are quoting never happened — as it was in 2007 after he had lost his re-election bid. I don’t like the fact he back Bennidect – Spektor either, but he reminds me of Reagon. The media said he would not win either and he did – twice.

So please open you heart to see the truth — and vote your conscious.

      • Anarchy is impossible. The best that can be hoped for is a scaling back of government, at which point it will regrow.

My conscience tells me the American Government needs to be scaled back, first back into its own borders, and second back to a reasonable amount of effect on our lives.

What does our government having robots killing random people overseas do you your conscience?

      • Lenkia aka Nerkia [better this one]: your comments are laughable from the beginning to the end [they also tend to make me feel quite pissed off], it has already been said thousand of times that RP has NOTHING to do with anarchy!! It is all about Ron Paul and you know it!!

      • are you stupid? Ron Paul is for a return to what made America great, gingrich, romney, and santorum are religious fanatics who want to ban contraception, and undermine everyones right to choose what is moral for themselves. they undermine the average american citizen because they think they can make a better decision than we can, RP is the ONLY candidate for small government, the rest are all total liars, they dont practice what they preach, and integrity, ron paul has it. Santorum and romney want to legislate morality and lead america into a plutocracy, if anyone can even make the arguement that america is not one right now. These simple minded candidates like romney and santorum pre-occupy themselves with dumping on homosexuals, rather than dealing with the real problems.

        • @ Andreas Batten “romney, and santorum are religious fanatics who want to ban contraception, and undermine everyones right to choose what is moral for themselves.”

“…they dont practice what they preach, and integrity, ron paul has it.” “Santorum and romney want to legislate morality” …. “simple minded candidates like romney and santorum pre-occupy themselves with dumping on homosexuals, rather than dealing with the real problems.”

You are either misinformed because of your own bias/or agenda, or you just want to deceive. First of all, we live in a republic, so our laws are based on the voice of the people and created by the legislature. Second, the voice of the majority support the issues surrounding homosexual marriage, that is the one thing the other candidates have spoken out about. Defining marriage as between one man and one woman, is something which most people in America want preserved. Second, Romney in particular has said he would support civil marriage for homosexuals. Although, he has not made this his platform. Romney repeatedly talks about the economic issues facing our nation, he has not made social issues the focus of his platform. Although, I don’t know how much Santorum has made homosexual issues the focus of his platform either, but I do know he uses social issues to paint himself as the more conservative candidate.

But even Ron Paul has some belief in legislating morality as he supports the overturn of Roe v Wade and is pro-life.

I find it interesting the timing of this whole ‘debate’ about contraceptives and see it as no more than political manipulation since Obama wants to come off as the ‘good guy’, the champion of women’s rights, in forcing all employers to offer contraceptives to their employees. He knows it can become a political hot topic to cloud the issues of his bad economic policies.

As far as contraceptives, it comes down to having the government force people who because of religious conviction do not want to pay for contraceptives for their employees. Now, you tell me, if one of the reasons you like Ron Paul is because he’s supports individual freedom, why do you think the government would have the right to tell anyone religious or non-religious what benefits they should offer their employees? The key word is BENEFIT–an employer should be able to choose what they offer, period. If the employee doesn’t like the benefits offered, they certainly are free to work somewhere else.

I remember when Romney was asked in one of the debates if he would support legislation that banned contraception, he said he thought is was basically an absurd question as no one would want that anyways. He also has made it clear he thought contraception was an issue to be determined by the couple, not the government.

Don’t get me wrong, I like Paul, and I would certainly support him if he was the nominee. I just don’t like misinformation that portrays the other candidates untruthfully.

          • If I understand you,
You believe that Neither Romney, Santorum nor Paul would be able to force legislation based on personal or private beliefs. I agree with that.
You believe that the platform each candidate proposes is more important than the media’s attempts to paint each of the candidates as an extremist. I agree with that.
I just think that we need to find a way to stop the ads that are being run by each of the candidates painting each other as not conservative enough or not religious enough or not whatever enough.
And the candidates need to control the PACS. The PACS are the ones disseminating the worst lies and we need a way to rein them in.

          • @just sayn. I agree with you when you state that we need more “real interviews” and not do away with the debates.
Candidates now are forced to script their answers so that an error in phrasing is not used out of context.
Untruth is repeated incessantly until it is believed as fact. And the loudest voice wins. I don’t like the two minute debate formats. They cater to the sound byte and leave us without the real position of the candidate. We could demand standards if there were enough of us to do so. And we could demand interviews take equal time on the air. But I don’t think the PACs will ever give up mudslinging unless their candidate makes it known he does not agree.

            • @ Augie–I agree. PACs wouldn’t want that, but like you say, if enough people demanded a different way for candidates to present their campaigns/POVs, maybe it could make a difference. At least the idealist part of me would hope for that.

Thanks for all of your posts, they have been well thought out and informative. This has been one of the better forums I’ve followed since January because of the comments/rebuttals made by you and several others.

        • @Andreas Batten
You fall into the trap of the defeated. Calling people stupid guarantees they will NEVER come to agree with you. And it does not help when you do the same thing they do by distorting the discussion facts. The debate was about government paying for and forcing medical care that a person or company is opposed to on religious grounds. The same debate was occuring in 1861 regarding returning escaped slaves to their former owners by northern police.
It is not the candidates that oppose contraception it is the right wing media that says they do and the well funded PACS that paint a picture not true of any of them.
Stick to the facts. Write to Ron Paul that he has to use the weapons available to him and show up to the campaign.
He needs to energize his base, increase fundraising, make speaches at prominent institutions and churches and above all energy, energy, energy. We would never have elected Ronald Reagan if he had walked the rounds this quietly.

          • @Augie, you said, “If I understand you,

You believe that Neither Romney, Santorum nor Paul would be able to force legislation based on personal or private beliefs. I agree with that.
You believe that the platform each candidate proposes is more important than the media’s attempts to paint each of the candidates as an extremist. I agree with that.
I just think that we need to find a way to stop the ads that are being run by each of the candidates painting each other as not conservative enough or not religious enough or not whatever enough.”

“And the candidates need to control the PACS. The PACS are the ones disseminating the worst lies and we need a way to rein them in.”

Yes, I agree with your understanding, and I certainly agree with you about the ads and PACs.

I also personally would like to see more “real interviews” vs. a “dozen” debates where you get a 2 minute synopsis–controlled by the moderator/station–rather than the opportunity to hear the FULL thought the candidate has about economic/social issues.

Debates can be informative, and I wouldn’t want to do away with them, but I think that forum is very limited in showcasing what a candidate stands for. I’d rather have them be able to speak for themselves in full context–rather than a sound byte which is often media distorted and untrue.

Actually, I think if the candidates/PACs used their funds to create TV spots where their candidate discusses the issues of their platform–that way they control both the content and timing–it would be far more effective as opposed to focusing on the other candidates supposed ‘weaknesses.’

  37. The best advice and most true advice I have ever heard was, “Whatever they tell you on main stream media, believe the opposite because that is tbe truth.”

    NEVER FAILS!!!!!

  38. You, sheep! Ron Paul would absolutely pummel Obama in a one on one. debate. He would destroy him on every unconstitutional decidion he has made since ’08 and destroy the last hope ppl still have in him by throwing his broken promises in his face. He should be impeached just for allowing the NDAA to become law! That’s treason IMO.

  39. Seriously people? Why would you ever be for Romney? He is Obama in a Republican suit. And another thing, the fact that you are only voting for Romney because “he is the only one that can beat Obama” is ignorant. http://www.thestatecolumn.com/articles/2012/02/28/poll-ron-paul-bests-obama-for-the-first-time-nationally/ < Both Romney and Paul did well against Obama, so your point is null and void. Your wasting your votes on a man that cares nothing about the American people, and is all about corporate business, why else do you think Trump would publicly endorse him. Romney even has made the comment that he cares nothing about the poor of the country. http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/politics/2012/02/romney-not-concerned-about-the-very-poor/ < See for yourself. So yeah go vote for Romney and see what happens, nothing is going to change. Laugh all you want against Ron Paul, but the reality is we need someone like Ron Paul in office.

    • Really, dude? I don’t like the guy either, but why are you spreading lies? He said he isn’t campaigning for the very poor that already have government assistance. He is campaigning for those that are working hard and still struggling. Nothing in that article suggests that he doesn’t care about the poor people.

  40. Youth is one thing, immaturity another. The Ron Paul supporters’ comments here would end his chances even if more people liked him. You guys come off as nut jobs, with your immature rantings. I don’t agree with his views, especially on foreign policy, and that has nothing to do with media reports or anything else.

    • Why don’t like his foreign policy, I have researched it quite a bit and all the arguements I have heard against it as of yet are misconceptions. Please explain.

    • You don’t agree with Ron Paul’s views on Foreign Policy? So… you would rather keep giving money to ‘sanctioned dictators’ who murder innocent families just so that the USA can get it’s grubby little hands on a nations’s wealth and resources?

      You’re a moron, and that’s Official!

    • I’ve seen just as many “immature” comments from other supporters and I’ve been following this forum as well as others since January. The only nuts on this page are the ones that think that Mitt, Rick, or Newt is any different than Obama and can bring the GOOD changes that we NEED to America. “Republicans need to unite with Romney because he is the only candidate that can beat Obamba.” WELL JIMMY CRACKS CORN AND WHO GIVES A CRAP IF REPUBLICAN OBAMA CAN BEAT DEMOCRATIC OBAMA! We want a President who cares about the American People and we are nuts? We want a President who has our freedom and liberties in mind and we are nuts? We want a president who will uphold the constitution and we are nuts? We want a President that is moral, honest, and hard working and we are nuts? We want a president who can get our economy out of the hole and we are nuts???????? No. The people who are nuts are the people who support a president who wants to increase the size of the government, limiting our freedom and liberties, or who wants to keep spending and spending and spending driving our economy further into the ground, or who wants to fight every Tom, Dick, and Harry that we see fit without any regards to the repercussions that follow. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out that our country cant take another four years of the ravaging that is going on without a substantial decrease in the quality of the American life. If you want to live a hard life where your money, voice, or opinion isn’t worth anything, then move your ass to another country. There are plenty to choose from that offer this kind of lifestyle.

