The event will take place Friday, July 14, and feature six GOP candidates seeking the 2024 Republican nomination, the New York Post reports:

Former Fox News host Tucker Carlson will host a Republican presidential primary forum in Iowa on Friday that will include five candidates, according to Blaze Media.

The forum will notably not include the 2024 GOP front-runner, former President Donald Trump, who has indicated he is considering skipping debates because of his double-digit lead in the polls.

“Blaze Media is teaming up with THE FAMiLY LEADER to bring you the first presidential forum of the 2024 Republican Primary season, hosted by Tucker Carlson,” the media outlet wrote in a tweet on Monday.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley, entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy, Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC) and former Vice President Mike Pence will participate in the forum, which will be held at the Family Leadership Summit in Des Moines, Iowa, on July 14.

Former Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson was added to the lineup after the forum was announced which rounds out the candidate list to six participants.

If you’re looking for the name “Trump” in that list of candidates, you’ll be disappointed. The former president will instead be attending the Turning Point Action conference where he’s set to speak on Saturday.

Here’s the announcement from The Blaze on Twitter:

We don’t know too much about the format of the event but it is not being billed as a “debate” where the candidate appears on stage together.

Instead, the candidates will appear individually for an informal conversation and Q&A with Carlson as the moderator of the discussion. No further specific information on a list of topics or questions has been released.

The event kicks off Friday, July 14, with coverage starting around 10 am ET.

We will carry the event in full with an alert and live stream link on Friday.
