Nothing says “caring about the little people” quite like banning oil drilling on federal land in the name of a so-called “Climate Emergency.” If you enjoy $4 a gallon gas, get ready to double that in the name of the Green New Deal on the advice of House Democrats, John “effing” Kerry, and the green lobby everywhere.
For a party that ran on claiming Donald Trump’s tax cuts only benefited the rich, Democrats are now doing everything they can to screw everyone outside the millionaire class with asinine proposals like banning oil drilling on all federal land:
House progressives are planning to call on President Joe Biden this week to use his executive power to declare climate change a national emergency and to ban fossil fuel drilling on public lands.
The request from the Congressional Progressive Caucus comes as many Democratic clean energy priorities have stalled in Congress. The push for the sweeping use of the executive powers expected from the group of nearly 100 lawmakers on Thursday will also touch issues such as student loan debt, voting rights and immigration.
Rep. Jared Huffman (D-Calif.), a caucus member, told POLITICO that calling on Biden to declare a climate emergency would be one of the “centerpiece” actions to headline their executive order plan.

Luckily, however, Fox News provides more details for free since none of us will be able to afford to pay for a news article once energy prices skyrocket thanks to this proposal:
Siegel added that House Democrats will also call on Biden to manufacture more heat pumps to “ease the strain in oil and gas markets that has been caused by Russia’s war in Ukraine.” Some of those heat pumps would be donated to Europe, according to the House Progressives’ plan.
The reported move drew immediate criticism on social media with many pointing out that gas prices have surged to record levels prompting Republicans to call for increased drilling to ease pain at the pump, not less.
Sen. Ted Cruz is exactly correct. Democrats don’t like taking the heat politically for rising energy prices, but ultimately they want to make driving with gasoline more expensive than buying an electric vehicle:

It’s not just gasoline, of course. The cost of home heating oil would skyrocket along with every other form of fossil fuel energy. It would drive our economy to halt and probably send us into immediate depression.
There is no “Climate Emergency,” by the way. Even John Kerry, the Biden administration climate czar, admitted that eliminating all carbon emissions today would do nothing to change the course of the weather–excuse me–the climate in the next hundred or so years.
The only emergency happening is Biden’s dereliction of duty to protect the United States which includes protecting our energy consumption from being reliant on countries like Iran, Venezuela, and Russia.
Biden’s not going to listen to the House progressive caucus call for a drilling ban on all federal lands, at least, I don’t think he would, but the move speaks to how little Democrats actually care for the people they claim to represent. Don’t worry though, if it happens, Biden’s trying to lower the cost of prescription drugs and maybe throw in free universal child care as consolation prizes. Of course, it’ll be too expensive to leave your house, so you won’t need child care anyway.
Let’s hypothetically, for the sake of discussion, say Trump’s tax cuts only helped the wealthiest Americans. It’s a patently untrue statement, but it’s what Democrats frequently claim. Even if that were true, how would that hurt low-income earners more than driving the price of gasoline up to $10 a gallon as Democrats propose? The result isn’t even comparable, which is how you know all Democrat proposals and claims on taxes and income are based on lies.
An absolutely absurd, offensive, and dangerous proposal from a caucus of left-wing loons bent on destroying capitalism and crippling the American economy.