      • Relax, Droids… you’re making his point for him.

The multiple posts with the same exact contents as well as the overly long posts rank with spelling errors and the words “SHEEP” and “WAKE UP” do nothing to present Paul supporters as reasonable balanced people. Losing your temper like this, attacking people, and basically being belligerent reflects poorly on the man you are supporting and only serves to further polarize the issue.

If you want to change minds you should first change your own. If you want people to understand you then you should understand them. If you want people to join your cause then you should be a friend to them.

While I understand your anger, people who disagree with you do not, and you only drive them further away. Everyone is wrong about something. Even you. Have some humility.

        • @Abroad.
Bravo. I could not have said it better.
If we all can stop calling each other names then maybe the candidates views, records and platforms can be dissected and the absurd and irrelevant media plugs tossed out. Maybe the best candidate won’t win. But it won’t be because we painted him into a corner he didn’t deserve.

  41. They are just all wasting away the delegates. No one has a chance besides Romney so at this rate, he won’t get the 1144 delegates required and we’ll be stuck with Obama for another 4 years.

    • not so fast — if it goes to the convention which is what I am going to start praying for than Palin will enter there for the nomination and she’ll win it! I love Sarah Palin and she is the lefts and Obama’s worst nightmare come true — she will beat his pants off!

    • Synikal,

Do you really believe that anyone outside the Republican part will vote for Romney?

He’s more likely than Newt or Santorum, and people who aren’t actually paying attention might think he’s presidential. Hell, Mormons are nice people, so I’d prefer him to the other two. But honestly any of the guys the GOP is fielding are going to lose.

It’s pure diabolic idiocy that they have someone whose supporters will stand naked in freezing rain to see him elected and they’re utterly ignoring him. There is only one person who the mainstream of America (not the blinders-wearing party hacks who think they know things because they’ve been told them and repeated them often enough that it sounds like fact) agrees with. You know who it is.

Public Sentiment since the beginning of time:

      1. Let make my own decisions on my own life.
      2. Let me be important somehow.
      3. If I need help, for God’s sake help me.
      4. Live and let live.

Do you disagree? Do you feel that there are things more important to people, and I mean looking at people regardless of nation culture and time period? What else do people feel? Have I left something out?

      What’s important to you?

  42. Romney, Santorum, Gingrich and Obama supporters, this message is FOR YOU!

You want to support a candidate that is promising more war with Iran and on tbe other hand you are deciding who to support based on as issue that is completely irrelavent, like who should marry who.
So that is who u will support even if they promise more war. This does not compute in my brain and I don’t understand why you would not make your desicion based on who wants war and who doesn’t.
Remember, your vote for any of those 4 is going to bring more war. You have to watch these videos because Im trying to change your mind and please share these everywhere. Surely you don’t want to be responsible for more US war or intervention because of what these videos show. If you can’t watch them, how can you support a candidate promising MORE WAR??

This hspoened in Libya in 2011, what happened in Fallujah is too hard to watch, so Im not putting that on here. IRAN IS NOT OUR ENEMY AND WE CAN’tT LET THIS HAPPEN TO THEM.

  43. Romney doesn’t deserve to win and I would rather have Obama than any Republican that isn’t Ron or Rand Paul.

Until all of you GOP heads get behind Ron Paul I advise you to get use to having Democratic Presidents because this enormous Paul base isn’t going to EVER vote for any other candidate you try and throw in front of us to be the new Judas.

Get good candidates that aren’t bought and paid for like Paul maybe the GOP would regain an untarnished reputation. Really Paul is the Republicans best shot to ‘save face’ for after what Bush did.

Getting a Republican version of Obama isn’t enough to solve the problem.

Vote and support Paul or just quit voting period because your wasting our freedom away doing anything otherwise.

    Plan and simple.

Look at the voting records and then check their contributions at OpenSecrets.

  44. Hello , I just hope this election will be carefully watched for fraud and intimidation of voters. Since in the past their has been as well as pizza for votes , those bussed in showing proper id if applicable. As well as where precincts have been combined with a College Campus they should also be watched since many colleges have received money from this administration for unions etc. And any fraud should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Sincerely ;

    • Yeah, since the race for Presidency has started again. I find it a bit convenient that this couln’t have happened any sooner now that Obama is fighting for a second term. Look at this chart from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. The only real decline we see in the unemployment rate starts in 2011. Just in time for us to start seeing a bit of improvement as election season comes.

      http://data.bls.gov/timeseries/LNS14000000

    • false numbers cleverly released. combine with statistics on underemployment to get a better picture.
Taking a $7.50/hr job because unemployment ran out instead of $25/hour that you used to have is not incline but decline
I work with people losing their homes in the face of the Obama plan and I can tell you this is not for the faint-hearted. I also work with the local food bank. please don’t make me tell you how bad it is.

  45. MA healthcare is NOT the same as Obamacare–period. Healthcare is a STATE issue–the state of MA was serving the needs of it’s constituents, because people for years have been crying that NOT everyone is insured, people can’t afford health insurance, yada, yada…. Okay, so a state provides something to try to solve the problem, which is within their scope of responsibility. However, the Federal government has NO responsibility to take care of what the states can take care of themselves. So there is a HUGE DIFFERENCE between the two. So only the ignorant will fall for the ploy Obamacare = Romneycare.

  46. @ Lenkia: Okay, you don’t like Mitt Romney, but at least be straight with your facts about him. He has repeatedly said he would repeal Obamacare, it is even on his 59 point plan. He does not support Obamacare.

  47. I will be voting for Dr. Paul for the following reasons, regardless of whether I have to write-in or not;

    – Dr. Paul understands how the federal government and state governments are framed, and does not seek to overpower the fed because he understands the rammifications of across the board policies to decision that we, as different types of Americans, disagree on. I may not agree with you and you not with me, but we can both agree that we don’t want our lives run by each other’s policies. Dr. Paul understands and seeks to allow for this.

    – Dr. Paul has a very good understanding of economics; not only from the standpoint of deficits/debt/budgets, but also from the long-term effects of economic and monetary policy that the Fed mandates. He is the only one that has an actual plan that works towards correcting this economic recession and preventing further boom-bust cycles. Even if you do not like Ron Paul, read about economics at mises.org where you will get more info of what I’m talking about.

    – Dr. Paul does not seek to intervene in foreign nations’ interests. He does not support the idea of invading countries, of propping up military dictatorships in other nations or creating entangling alliances with nations that may not share the interests of the American people. He understands and warns of blowback often, and unheeded, we the people must bear the brunt of it — (through our taxes being spent and our nation hated around the world). He doesn’t agree with us having over 700 military bases in over 130 countries around the world, and neither do most of the American people. We don’t pay our taxes so you can spend it all and then some.

    – On the topic of taxes, Dr. Paul’s comprehension of our Constitution not only promotes a limited government that doesn’t spiral into needing more and more money from its citizens, but also puts a citizen in his own driver’s seat. The framers intended for us to be free men and women. We cannot be free if we have our money taken from us to do things that none of us fundementally agree on, and then somehow need to be allocated a larger budget for these programs year in year out. There are basic rights that we have as Americans — all candidates apart from Ron Paul openly admit to wanting to violate these rights.

    – Dr. Paul is not funded by corporations and interest groups that are trying to make money through policy; he is a strict constitutionalist. Like MOST Americans that are now struggling to make ends meet in their own homes, Ron Paul is a fiscal conservative, and has a very solid plan to implement this responsibility in our government. The reason he has such a solid base is he tells us honestly and in plain English why we are in the economic and social problems of today and it makes people very angry, because, well let’s not lie to ourselves, we’ve all been taken on a ride at our and our children’s and grandchildren’s expense.

Lastly, I trust him and I would urge you to do so as well. He is the only man up there looking out for the common man’s interest and he is punished brutally in the mainstream media for it. I can go on for hours about reasons to support Dr. Ron Paul, but instead please go to his website ronpaul2012.com and read about his policy, read about his executive plans, his voting record in Congress and watch his videos. He has no interest in bettering one man at the expense of another. He will continue to receive across-the-board support because he seeks to treat us equally — as individuals with undeniable rights — and as free men.

    For Liberty,

  48. So the Ron Paul supporters are imagining things because we keep saying there is massive voting fraud going on to make sure he doesn’t win?

Here is the smoking gun proof THE FRAUD IS NOT OUR IMAGINATION!!
Coming straight out of OBAMA’s mouth. There was a hot mic left on and he was recorded talking about the fraud.

Here u go and make sure u save this and pass it around!

