Bombshell: Top FBI Agent Resigns After Allegedly Suppressing Hunter Biden Investigation

Alternate headline: The swamp protects itself

Has FBI Director Christopher Wray resigned yet? His agency is out of control in more ways than one. The bureau has clearly been working overtime to bury investigations that could harm Democrats and ginning up investigations to attack Republicans.

After the Washington Times revealed that Timothy Thibault, an FBI assistant special agent in charge, was escorted from agency headquarters last week, there was clearly more to the story.

As it turns out, Thibault was outed by a whistleblower with proof that the Hunter Biden laptop story was being intentionally killed in 2020 to avoid any direct harm to then-candidate Joe Biden. Thibault was the agent at the center of the effort to close and suppress the investigation.

In other words, the FBI is tainted and has become a tool of the Democratic Party to investigate Republicans and run defense for Democrats who might wind up in legal trouble.

The timeline and details are stunning and should put to bed any idea that somehow the Hunter Biden laptop story was Russian disinformation, it clearly was not.

Even at the time, back in 2020, the information was verifiable yet killed by Thibault for political reasons:

Thibault had already been on leave since FBI director Christopher Wray revealed during a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing earlier this month that he found the whistleblower claims against the agent and his colleague, FBI supervisory intelligence analyst Brian Auten, “deeply troubling.”

“Thibault allegedly ordered the matter closed without providing a valid reason as required by FBI guidelines … [and] subsequently attempted to improperly mark the matter in FBI systems so that it could not be opened in the future,” Grassley said.

“In October 2020, an avenue of additional derogatory Hunter Biden reporting was ordered closed at the direction of ASAC Thibault… [when] all of the reporting was either verified or verifiable via criminal search warrants,” the senator added.

Some Republicans have insisted that Thibault may have been motivated by malicious political bias, pointing to his social-media history, including a retweet of a Lincoln Project message that called former president Trump a “psychologically broken, embittered and deeply unhappy man.”

You can’t make this stuff up these days in Washington.

The FBI had its hands all over the physical Hunter Biden laptop, it knew what kind of evidence existed that would implicate much of the Biden family, including Joe Biden, in foreign money schemes and corruption. Not to mention Hunter’s persistent and ongoing drug use, that’s almost a side story here. The real issue is the Biden crime family collecting money from foreign governments and entities.

The evidence of Hunter Biden’s foreign misdeeds and business dealing was overwhelming and the contents of his personal laptop helped to solidify the issue yet it went unreported and intentionally impugned by the FBI and the intelligence deep state in 2020.

What about the 51 former intelligence officials who signed a letter claiming that the Hunter Biden laptop was part of a Russian disinformation campaign? None of them have been held accountable despite flat-out lying to the American people. They were all in on the cover-up and story suppression as well but they probably all still retain their security clearance credentials.

This is the same FBI that raided Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residency in search of classified documents and anything else it could scoop up. With the agency so supremely compromised by partisan agents bent on using their positions to affect the outcome of elections, how can anyone trust what’s coming out of the Justice Department?

Trump made mistakes by not thoroughly cleaning house after his 2016 victory as clearly the swamp creatures lived deep within the bureaucracy and were able to shape and interfere in the 2020 election without fear of being caught or disciplined.

Maybe the FBI should raid itself.

Update: Added “allegedly” to the story headline for fairness
