Lessons Democrats Should Learn From Mocking Parents and Lying About Racist Curriculum

There are many lessons to take away from Tuesday night where Republicans swept all three statewide Virginia races, and the New Jersey governor’s race is still being counted down to the wire. It’s reminiscent of 2009 when the GOP took the governor’s race in both states. Republican Jack Ciattarell might not prevail in New Jersey this time, but being this close can already be counted as a monumental loss for the Democratic agenda at a national and state level.

For starters, Democrats constantly and consistently told parents across the country that they’re stupid and dumb, and have no business questioning anything their local school board does. Parents shouldn’t ask questions about safety with regard to transgender bathroom policies, they shouldn’t ask about critical race theory being integrated into the curriculum, and they shouldn’t ask about inappropriate materials being promoted to children in school libraries. Beyond that, the National School Board Association recently referred to parents as “domestic terrorists,” a view reinforced by the Attorney General of the United States. Not a good look for the Democratic Party to embrace.

In short, parents were told to butt out, and in return, they sent Democrats packing from Richmond in all three statewide offices.

Democrat Terry McAuliffe told lie after lie during the campaign. He ended his failed bid with the biggest outright lie of the election claiming Republican Glenn Youngkin was campaigning in Virginia in person with Donald Trump. In reality, Trump never stepped foot in the state, but McAuliffe assumed his voters were either dumb enough or scared enough to accept it and not check for themselves.

The other lie that continues to get repeated ad nauseam is the lie that critical race theory, or whatever name you wish to call it, is not being taught in Virginia schools. In reality, once again, the tenants and basic teachings of critical race theory, splitting students up by color into oppressors and oppressed, are woven into the Virginia curriculum and all over school district websites since McAuliffe’s term as governor from 2013 to 2017. Parents aren’t stupid, they know what they’ve witnessed with their kids learning at home all of the previous school year and some of this year.

The term “critical race theory” has been fully documented, back to 2015, integrated into the Virginia Department of Education as something teachers and districts should embrace:

The phrase “Critical Race Theory” appears on the Virginia Department of Education website despite Democratic Gubernatorial candidate Terry McAuliffe’s repeated claims the curriculum is not taught in Virginia.

On the Virginia Department of Education website, several examples of the department promoting Critical Race Theory can be found, including a presentation from 2015, when Terry McAullife was governor, that encourages teachers to “embrace Critical Race Theory” in “order to re-engineer attitudes and belief systems.”

The insulting nature every time some Democrat tells parents they’re not seeing what they’re seeing is probably what helped drive the stake into McAuliffe’s election chances. Who you gonna believe, McAuliffe or your lyin’ eyes? If you claim critical race theory is not taught in Virginia schools, then you shouldn’t care if someone wants to ban it, since it doesn’t exist, right? As Glenn Younkin said, teach all history, good and bad, but do not divide students by skin color, it’s an evil way to tear the country apart and foster resentment.

Perhaps Virginia’s newly-elected Republican Lieutenant Governor can shed some light on the manipulative ways Democrats use race to divide and destroy. This interview was taken on Tuesday morning:

In that regard, go ahead, Democrats, keep telling parents they’re dumb and too stupid to understand what they’re seeing and reading from their child’s school materials. They’re too stupid to ask questions about the safety of letting boys use girls’ bathrooms, they’re too dumb to think they should have any rights concerning what happens with their tax dollars in public schools. Parents of all persuasions and ethnicities have spoken out against critical race theory in Virginia schools, it’s insulting and patronizing to accuse them of lying or being mistaken.

Tell it to Shawntel Cooper, one of many Virginia parents that ignited the internet with her anti-CRT school board speech many months ago:

Shawntel Cooper, and thousands of other Virginia parents, have been vindicated today with the repudiation of Democratic policies of racial division.

The other lesson, Democrats will be sure to ignore, is that hating Donald Trump cannot win every election. Terry McAuliffe became a caricature of himself, repeating the word “Trump” 18 million times during the campaign, then the day before Election Day saying it’s not about Trump. How stupid does he think people are? His strategy failed, Donald Trump was not on the ballot, and Virginians didn’t fall for it. This race was about local issues with the backdrop of President Biden’s failing policies, nothing more.

McAuliffe was an embarrassment to the state and his voters. He never ran on real issues. McAuliffe became the pro-abortion/anti-Trump candidate, which may appease some, but not voters concerned about real challenges looking critically at the direction of the state and the country.

Instead, this was the McAuliffe campaign summed up in one image:

Republicans won back the Commonwealth by making inroads with voters who supported Donald Trump’s policies but didn’t like his mean tweets. Suburban voters responded to Youngkin’s focus on local issues, like education, taxes, state spending, and simple things like repealing the state’s grocery tax.

Nationally, Democrats are now looking at steep losses in 2022 with their messaging and anti-Trump hysteria having been shut down and rejected on Tuesday night. Running against Donald Trump in 2022 will surely yield them similar results, so they’ll have to be back to defending President Biden’s failing record. Good luck!

It’s a good day for American values of freedom and liberty when socialist policies get rejected. Breathe easier, America, but stay guarded and ready to finish the fight and reject the invading socialism that threatens the fabric of society.