  49. America also has to stop dumping on the European “social welfare state”, America is the laughing stock of the world in terms of its politics because occultist socially conservative fanatics like romney and santorum actually are respected candidates. America should learn soemthing from the world around them, the Americans dump on the European debt crisis but do not realize it is because of the way they mismanaged their money that led the economies of europe to collapse. instead america moves back into the middle ages with social issues and abandons all the libertarian values that made america the greatest country in the world. (independence to before World War Two) Since then america has abandoned all the libertarian and peace making values that made it great. Why is it americas role to police the world? The climate of fear in america perpetuated by the mass media conglomerates works now works to make america fear china. oh no, as if china poses any threat to america, they spend less that a seventh of what america spends on military. Matter of fact, they spend more money on military than China, Britain, France, Canada, India, Pakistan, Egypt, Germany, Japan, Russia, and Saudi Arabia combined. AND AMERICA SHOULD BE SCARED? China, 1945-49:
Intervened in a civil war, taking the side of Chiang Kai-shek against the Communists, even though the latter had been a much closer ally of the United States in the world war. The U.S. used defeated Japanese soldiers to fight for its side. The Communists forced Chiang to flee to Taiwan in 1949.
    Italy, 1947-48:
Using every trick in the book, the U.S. interfered in the elections to prevent the Communist Party from coming to power legally and fairly. This perversion of democracy was done in the name of “saving democracy” in Italy. The Communists lost. For the next few decades, the CIA, along with American corporations, continued to intervene in Italian elections, pouring in hundreds of millions of dollars and much psychological warfare to block the specter that was haunting Europe.
    Greece, 1947-49:
Intervened in a civil war, taking the side of the neo-fascists against the Greek left which had fought the Nazis courageously. The neo-fascists won and instituted a highly brutal regime, for which the CIA created a new internal security agency, KYP. Before long, KYP was carrying out all the endearing practices of secret police everywhere, including systematic torture.
    Philippines, 1945-53:
U.S. military fought against leftist forces (Huks) even while the Huks were still fighting against the Japanese invaders. After the war, the U. S. continued its fight against the Huks, defeating them, and then installing a series of puppets as president, culminating in the dictatorship of Ferdinand Marcos.
    South Korea, 1945-53:
After World War II, the United States suppressed the popular progressive forces in favor of the conservatives who had collaborated with the Japanese. This led to a long era of corrupt, reactionary, and brutal governments.
    Albania, 1949-53:
The U.S. and Britain tried unsuccessfully to overthrow the communist government and install a new one that would have been pro-Western and composed largely of monarchists and collaborators with Italian fascists and Nazis.
    Germany, 1950s:
The CIA orchestrated a wide-ranging campaign of sabotage, terrorism, dirty tricks, and psychological warfare against East Germany. This was one of the factors which led to the building of the Berlin Wall in 1961.
    Iran, 1953:
Prime Minister Mossadegh was overthrown in a joint U.S./British operation. Mossadegh had been elected to his position by a large majority of parliament, but he had made the fateful mistake of spearheading the movement to nationalize a British-owned oil company, the sole oil company operating in Iran. The coup restored the Shah to absolute power and began a period of 25 years of repression and torture, with the oil industry being restored to foreign ownership, as follows: Britain and the U.S., each 40 percent, other nations 20 percent.
    Guatemala, 1953-1990s:
A CIA-organized coup overthrew the democratically-elected and progressive government of Jacobo Arbenz, initiating 40 years of death-squads, torture, disappearances, mass executions, and unimaginable cruelty, totaling well over 100,000 victims -indisputably one of the most inhuman chapters of the 20th century. Arbenz had nationalized the U.S. firm, United Fruit Company, which had extremely close ties to the American power elite. As justification for the coup, Washington declared that Guatemala had been on the verge of a Soviet takeover, when in fact the Russians had so little interest in the country that it didn’t even maintain diplomatic relations. The real problem in the eyes of Washington, in addition to United Fruit, was the danger of Guatemala’s social democracy spreading to other countries in Latin America.
    Middle East, 1956-58:
The Eisenhower Doctrine stated that the United States “is prepared to use armed forces to assist” any Middle East country “requesting assistance against armed aggression from any country controlled by international communism.” The English translation of this was that no one would be allowed to dominate, or have excessive influence over, the middle east and its oil fields except the United States, and that anyone who tried would be, by definition, “Communist.” In keeping with this policy, the United States twice attempted to overthrow the Syrian government, staged several shows-of-force in the Mediterranean to intimidate movements opposed to U.S.-supported governments in Jordan and Lebanon, landed 14,000 troops in Lebanon, and conspired to overthrow or assassinate Nasser of Egypt and his troublesome middle-east nationalism.
    Indonesia, 1957-58:
Sukarno, like Nasser, was the kind of Third World leader the United States could not abide. He took neutralism in the cold war seriously, making trips to the Soviet Union and China (though to the White House as well). He nationalized many private holdings of the Dutch, the former colonial power. He refused to crack down on the Indonesian Communist Party, which was walking the legal, peaceful road and making impressive gains electorally. Such policies could easily give other Third World leaders “wrong ideas.” The CIA began throwing money into the elections, plotted Sukarno’s assassination, tried to blackmail him with a phony sex film, and joined forces with dissident military officers to wage a full-scale war against the government. Sukarno survived it all.
    British Guiana/Guyana, 1953-64:
For 11 years, two of the oldest democracies in the world, Great Britain and the United States, went to great lengths to prevent a democratically elected leader from occupying his office. Cheddi Jagan was another Third World leader who tried to remain neutral and independent. He was elected three times. Although a leftist-more so than Sukarno or Arbenz-his policies in office were not revolutionary. But he was still a marked man, for he represented Washington’s greatest fear: building a society that might be a successful example of an alternative to the capitalist model. Using a wide variety of tactics-from general strikes and disinformation to terrorism and British legalisms, the U. S. and Britain finally forced Jagan out in 1964. John F. Kennedy had given a direct order for his ouster, as, presumably, had Eisenhower.
One of the better-off countries in the region under Jagan, Guyana, by the 1980s, was one of the poorest. Its principal export became people.
    Vietnam, 1950-73:
The slippery slope began with siding with ~ French, the former colonizers and collaborators with the Japanese, against Ho Chi Minh and his followers who had worked closely with the Allied war effort and admired all things American. Ho Chi Minh was, after all, some kind of Communist. He had written numerous letters to President Truman and the State Department asking for America’s help in winning Vietnamese independence from the French and finding a peaceful solution for his country. All his entreaties were ignored. Ho Chi Minh modeled the new Vietnamese declaration of independence on the American, beginning it with “All men are created equal. They are endowed by their Creator with …” But this would count for nothing in Washington. Ho Chi Minh was some kind of Communist.
Twenty-three years and more than a million dead, later, the United States withdrew its military forces from Vietnam. Most people say that the U.S. lost the war. But by destroying Vietnam to its core, and poisoning the earth and the gene pool for generations, Washington had achieved its main purpose: preventing what might have been the rise of a good development option for Asia. Ho Chi Minh was, after all, some kind of communist.
    Cambodia, 1955-73:
Prince Sihanouk was yet another leader who did not fancy being an American client. After many years of hostility towards his regime, including assassination plots and the infamous Nixon/Kissinger secret “carpet bombings” of 1969-70, Washington finally overthrew Sihanouk in a coup in 1970. This was all that was needed to impel Pol Pot and his Khmer Rouge forces to enter the fray. Five years later, they took power. But five years of American bombing had caused Cambodia’s traditional economy to vanish. The old Cambodia had been destroyed forever.
Incredibly, the Khmer Rouge were to inflict even greater misery on this unhappy land. To add to the irony, the United States supported Pol Pot, militarily and diplomatically, after their subsequent defeat by the Vietnamese.
    The Congo/Zaire, 1960-65:
In June 1960, Patrice Lumumba became the Congo’s first prime minister after independence from Belgium. But Belgium retained its vast mineral wealth in Katanga province, prominent Eisenhower administration officials had financial ties to the same wealth, and Lumumba, at Independence Day ceremonies before a host of foreign dignitaries, called for the nation’s economic as well as its political liberation, and recounted a list of injustices against the natives by the white owners of the country. The man was obviously a “Communist.” The poor man was obviously doomed.
Eleven days later, Katanga province seceded, in September, Lumumba was dismissed by the president at the instigation of the United States, and in January 1961 he was assassinated at the express request of Dwight Eisenhower. There followed several years of civil conflict and chaos and the rise to power of Mobutu Sese Seko, a man not a stranger to the CIA. Mobutu went on to rule the country for more than 30 years, with a level of corruption and cruelty that shocked even his CIA handlers. The Zairian people lived in abject poverty despite the plentiful natural wealth, while Mobutu became a multibillionaire.
    Brazil, 1961-64:
President Joao Goulart was guilty of the usual crimes: He took an independent stand in foreign policy, resuming relations with socialist countries and opposing sanctions against Cuba; his administration passed a law limiting the amount of profits multinationals could transmit outside the country; a subsidiary of ITT was nationalized; he promoted economic and social reforms. And Attorney-General Robert Kennedy was uneasy about Goulart allowing “communists” to hold positions in government agencies. Yet the man was no radical. He was a millionaire land-owner and a Catholic who wore a medal of the Virgin around his neck. That, however, was not enough to save him. In 1964, he was overthrown in a military coup which had deep, covert American involvement. The official Washington line was…yes, it’s unfortunate that democracy has been overthrown in Brazil…but, still, the country has been saved from communism.
For the next 15 years, all the features of military dictatorship that Latin America has come to know were instituted: Congress was shut down, political opposition was reduced to virtual extinction, habeas corpus for “political crimes” was suspended, criticism of the president was forbidden by law, labor unions were taken over by government interveners, mounting protests were met by police and military firing into crowds, peasants’ homes were burned down, priests were brutalized…disappearances, death squads, a remarkable degree and depravity of torture…the government had a name for its program: the “moral rehabilitation” of Brazil.
Washington was very pleased. Brazil broke relations with Cuba and became one of the United States’ most reliable allies in Latin America.
    Dominican Republic, 1963-66:
In February 1963, Juan Bosch took office as the first democratically elected president of the Dominican Republic since 1924. Here at last was John F. Kennedy’s liberal anti-Communist, to counter the charge that the U.S. supported only military dictatorships. Bosch’s government was to be the long sought ” showcase of democracy ” that would put the lie to Fidel Castro. He was given the grand treatment in Washington shortly before he took office.
Bosch was true to his beliefs. He called for land reform, low-rent housing, modest nationalization of business, and foreign investment provided it was not excessively exploitative of the country and other policies making up the program of any liberal Third World leader serious about social change. He was likewise serious about civil liberties: Communists, or those labeled as such, were not to be persecuted unless they actually violated the law.
A number of American officials and congresspeople expressed their discomfort with Bosch’s plans, as well as his stance of independence from the United States. Land reform and nationalization are always touchy issues in Washington, the stuff that “creeping socialism” is made of. In several quarters of the U.S. press Bosch was red-baited.
In September, the military boots marched. Bosch was out. The United States, which could discourage a military coup in Latin America with a frown, did nothing.
Nineteen months later, a revolt broke out which promised to put the exiled Bosch back into power. The United States sent 23,000 troops to help crush it.
    Cuba, 1959 to present:
Fidel Castro came to power at the beginning of 1959. A U.S. National Security Council meeting of March 10, 1959 included on its agenda the feasibility of bringing “another government to power in Cuba.” There followed 40 years of terrorist attacks, bombings, full-scale military invasion, sanctions, embargoes, isolation, assassinations…Cuba had carried out The Unforgivable Revolution, a very serious threat of setting a “good example” in Latin America.
The saddest part of this is that the world will never know what kind of society Cuba could have produced if left alone, if not constantly under the gun and the threat of invasion, if allowed to relax its control at home. The idealism, the vision, the talent were all there. But we’ll never know. And that of course was the idea.
