Trump will speak at 7 p.m. on Jan. 15 in Florence at the same location where the Country Thunder music festival is held. It will be his first rally appearance of 2022.

Kari Lake, one of several Republican candidates for governor in Arizona, announced her attendance for the upcoming rally on Twitter. She was endorsed by the former president in late September.

Other Arizona endorsements, beyond the governor’s race, include Rep. Paul Gosar and state Rep. and Secretary of State candidate Mark Finchem.

This will be Trump’s first political event of 2022 and marks an unofficial kickoff to the midterm election cycle. Most of the speculation will surround whether Trump intends to run again in 2024, or use his platform, as it stands, to play kingmaker in the various 2022 primaries.
