Biden Praises Gas Prices: “We’re Going Through a Transition Away From Fossil Fuels”

Did Biden just let the cat out of the bag on why his party doesn’t seem too concerned about skyrocketing gas prices? This is all just an “incredible transition,” according to President Biden, where Americans and the world suddenly decide that they’re going to stop buying fuel for their gas-powered cars and take up the cause of electric vehicles instead.

The glaring problem here is that the world economy is still powered largely by fossil fuel and the amount of energy created from renewable sources couldn’t replace it tomorrow if we tried.

Does this “transition” work for people already having difficulty affording gas for their existing car? Just buy an electric vehicle, and enjoy your $800/month car payment, but at least you save on gas. Not only can you finance your new electric vehicle, but you can also finance the work involved to install a high-voltage charger at your home.

Biden made the comments on video Monday when asked about the rising cost of gas, which now sits well over $4.00 per gallon in all fifty states, with many areas already well above that:

That sounds like the Obama administration’s theme of “breaking some eggs” to make an omelet. Or perhaps more akin to Rahm Emanuel’s stated goal of never letting a crisis go to waste:

Here we are with the chance to make fossil fuels unaffordable while blaming it on Vladimir Putin for invading Ukraine. Democrats can get what they want, an economy that will be forced away from gasoline, and a scapegoat to blame it on. Democrats are doing something they thought they couldn’t do before.

The rest of America doesn’t seem as thrilled as Biden does:

Out of touch as ever, President Biden celebrated record-high gas prices Monday, gushing that the pump pain was part of “an incredible transition” of the US economy away from fossil fuels.

“[When] it comes to the gas prices, we’re going through an incredible transition that is taking place that, God willing, when it’s over, we’ll be stronger and the world will be stronger and less reliant on fossil fuels when this is over,” Biden said during a press conference in Japan following his meeting with Prime Minister Fumio Kishida.

The president then insisted that his administration’s actions, rather than increasing the price of gas, had actually been able to “keep it from getting worse — and it’s bad.”

The truth here is that Biden and the entire Democratic Party, led by zealots of the “Green New Deal” like the progressive squad headed by AOC, want gas prices to be unaffordable. It helps push their goal of forcing electric vehicles on an economy and power grid that can’t sustain it.

The one way to make electric vehicles, which cost tens of thousands more on average, seem more affordable, is to start making gas-powered cars seem more expensive.

Of course, this has been a common theme over the course of the past 12 months:

And from November of 2021 when White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki explained that rising gas prices will help the administration sell their green initiatives and push electric vehicles:

Biden, in Tokyo on Monday, said the quiet part out loud. We’re going through a “transition” which implies that we will not return to where we started. Democrats have no intention of letting Americans see gas at $2 a gallon ever again if they can help it.

Gas in the $4 or $5 per gallon range is just enough to start making people change their habits and begin looking at alternatives which is just the kind of social engineering the green energy zealots are looking for.

Biden’s policies are crushing those who can least afford to pay double in transportation costs, but he doesn’t seem bothered by that. Why should be? Joe Biden hasn’t put a gallon of gas in a car for decades now.

Once again, this is the “let them eat cake” administration.