    Indonesia, 1965:
A complex series of events, involving a supposed coup attempt, a counter-coup, and perhaps a counter-counter-coup, with American fingerprints apparent at various points, resulted in the ouster from power of Sukarno and his replacement by a military coup led by General Suharto. The massacre that began immediately-of Communists, Communist sympathizers, suspected Communists, suspected Communist sympathizers, and none of the above-was called by the New York Times “one of the most savage mass slayings of modern political history.” The estimates of the number killed in the course of a few years begin at half a million and go above a million.
It was later learned that the U.S. embassy had compiled lists of “Communist” operatives, from top echelons down to village cadres, as many as 5,000 names, and turned them over to the army, which then hunted those persons down and killed them. The Americans would then check off the names of those who had been killed or captured. “It really was a big help to the army. They probably killed a lot of people, and I probably have a lot of blood on my hands,” said one U.S. diplomat. “But that’s not all bad. There’s a time when you have to strike hard at a decisive moment. ”
    Chile, 1964-73:
Salvador Allende was the worst possible scenario for a Washington imperialist. He could imagine only one thing worse than a Marxist in power-an elected Marxist in power, who honored the constitution, and became increasingly popular. This shook the very foundation stones on which the anti-Communist tower was built: the doctrine, painstakingly cultivated for decades, that “communists” can take power only through force and deception, that they can retain that power only through terrorizing and brainwashing the population.
After sabotaging Allende’s electoral endeavor in 1964, and failing to do so in 1970, despite their best efforts, the CIA and the rest of the American foreign policy machine left no stone unturned in their attempt to destabilize the Allende government over the next three years, paying particular attention to building up military hostility. Finally, in September 1973, the military overthrew the government, Allende dying in the process.
They closed the country to the outside world for a week, while the tanks rolled and the soldiers broke down doors; the stadiums rang with the sounds of execution and the bodies piled up along the streets and floated in the river; the torture centers opened for business; the subversive books were thrown into bonfires; soldiers slit the trouser legs of women, shouting that “In Chile women wear dresses!”; the poor returned to their natural state; and the men of the world in Washington and in the halls of international finance opened up their check- books. In the end, more than 3,000 had been executed, thousands more tortured or disappeared.
    Greece, 1964-74:
The military coup took place in April 1967, just two days before the campaign for j national elections was to begin, elections which appeared certain to bring the veteran liberal leader George Papandreou back as prime minister. Papandreou had been elected in February 1964 with the only outright majority in the history of modern Greek elections. The successful machinations to unseat him had begun immediately, a joint effort of the Royal Court, the Greek military, and the American military and CIA stationed in Greece. The 1967 coup was followed immediately by the traditional martial law, censorship, arrests, beatings, torture, and killings, the victims totaling some 8,000 in the first month. This was accompanied by the equally traditional declaration that this was all being done to save the nation from a “Communist takeover.” Corrupting and subversive influences in Greek life were to be removed. Among these were miniskirts, long hair, and foreign newspapers; church attendance for the young would be compulsory.
It was torture, however, which most indelibly marked the seven-year Greek nightmare. James Becket, an American attorney sent to Greece by Amnesty International, wrote in December 1969 that “a conservative estimate would place at not less than two thousand” the number of people tortured, usually in the most gruesome of ways, often with equipment supplied by the United States.
Becket reported the following: Hundreds of prisoners have listened to the little speech given by Inspector Basil Lambrou, who sits behind his desk which displays the red, white, and blue clasped-hand symbol of American aid. He tries to show the prisoner the absolute futility of resistance: “You make yourself ridiculous by thinking you can do anything. The world is divided in two. There are the communists on that side and on this side the free world. The Russians and the Americans, no one else. What are we? Americans. Behind me there is the government, behind the government is NATO, behind NATO is the U.S. You can’t fight us, we are Americans.”
George Papandreou was not any kind of radical. He was a liberal anti-Communist type. But his son Andreas, the heir-apparent, while only a little to the left of his father had not disguised his wish to take Greece out of the Cold War, and had questioned remaining in NATO, or at least as a satellite of the United States.
    East Timor, 1975 to present:
In December 1975, Indonesia invaded East Timor, which lies at the eastern end of the Indonesian archipelago, and which had proclaimed its independence after Portugal had relinquished control of it. The invasion was launched the day after U. S. President Gerald Ford and Secretary of State Henry Kissinger had left Indonesia after giving Suharto permission to use American arms, which, under U.S. Iaw, could not be used for aggression. Indonesia was Washington’s most valuable tool in Southeast Asia.
Amnesty International estimated that by 1989, Indonesian troops, with the aim of forcibly annexing East Timor, had killed 200,000 people out of a population of between 600,000 and 700,000. The United States consistently supported Indonesia’s claim to East Timor (unlike the UN and the EU), and downplayed the slaughter to a remarkable degree, at the same time supplying Indonesia with all the military hardware and training it needed to carry out the job.
    Nicaragua, 1978-89:
When the Sandinistas overthrew the Somoza dictatorship in 1978, it was clear to Washington that they might well be that long-dreaded beast-“another Cuba.” Under President Carter, attempts to sabotage the revolution took diplomatic and economic forms. Under Reagan, violence was the method of choice. For eight terribly long years, the people of Nicaragua were under attack by Washington’s proxy army, the Contras, formed from Somoza’s vicious National Guard and other supporters of the dictator. It was all-out war, aiming to destroy the progressive social and economic programs of the government, burning down schools and medical clinics, raping, torturing, mining harbors, bombing and strafing. These were Ronald Reagan’s “freedom fighters.” There would be no revolution in Nicaragua.
    Grenada, 1979-84:
What would drive the most powerful nation in the world to invade a country of 110,000? Maurice Bishop and his followers had taken power in a 1979 coup, and though their actual policies were not as revolutionary as Castro’s, Washington was again driven by its fear of “another Cuba,” particularly when public appearances by the Grenadian leaders in other countries of the region met with great enthusiasm.
    U. S. destabilization tactics against the Bishop government began soon after the coup and continued until 1983, featuring numerous acts of disinformation and dirty tricks. The American invasion in October 1983 met minimal resistance, although the U.S. suffered 135 killed or wounded; there were also some 400 Grenadian casualties, and 84 Cubans, mainly construction workers.
At the end of 1984, a questionable election was held which was won by a man supported by the Reagan administration. One year later, the human rights organization, Council on Hemispheric Affairs, reported that Grenada’s new U.S.-trained police force and counter-insurgency forces had acquired a reputation for brutality, arbitrary arrest, and abuse of authority, and were eroding civil rights.
In April 1989, the government issued a list of more than 80 books which were prohibited from being imported. Four months later, the prime minister suspended parliament to forestall a threatened no-confidence vote resulting from what his critics called “an increasingly authoritarian style.”
    Libya, 1981-89:
Libya refused to be a proper Middle East client state of Washington. Its leader, Muammar el-Qaddafi, was uppity. He would have to be punished. U.S. planes shot down two Libyan planes in what Libya regarded as its air space. The U. S . also dropped bombs on the country, killing at least 40 people, including Qaddafi’s daughter. There were other attempts to assassinate the man, operations to overthrow him, a major disinformation campaign, economic sanctions, and blaming Libya for being behind the Pan Am 103 bombing without any good evidence.
    Panama, 1989:
Washington’s bombers strike again. December 1989, a large tenement barrio in Panama City wiped out, 15,000 people left homeless. Counting several days of ground fighting against Panamanian forces, 500-something dead was the official body count, what the U.S. and the new U.S.-installed Panamanian government admitted to; other sources, with no less evidence, insisted that thousands had died; 3,000-something wounded. Twenty-three Americans dead, 324 wounded.
Question from reporter: “Was it really worth it to send people to their death for this? To get Noriega?”
George Bush: “Every human life is precious, and yet I have to answer, yes, it has been worth it.”
Manuel Noriega had been an American ally and informant for years until he outlived his usefulness. But getting him was not the only motive for the attack. Bush wanted to send a clear message to the people of Nicaragua, who had an election scheduled in two months, that this might be their fate if they reelected the Sandinistas. Bush also wanted to flex some military muscle to illustrate to Congress the need for a large combat-ready force even after the very recent dissolution of the “Soviet threat.” The official explanation for the American ouster was Noriega’s drug trafficking, which Washington had known about for years and had not been at all bothered by.
    Iraq, 1990s:
Relentless bombing for more than 40 days and nights, against one of the most advanced nations in the Middle East, devastating its ancient and modern capital city; 177 million pounds of bombs falling on the people of Iraq, the most concentrated aerial onslaught in the history of the world; depleted uranium weapons incinerating people, causing cancer; blasting chemical and biological weapon storage and oil facilities; poisoning the atmosphere to a degree perhaps never matched anywhere; burying soldiers alive, deliberately; the infrastructure destroyed, with a terrible effect on health; sanctions continued to this day multiplying the health problems; perhaps a million children dead by now from all of these things, even more adults.
Iraq was the strongest military power among the Arab states. This may have been their crime. Noam Chomsky has written: “It’s been a leading, driving doctrine of U.S. foreign policy since the 1940s that the vast and unparalleled energy resources of the Gulf region will be effectively dominated by the United States and its clients, and, crucially, that no independent, indigenous force will be permitted to have a substantial influence on the administration of oil production and price. ”
    Afghanistan, 1979-92:
Everyone knows of the unbelievable repression of women in Afghanistan, carried out by Islamic fundamentalists, even before the Taliban. But how many people know that during the late 1970s and most of the 1980s, Afghanistan had a government committed to bringing the incredibly backward nation into the 20th century, including giving women equal rights? What happened, however, is that the United States poured billions of dollars into waging a terrible war against this government, simply because it was supported by the Soviet Union. Prior to this, CIA operations had knowingly increased the probability of a Soviet intervention, which is what occurred. In the end, the United States won, and the women, and the rest of Afghanistan, lost. More than a million dead, three million disabled, five million refugees, in total about half the population.
    El Salvador, 1980-92:
El Salvador’s dissidents tried to work within the system. But with U.S. support, the government made that impossible, using repeated electoral fraud and murdering hundreds of protesters and strikers. In 1980, the dissidents took to the gun, and civil war.
Officially, the U.S. military presence in El Salvador was limited to an advisory capacity. In actuality, military and CIA personnel played a more active role on a continuous basis. About 20 Americans were killed or wounded in helicopter and plane crashes while flying reconnaissance or other missions over combat areas, and considerable evidence surfaced of a U.S. role in the ground fighting as well. The war came to an official end in 1992; 75,000 civilian deaths and the U.S. Treasury depleted by six billion dollars. Meaningful social change has been largely thwarted. A handful of the wealthy still own the country, the poor remain as ever, and dissidents still have to fear right-wing death squads.
    Haiti, 1987-94:
The U.S. supported the Duvalier family dictatorship for 30 years, then opposed the reformist priest, Jean-Bertrand Aristide. Meanwhile, the CIA was working intimately with death squads, torturers, and drug traffickers. With this as background, the Clinton White House found itself in the awkward position of having to pretend-because of all their rhetoric about “democracy”-that they supported Aristide’s return to power in Haiti after he had been ousted in a 1991 military coup. After delaying his return for more than two years, Washington finally had its military restore Aristide to office, but only after obliging the priest to guarantee that he would not help the poor at the expense of the rich, and that he would stick closely to free-market economics. This meant that Haiti would continue to be the assembly plant of the Western Hemisphere, with its workers receiving literally starvation wages.
    Yugoslavia, 1999:
The United States is bombing the country back to a pre-industrial era. It would like the world to believe that its intervention is motivated only by “humanitarian” impulses. Perhaps the above history of U.S. interventions can help one decide how much weight to place on this claim.
    This is sheer madness

    • @Andreas Batten –

Too bad your overly-simplistic, unsupported, and anti-American diatribe was likely overlooked by 99% of those reading this forum. You want to blame everything on America and in particular on conservatives. America was never a libertarian country, and certainly not in the pre-WWII period when Roosevelt was achieving the first salvo against capitalism, individual responsibility, and our Constitutional Republic.

You like progressives, well Roosevelt is the American Progressive Movement’s hero. Yet he was an antisemitic who rounded up tens of thousands of Japanese Americans and put them in horrific internment camps in clear violation of our Constitution. I actually met a Jewish man whose mother and sister were on a refugee ship from Nazi Germany that Roosevelt turned back to Germany. All those on board, including this man’s sister and mother were subsequently put to death by the Nazis.

Russia and its Bolshevist government who had been allies with Hitler and should not have been trusted were able to take advantage of the fact that Truman who had been kept out of the loop by Roosevelt came on the scene at a critical moment in the days following Germany’s collapse.

It was Russia’s refusal to cooperate with the victorious allies that led to near starvation in West Berlin and required America’s heroic life saving airlifts to those behind the walls Russia erected. Russia started the cold war and America under Ronald Reagan ended it. Russia was the only “allied” nation that did not pull out of Germany and allow free elections. Ask the Germans what it was like in East Germany under their puppet regimes for nearly half a century. Ask them how it was like stepping back in time when they were finally able to bring East Germany back into unity with Germany.

Spew your anti-American nonsense elsewhere. Even the Paul supporters know that America is a great nation.

Regarding the financial problems in Europe and once again blaming America. First it was the left in America under the progressive hero Bill Clinton that set the stage for the housing bubble/financial disaster. No less than 17 times during the George W. Bush administration the President sent officials to the Congress to warn of the impending crisis and what was causing it and what needed to be done. Make no mistake it was the liberal democrats in Congress that blocked all efforts to fix it before it became a disaster.

It was Maxine Waters (liberal democrat congresswoman) who praised the management of Franklin Rains at Fannie Mae while he made nearly One Hundred Million Dollars for himself and later became a chief adviser to President Obama.

It was Barney Frank (another liberal darling who allowed his boyfriend to run male prostitution ring out of his home) who accused Bush and his people of racism for warning of the impending doom.

And if the European liberals, socialists, and progressives are so superior to Americans why did they rely heavily enough on American financial markets and products as to be so devastated by the collapse? And let’s not forget that Greece, Portugal, Italy, Spain and Ireland were already in trouble financially before anything involving American financial systems occurred. There is a reason they had been referred to as the PIGS nations long before America’s current financial problems began.

Oh, and as for your heroes the Chinese communists, Chiang Kai-Shek was the ally to Britain before America even became involved in WWII. The communists weakened the Chinese government so much that Chiang Kai-Shek was unable to keep the Japanese from over-running his country during the war.

The mistake of the west was that it failed to continue to more fully support him in the aftermath of the war. Mao murdered millions in his take over of that country. And the communists were responsible for Tienanmen Square and the Communists still persecute religious and ethnic minorities all over China and they use prisoners for organ factories, and force abortions and sterilization among the poor and powerless. They still parade condemned criminals through city streets bound and gagged on flatbed trucks prior to execution to scare the populous and keep them under the iron fist of communism.

You need to stop buying into the leftist propaganda and revisionist history and wake up and realize where Europe and much of the rest of the world would be if not for America. You want to hate us until the bad guys are knocking down your doors and then you want us to save you. If you hate us so much then stop taking our aid, financial and otherwise, and stand on your own merits.

European countries were doing pretty well until they tried to remake themselves in what they thought was the American image with the European Union. Ask the British why they are not full members and why they insist on keeping control of their currency and other matters while the EU experiment fails miserably. The EU is not and never was going to be America.

The problems in Europe are the inevitable result of socialism. As Margaret Thatcher so aptly put it, “the problem with socialism is that sooner or later you run out of other people’s money.” The Euro will collapse possibly before the end of 2012. The EU will be largely dismantled over the next decade while America under new leadership will recover and again prosper once we jettison the progressives’ efforts to make America like Europe.

And after the EU proponents spend a decade blaming America for the EU’s demise they will come to America to help them rebuild. And America will help without regard to how we have been vilified by those in charge over there with the large mouths and small brains.

The European people are awesome like the American people are awesome. Most of them are realizing that the socialist/progressives lied to them and sold them a bill of goods that they could never deliver. Americans are experiencing the same awakening. Let us hope it continues more quickly than it has in Europe for the sake of all of us.

American exceptionalism is alive and well and will prevail!

  50. Give me a break. That is what we need is Washington insider in the White House. What is wrong now. No, we don’t need a gynecologist there either.

  51. Ron Paul doesn’t appear to have enough sense to come in out of the rain. We need a third party bad in this country. Where is Ralph Nadar now?

  52. 1776 – American settlers Declared their Independence

About 10 years later, these settlers finally agreed on a Constitution and authorised dignitaries from all 13 States/Districts became signatories. Thus the United States of America was born.

About 20 years later, the newly created United States of America declared bankruptcy as it was unable to repay it’s debt to King George, via the French and IMF, for the conflict against the British. In haste, in order to continue trading with other states and countries, whilst in a state of bankruptcy and thus being returned to British Rule, 3 things happened.

1/ a ten square mile piece of unused dirt land between two States/Districts was designated as a new, non-signatory, State/District. This was named as the District of Columbia.

2/ a Corporation was created so that the people could continue trading with other States/Districts and Countries around the World. This was called The UNITED STATES of AMERICA Corporation and would exist within the new District of Columbia.

3/ ALL the former States signatories were called upon to ‘re-sign’ a ‘new’ Constitution, without being told anything other than it had been revised. One by one they all signed. Thus the Constitution of the UNITED STATES of AMERICA Corporation was endorsed.

So… the United States of America (country consisting of 13 States/Districts) was returned to King George and his heirs and a new privately owned corporation, the UNITED STATES of AMERICA CORP, was born. One by one, other newly formed States were ‘asked/persuaded’ to join and sign the documents.

After several arguments with the British Parliament over what can be used as money to pay for goods and taxes, despite the American ‘President’ creating an American paper currency and the British demanding Gold or Silver or British Tally-sticks, this new USA became bankrupt. This was then abolished and replaced by The Corporation Trust of America. More newly created States were ‘persuaded’ to sign the documents to pro-up the debt.

Being only a matter of time, as the Americans were so good at keeping their finances in check, this new corporation also went bankrupt and was renamed, in order to keep trading, to The Corporation Trust.

The America currency went out the window, the ‘federal bank’ failed and a new private bank emerged. The beloved Federal Reserve. This private bank owned all of the American corporation debt and since the corp was in debt to it, it asked the ‘president’ for some form of collateral asset it had to prop-up and pay the debt. Thus the Federal Reserve Act and the Social Care/Security system was created. This meaning that every person born in the care of the American corporation was now being signed over to the Federal Reserve as an asset to pay off a debt. Citizen = Slave worker!

“We’re Not here because we’re Free. We’re here because We’re Not Free.”
    – The Matrix

    And now you know!

The ‘American President’ is nothing more than a figure-head president of a bankrupt corporation owned by the private bank The Federal Reserve, and NOT of a country. An you wondered why the Federal Reserve doesn’t think it’s accountable to Congress!

So… enjoy your fake fixed fraudulent GOP scam. The bank has already chosen it’s figure-head president and is only allowing this scam to continue to prevent a continental riot and war against it by the people that they are trying so hard to keep in the dark.

Land of the Free and Home of the Brave? Not any more.

Land of the FEMA camp and home of the Slave Worker.

The ‘USA’ isn’t turning into a fascist state, it’s just business! Now, do as you’re told! Sit down, don’t question authority, get back to work and pay your taxes, slave!

(maybe ‘americans’ should have paid more attention in history class!)

        • Clearly you think your posting was very clever, but incoherence is hardly enlightening. You’ve wasted enough of my time. Unless you’d like to make an intelligent point, I’ll be moving on.

          • Incoherent? Perhaps you’re not used to understanding things that aren’t lies. Time to wake up. Everything you think you know about your ‘country’ is a lie, and as long as you’ve got a National Security number, all you are is a corporate asset/slave/property owned by the Federal Reserve, IMF and Queen Elizabeth II.

            Seems pretty clear to me.

          • @meeman – You clearly are not as bright as you have been led to believe. I believe you called someone on this forum a moron earlier. Perhaps you need to rethink your own philosophy and where it came from. Fortunately for you, you live in a country where you can spew such nonsense and only end up looking foolish rather than ending up in prison or worse because of your uninformed opinions.

You’ll waste no more of my time. No wonder people think Ron Paul is so far out there, once they see many of his supporters in action. Don’t try to deny it, you are a Paulniac and as kooky as many of his other supporters I’ve witnessed. So if Paul were to win the GOP nomination, let me see if I understand, would that still be a GOP scam? If he is so superior to everyone and so vastly more intelligent, please explain why he is participating in the “GOP scam”? Cannot come up with a logical explanation for the illogical, can you?

          • Irregardless of who ‘wins’ this pantomime mockery, it remains a scam and a farce.

I don’t know why Ron Paul is running in this fake race. Perhaps you’d better ask him. Maybe it’s an attempt to make the best of a bad situation and take financial, genocidal, maniacal, destructive powers away from the bankers and their puppet pawn military without force; while there’s still time to do it peacefully.

As for my ‘opinions’ are concerned, I haven’t ventured one. What I’ve written is documented fact. Go check for yourself.

You seem concerned about who and which country did this or that and when. Yet you haven’t opened your eyes to see that it’s the banks that fund these things; whether they be jobs, hospitals, schools, education schemes, churches, recessions, wars or nations. You’re getting bogged-down with incidentals. A simple distraction. Look, a bright shiny thing.

Time to take a step back and take another look at what’s actually going on and who’s pulling the strings. Are you not aware that the so-called ‘axis of evil’ nations are the few not controlled/indebted to the IMF? Did you think this was about Politics or Politicians? Not only are you deliberately, intellectually dumbed-down, but truly naive if you think that it was.

Don’t you worry about anything. With the FBI, CIA, DEA, SWAT, DHS, Patriot Act I and II, the TSA, the NDAA, the removal of Rights and Habeas Corpus, bank bailouts and forced homelessness, the eradication of monetary value and true ‘wealth’ of Liberty, Private Prisons, torture training, Guantanamo, FEMA Camps, forced vaccinations of untested substances and implanted data chips, 24 hour digital spying, Predator Drones in ‘USA’ airspace, irradiated Uranium shells, illegal invasions, acts of mass genocide, and a ‘president’ that can have anyone he chooses assassinated; I’m sure your ‘government’ will take of you just fine.

You can get back to your self deluded, self-proclaiming intellectualism now, slave. Don’t forget to pay your taxes! Someone has to pay for all this enslavement. It isn’t free, you know. Just like you.

    • There needs to be some fact checking done here as people begin to state as fact things that do not match up with historical documents.
*The IMF was drafted in 1929 but not proposed until 1932 and not implemented til 1933 so the IMF statement is clearly out of sync with historical fact.
*Author Adam Smith proposed the idea of laissez-faire capitalism and the “invisible hand theory” about the time of the American revolution. Therefore the idea of a corporate conspiracy – if it happened that way – would have been drafted before the outcome of the revolutionary war could be known.
*In 1783 the delegates to the Congress of Confederation voted to create a capital by cession of particular states so that part of the story is suspect. Furthur Maryland and Virginia ceded land to the project in 1788 and 1789 respectively so that part of the story is even more suspect.
*In 1791 President Washington appointed L’Enfant to design a plan to build a new capital on the Potomac after much discussion by the congress.
*In 1790 the Southern States acting as all the states did at the time, independant of each other had largely repaid their overseas war debts but agreed to share the northern debt in return for a capital to be built in the south. This is the kernal of truth that gives the whole story an anchor.
But in 1811 amid “attrocities abroad” involving the inscription by force of American sailors and British intervention in the “Indian problem” The United States declared war on Britain. In 1814 the British destroyed DC raiding the treasury in the process. This could be called a bancruptcy in the loosest use of the term. But the States still held independant treasuries and separate economies so there was no real loss of ability to pay. France at the time did not want the Americans using the British monetary system but rather a version of their own so as to destabilize the pound. The dollar was born. A banking system based on gold was established to give it credibility among all the states and everyone was equally displeased so it worked.
++ I stopped analyzing here ++I am bothered by the inconsistencies of your retelling of history and also by the speed at which it was so elegantly parsed. This tells me that you did not do the research yourself but are actually regurgitating – that is someone else spoke or wrote it into you and you blindly repeated it.
The United States did enough throughout history to be ashamed of without people inventing “Illuminati” organizations and re-writing history to prove their point. I will myself angrily rant about the treatment of Mexican, Asian, Native American and African(black and white) minorities. But always with TRUTH. Carefully researched, unvarnished, told from the perspective of the loser as well as the winner. TRUTH. You should be ashamed of the way you become a purvayor of lies in order to defeat purvayors of lies. When two liars debate then the winner of the debate is a liar.

  53. @meeman – blah blah blah. You exposed your own lack of intellectual honesty by laying all the ills of the world at the feet of the GOP, even historical ills that occurred before there was a GOP. You see in others your own failing intellect. Are there real problems in this country and in the world, absolutely. I thank God that it is not up to you to solve them.

So, let me see if I can help others see your nonsense. When a liberal wins the White House then it is not a scam, but the GOP going through the identical process to nominate someone is a GOP scam? Correct? So, this all-powerful force or group or cabal can manipulate the entire world through the actions of a select few, but couldn’t stop Barak Hussein Obama from getting into the White House and shoving Obamacare, bank and insurance takeovers, deals with auto unions and other actions down our throats?

Oh, and under Bush we captured Sadam Hussein and he was tried in his own country’s courts, but when Obama orders the death of an American citizen linked to terrorism somehow in your world this is either okay or is still somehow the fault of the GOP? Which is it? Am I understanding your delusion yet?

And if by “National Security number” you mean the SSN each American has, well it was not the GOP that instituted Social Security now was it? Look, the GOP has screwed up a lot over the last decade or so to be certain. Nominating Dole in 1996 and McCain in 2008 are two excellent examples. Spending way too much money is another. Allowing the libs in Congress to scare them with cries of racism and mere threats at filibusters is another area where they continue to screw up.

If there were another legitimate pathway to defeating Obama this year besides the GOP candidate, I would be all in favor of it, but the immediate problem is to reverse the course set by Obama, Pelosi, and Reid, and other like-minded individuals.

We have many serious problems to tackle in this country, but by your view of the world why would you even bother with this forum. If you were indeed correct then we would all be helpless to effect any kind of change.

Oh, and you have ventured nothing but opinion thus far. The opinion that another poster is a moron for example, that I am self-deluded while you are keenly aware of all that is truth is another opinion. And, sorry, but a mere listing of agency and legislative initials hardly constitutes “documented fact”.

It saddens me that you live in a world of paranoid delusion and that no one close to you has cared enough to assist you in getting the much needed help you should have. Next thing you will be laying the assassination of JFK at the feet of the GOP and the Federal Reserve, and perhaps Queen Elizabeth. Perhaps you are the angry lone nut that those in power should fear?

    Seek help.

    • Are you not listening? There is NO USA. It’s NOT a Country.

You know what, just go back to sleep, sheep.

      • Your rhetorical skills are astounding! Frankly, I am amazed you haven’t saved America and the World singlehandedly! Or perhaps you’d rather see America fail so as to prove your genius and unparalleled foresight.

Clearly your seeking help on your own is a forlorn hope. Perhaps someone will intervene before it is too late. I will pray for this on your behalf.

    • The only candidate, who should be nominated is Ron Paul- the only normal man in this crowd. The rest of it, it is loss of voice and danger for own country and for another countries.

  54. People are not so much as SHEEP as some would believe, unless they’re Democrats of course. Ron Paul is the distant fourth for a reason. His debate skills are weak. Gingrich, with all his experience, has a significantly less than ideal personal life, which says a lot about who a person really is. Romney, although the most qualified, has a flip-flopping record. Santorum is no more conservative than Romney. The real reason Romney and Santorum are the front runners is because they are both moderates. Moderates are proven to be more effective as Presidents. A President that is too conservative or too liberal creates strong bi-partisan polarity. When that happens, nothing gets done but a lot of arguing. That’s what we have now! It’s time to get the liberal kook out of office and put in either Romney or Santorum. Either one is what we need. May one or the other best men win.

    • All very good points! Thanks!

I also particularly like your comment about ‘sheep’ I’m tired to of hearing that over-used and condescending term applied to the GOP voters who favor any other candidate than Ron Paul.

  55. Pass it on..

ILLEGAL EVERYTHING — Must-Watch special aired on FOX! See it below:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?&v=CFfVeXhtRa0

It is estimated that nearly 500,000,000 as of 2010 (and each year EVEN MORE are passed) — about 1/2 billion — NEGATIVE Laws/rules/regulations are on the books, meaning: “You, the US Citizen, cannot do 1/2 billion things, because we, the Government, have deemed such actions ILLEGAL.”

More Negative Laws than the total count of US Citizens (including babies, children, and adults in our Nation)!

The Arrogance of Office is best displayed by this pernicious Sophism: “Ignorance of the Law is no excuse”.

No sane person can expect an individual to memorize all the names of the 312 million US Citizens — but same individual is expected to know the EXACTITUDE of ALL 1/2 billion LAWS (or be penalized for the IGNORANCE)?!

The Great Roman Statesman Cicero stated: ‘The MORE Laws in a Nation, the LESS Justice for the Citizens’ — nearly 2000 years later, Cicero’s warning rings true: *More Laws = Less Liberty*!

  56. For all the Ron Paul fanatics: I have stopped viewing the films and going to the links that you provide to “prove” Ron Paul would win against Obama and is being kept out of the running by ballot fraud.
They are clearly slanted. You could easily envision the left wing fanatics making similar statements and movies. Oh wait. they did. until they won. then everything was fair!?!
Obama would do better against Paul if he thought he was going to be the Republican candidate. Obama’s guns are pointed at Romney right now and Republican extremists in general.
And remember, Obama is from Chicago. I wish he would not sink to rigging ballots but he definitely knows how. And he is a master of the sound bite and the misdirected and out of context quote.
If Ron Paul can’t win against Romney and Santorum how will he fair against a man that redifines the term “teflon president”.
I’ll say it again, though I don’t think anyone is reading me. I agree with the views put forward by Ron Paul. Not his campaign management. And certainly not his self-portrait as the oppressed outsider. Right now he is painting a picture of a whining candidate – not a winning candidate. Americans in general and Republicans in particular love winners and dispise whiners.
ps. please start proofreading your posts. It hurts my eyes to see so many … ahhhhhh … lets call them typos.

    • Augie —

The belief that because Obama is a great Orator, does not mean he is a good Debater. This myth needs to be dispelled:

      1) As Orator (meaning: during an uninterrupted monologue) Obama’s reading of the tele-prompter is superb — he has the hand gestures down pat, the movement of his head to stare at an upper left, or right, diagonal, while taking a pause to underscore his point and thus allowing time for applauding, before he stares at the camera again and delivers the next segment of his PRE-WRITTEN Speech. His mastery of delivering dogma as “truth”, is only second to Goebbels propaganda abilities.

      2) As Debater (meaning: the ability to prove whose ideas are valid vs those that are illogical) — Obama is lost without the tele-prompter. Unless the questions were submitted beforehand, and his answers scripted, he gets annoyed when asked something he did not expect. When stumped by a question he does not know the answer, Obama becomes peevishly angry, he wails his hands, shakes his head, and responds with the COARSEST of Cliches! Then, he stumbles and bumbles his way trying to correct his outbursts by spouting irrelevant dogma! Pathetic — is the only proper word describing his debating “skills”.

      ———————————————————–

For those that believe BO is a great orator — you are 100% correct!

For those that believe BO is a great debater — you are 100% wrong!

      ——————————————————-

Note this — when BO ran in 2008, he had NO record to be debated.
Now, he has a horrible record as president — so anyone (without skeletons in the closet) will DESTROY this small-minded, perfidious clown!

Ron Paul — who is a CONSTITUTIONAL Patriot — is the best one equipped to dismantle BO’s socialist dogma in a one-on-one debate for the Presidency!

      • You have to be kidding the only good Ron Paul is going to be is if someone in the White House is having a baby. Get the rich out of the White House! Come on Huckabee jump in.

      • I debated in high school and college. In a debate proving a thing is true is not the same as it actually being true so BO was able to prove to the majority of americans that his way to improve the economy was correct. yes he was wrong but he proved he was right to enough people to ensure his eventual election.
Don’t forget that BO has been hammering on Republicans as being obstructionists. No I don’t believe him but on the debate floor he will “remind” us how he was not allowed to put forward his plans.
UNTRUE – YES but in a televised debate truth can be lost to sound bytes. and BO is really good at picking up grains of truth in a silo of untruth and making those “truths” seem like the whole truth.

  57. The way that I have been able to get the UNDECIDED to make a commitment to vote for NEWT was to ask them if they feel if this is the MOST important election in our lifetime; and then let them answer that question with their own thoughts first!

Then, after a few key points from my personal opinions, I would finally ask them who do they think would BEST KNOCK OUT obama if given the chance…the answer is ALWAYS THE SAME: NEWT OF COURSE! checkmate…

It’s PAYBACK TIME TO FOXNEWS: TURN OFF O’REILLY and make as many calls for NEWT during O’Reilly’s Show Time

    http://www.newtsnetwork.com

Hit O’Reilly where it counts: RATINGS!!

And, don’t forget to let O’Reilly know that you are NOT watching his show, but rather making calls for NEWT…

email O’Reilly’s show at: [email protected] LET HIM KNOW that YOU are FED UP with HIM and Foxnews “slathering” reporting for the RINO!!

I made 13 calls during O’Reilly’s showtime today and convinced 4 to switch their vote from Rick to NEWT and convinced another one to GO vote!!! Yeah! I had a great long conversation with a VET who will NOW vote for NEWT!

Poll: Gingrich’s Numbers Up in Alabama, Mississippi

  58. Sadly, I expect more of these type of posts. Its the “them against us conspiracy”. And combined with the “I’ll vote for the devil if he can beat Obama” chant.
But take it from an old man that went to war under Johnson but saw most of my friends die under Nixon there is no them vs us. We are them.
We make the policies of amnesia possible because we take statements at face value and don’t research them. I remember how Newt attacked Clinton for hypocracy and letting his sex drive ruin America all while he was having an affair with his future wife/future ex wife.
I remember his contract with America and how he not only failed to live up to it but actually made it possible to empower fannie and freddie to give out loans to people who could not afford and did not understand them.
He demonstrated a lack of respect for the office he now seeks and a disdain for the poor in his state and the country. His bluster and bravado made good headlines but resulted in a more divided nation. His characterization of all democrats as extreme liberals actually made the republican party more conservative politically. Under his watch the mexican was made a scapegoat for the failing economy which incidently rebounded on some accidental good decisions by Clinton. and bad ones by Newt.
I remember Newt. and his wives. and his religions. and the hatred of outsiders. and the distrust of the system he now thinks he can run.
Now, I am not one that thinks the president is all powerful. Mitt and Rick can say they will abolish Obamacare but that will not be possible if we lose the House and/or we lose the Senate. And I think that Newt would divide republicans sufficiently to cause that.
No. I don’t trust Newt. I know he can organize a movement and possibly beat Obama in the general election. But if he wins I will not want to live in this country as a latin, asian, black or native american. And when that happens the economy will become so burdened that a second civil war will break out and America’s great military might will be used against it. There, for everyone to see is the real conspiracy. The “us against them” is not the fanatical liberal against the scheming entrenched right-winger. It is the inevitable fall of those who legislate separation and move the poor like chess pieces in order to win the most power and influence for themselves and their cronies. Both parties are guilty of this and the best solution is to start putting up honest candidates who will put their hearts and souls into the politics of charity and not the politics of greed. They may lose. Obama is a gifted liar. and commands incredible wealth and a massive propaganda machine. But make no mistake. Gingrich in the Oval Office is not for the hard working stiff trying to get by on $10/hr. or the college graduate that hopes to get a job that helps people. This would be a country for the pyramid planners and get rich with other people’s money hawks. An honest man may lose the contest. But in the end an honest man will persevere and restore the nation to respecability.
I would take Rick, Ron, Palin or Mitt (in that order) over Newt.

    • Look Augie, Newt has had his problems as have all political candidates. But, your distortions of Newt are pathological. The Contract with America that set the stage for the 1994 takeover of Congress by the GOP after half a century of Democrat control was historical beyond this election victory it helped to bring.

First, the contract was a pledge to bring ten reform actions to the House floor for open, public debate, and a vote in the wake of decades of Democrats using gerrymandered House rules to stall legislation in committees that they did not allow to be open to the public.

Every one of the ten legislative initiatives was brought to the House floor for open public debate and for a vote. I will have to look up the particulars at another time, but I believe all but one was passed in the House and all but two were passed by the Senate. The pledge was to bring them to the floor for full and open debate and for a vote. This promise was kept.

One of the laws passed opened all but the most sensitive committees to the public. Another stopped the House from passing laws that we as citizens had to live by, but then exempted members of the House from having to comply. If we had continued with these policies, then House members like Nancy Pelosi would be in prison today for insider trading instead of shoving laws like Obamacare down our throats (again by gerrymandered House rules, secret meetings, and threats and bribes of House members to get their votes).

After Bill Clinton lost his democrat lock on the Congress in 1994 he moderated somewhat and cooperated with the Congress to pass welfare reform and to balance the budget. Some suggest this moderation and the successes it brought are why he won a second term in 1996. Obama should have paid attention to this and moderated his positions to cooperate with the GOP House beginning January 2011. If he had then the economy would likely be growing, unemployment would likely be dropping, and the GOP would be very worried Obama would cruise to easy victory in 2012.

Support the positions and experience and record of your candidate of choice and stop trying to tear other candidates down with distortions and personal attacks. Newt has seen the error of his ways regarding marital fidelity. He has put this behind him and you ought to do the same. I was angry with Newt over his ad with Nancy Pelosi on the Global Warming Scam, but I believe he has acknowledged this as a mistake. Take a look at his ideas for how to turn this country around and stop dwelling on the distant past as your only source of opposition. And a distortion of that distant past in particular.

If he is as bad as you would like to believe then an accurate presentation of his past legislative record should be sufficient to make your point. If more of us would heed this admonition then sleazy attack ads would stop being effective and this would result in more issues based campaigns.

As long as distortion and sleazy attacks work, they will be the approach of those with no record, bad records, and lack of constructive ideas (i.e. the Democrats). The change has to begin with “We the People” for it will not begin with the sleazy and desperate who rely upon this approach exclusively. This used to be the tactic of the left, why have so many on the right and in the middle adopted it?

      • I give you technicality:
Don’t get too happy with those “successes”
Gingriches contract with America consisted of the following:
        1.require all laws that apply to the rest of the country also apply to Congress;
        2.select a major, independent auditing firm to conduct a comprehensive audit of Congress for waste, fraud or abuse;
        3.cut the number of House committees, and cut committee staff by one-third;
        4.limit the terms of all committee chairs;
        5.ban the casting of proxy votes in committee;
        6.require committee meetings to be open to the public;
        7.require a three-fifths majority vote to pass a tax increase;
8.guarantee an honest accounting of the Federal Budget by implementing zero base-line budgeting.
**Resulted in 14 bills: 7 passed and 5 failed. SOUNDS LIKE SUCCESS
        BUT:
        #1 never acted on.
        #2 acted on but failed.
        #3 never acted on.
        #4 never acted on.
        #6 never acted on.
        #7 acted on but failed.
        #8 acted on but failed.
*ADVERTISED AS BILLS TO FULFILL THE CONTRACT:
        The Fiscal Responsibility Act
The Taking Back Our Streets Act
        The Personal Responsibility Act
        The American Dream Restoration Act
        The National Security Restoration Act
The “Common Sense” Legal Reform Act
The Job Creation and Wage Enhancement Act
        The Citizen Legislature Act
**The truth is the contract resulted in a lot of legislation being enacted that was more the result of George W wanting a winning platform than the contract itself.
I agree about Obama needing to take a page out of Clinton statement but not relative to contract.
I, as a student of history that unfortunately lived through it remember how much of the legislation passed and was forgotten and then expired. And I remember bills coming to Clinton that were intended to weaken him and instead strengthened him as they either had no teeth or no funding or were only “declarations”. And do you remember Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac? in 1999 they were given exceptional mandate to lend to poor people without enacting rules ensuring responsible lending.
Or do you disagree that he was married to Jackie Battley, cheated on her with and married Marianne Ginther and cheated on her with and married Callista Bisek
        or
That he was Lutheran, Southern Baptist and finally Roman Catholic.

      • As an addendum:
Before I ever post I try to verify. With Newt however I went on memory which is admittedly not as good as research. I remember how Newt spoke harshly about all things Democrat: This includes my pet peave: Immigration Reform. Suddenly when he is running for president he is for it? Ah-uh. I remember the things he said then. Make no mistake: building a wall does not work and guest worker programs only make things worse – check your history.
And I remember the man when he said “the snub was “part of why you ended up with us sending down a tougher continuing resolution”.
Yes it was signed. But with changes that showed Clinton was smarter than and more mature than Newt.
And I remember a man who resigned after losing 5 seats in the house and said, “I’m not willing to preside over people who are cannibals.”
And I checked my numbers and stand by my statements.

    • There may not be an Obama in November as impeachment proceedings against him have already begun!

Mutt Obomney may very well ‘win’ but it won’t be through votes cast. It’ll be through votes ‘counted’ and votes ‘not counted’. It’s a SCAM! Obomney, Scrotum and The Grinch are all the same guy. They want to be the banksters’ choice for figure-head prankster gangsta puppet president and make lots of money for themselves and their bankster masters. They couldn’t care less about the American People! They’re just canon fodder, slave workers and pharma/techno guinea pigs.

Ron Paul or Non at ALL!

The rest are a Sham playing the Scam!

    • This is not a slot machine. We should be voting for the best leader. If we keep up with this “who can beat Obama” chant we will shoot ourselves in the foot.
I will vote for Mitt if he wins the nomination.
But three other candidates have my support ahead of him.

  59. According to the Media the Economy is getting better now. We don’t need a gynecologist in the White House! We need a third party candidate. None of the candidates are any good. What we better be worried about is congress. The President can’t do anything without congress.

  60. The belief that because Obama is a great Orator, does not mean he is a good Debater.

The rest have the ability (since a logical high-school kid can make Bama look silly in an unscripted debate) — but don’t have a clean closet (and Bama will attack their skeletons, since he can do nothing else).

So, unless you do your best to elect Ron Paul — you’ll be party to the ignominious reelection of BO!

    • @Surfisher,
I respectfully agree with part one: BO is a great orator. Let us agree that orators win elections.
At least up to now RP is a poor orator. I have heard him speak when not on this campaign and he could make memorable speaches if he wanted to do so. Why won’t he now?
I respectfully disagree with part two:
I debated in high school and college. Proving a thing is true is not the same as it actually being true so BO was able to prove to the majority of americans that his way to improve the economy was correct. yes he was wrong but he proved he was right to enough people to ensure his eventual election.

And let us agree that by this definition RP has not shown up to the debates so far. Why won’t he?

      • Augie —

Excellent post. All points are valid!

On your point — which is true — “And let us agree that by this definition RP has not shown up to the debates so far. Why won’t he?”, I’ll comment that he’s been pushed so far to the back of the line (nearly ignored) and given the least time to respond.

My take is that so far BO has faced the same phonies as himself (plastic politicians) — so his tricks work (people are trying to decide which one is least disingenuous).

Facing a genuine person — Ron Paul — will be a shock to BO. People can tell who is real and who is fake — substance, even delivered in a stumbling manner (which endears the person even more to the people, since they identify with him) will destroy BO’s slick dogma (by comparison the people will perceive BO as a used car salesman).

        In simple words:

A sharp, polished Phoney (BO) has no chance winning over the people, when facing a good, real Person telling the truth.

  61. I love these Urube posts. They are self serving cut ups of what occured at polling across the entire state and don’t make the points the RP supporters should be making.
Complaining about voter fraud is not a bad thing. No. It needs to be verified and prosecuted if possible to the extent the law allows.
But if it keeps happening and no official challenges are filed it only serves to make the candidate look like a crybaby.
iWithout using this carefully edited piece of “news” as evidence I predict that a strong push will come from the candidate himself to press supporters for financing and get his face on TV ads and get his speeches broadcast on the many television and radio stations that are starving for election news. Then he will use the convention to lobby for candidate reasingment. Only in this way will he be able to win the Republican nomination. A long shot but it could succeed.
***But I digress. The reason I decided to reply is this: the reason the race keeps going until majority is declared. EVEN if my candidate does not win. Even if my candidate is cheated out of votes and delegates. My vote counts because my candidate (or his successor as some pundits have suggested) will have a say in the platform for whoever is elected and ALSO because my candidate (or his successor) will learn from the experience how to get those pesky conniving fixers to go leave the tally alone.
I believe that Mitt has learned from two failed attempts to get nominated and George W’s successfull nomination run and presidential run that sometimes it is better to leave the popular vote to the media and go get the delegates. He still may not have the nomination but it IS clear that his strategy (or s tragedy) is to earn or steal delegates anywhere he can.
And that may be the lesson that Ron Paul (or his successor) may be trying to learn.
No matter. Vote for the person who best represents your ideology or idealism. I’ll certainly be voting for mine and sending in a dollar of two to his campaign. If enough of you vote we might be able to at least get a modified platform instead of a dictated platform out of the convention. Or, dare I say, you could even see your candidate win.

    • Augie — off topic:

      Today’s Headline:

“In ‘highly unusual’ move, Marines asked to DISARM before Leon Panetta speech!”

Not sure, but can a Marine (unless placed under arrest) be disarmed in hostile territory, even by the Four ‘Starest’ of Generals…?

(Some can put a spin that Panetta is so liked by the troops, that he does not trust his own soldiers with weapons in his presence….).
      ——————————————————————————————–

Curious if someone knows the answers:

      1) Was it ILLEGAL — a breach of military law/conduct/rules — to DISARM the US Marines in a HOSTILE combat territory (in order to be herded without arms to listen to a speech from Citizen Panetta)?

      2) Name and rank (or civilian status) of person RESPONSIBLE for disarming the US Marines?

      • Actually I may have the answer to that in theory.
While technically all military men have to obey any lawful order given by a superior officer, (and an order to disarm is a lawful order) it is never given in a combat zone except by the officer in command. This is how a surrender works. Only the officer in command can surrender his charge and the order to lay down arms is necessary to prevent a lone soldier from continuing to fight ignorant of the surrender.
Yes, that is exactly how rare this is used. I wonder if that means what I think it does!?
In non-combat or secure areas, however the units could be asked to muster weapons at a close-by area in order to be more able to enjoy the entertainer. Yes, entertainer. In Vietnam men were often asked to sit without rifles which were guarded by one person from the unit when Bob or Dolly came to entertain. This was so they could applaud and cheer freely.
Did this speach qualify as entertainment? Did anyone applaud? hmmmmmmmmm

        • Augie —

Thanks for the info, much appreciated. Very illuminating!

And a big LOL on —“Did this speach qualify as entertainment? Did anyone applaud? hmmmmmmmmm” — funny stuff!

  62. Some crazed interpreter stole a truck and drove onto the landing strip that the illustrius secretary was supposed to land on. No bomb or gun on him but I guess he coulda run the truck into the plane. I think it scared Pinochio.
