Serious question, why is Vice President Kamala Harris so bad at her job? Every job, in fact, that President Biden has given her, has been a failure and embarrassment for the administration. Perhaps none quite as bad as the U.S. southern border, which remains a mess due to policies set forth by the Biden-Harris administration. Remember, Harris as the “Border Czar” was going to get the situation cleaned up without the need to ever actually visit the border and/or address the situation in any way.
During a recent meeting with Mexican officials, Border Czar Kamala Harris went to New Jersey to visit a bakery rather than meet with anyone who might be able to help deal with the flood of illegal migrants crossing the Rio Grande every day:
Vice President Kamala Harris, the Biden administration’s “border czar,” sampled goods at a New Jersey bakery on Friday — while other White House officials met with their Mexican counterparts in a bid to get a handle on the ongoing illegal immigration crisis.
Harris was in the Garden State to promote President Biden’s $3.5 trillion spending bill and push COVID-19 vaccinations when she made the pit stop in Newark.
President Biden made it very clear earlier this year when he said Harris was the mouthpiece for the administration on all things border-related. When Kamala speaks, she speaks for Joe:
“When she speaks, she speaks for me,” Biden said at the time. “Doesn’t have to check with me. She knows what she’s doing, and I hope we can move this along.”
The only problem is that she doesn’t know what she’s doing, contrary to Biden’s statement. Harris has no idea what she’s doing, or maybe she does. Perhaps Harris knows the level to which her boss will ultimately sink, she’s trying her hardest to avoid letting her political career go down with the ship. That ship, the one holding her political career, which saw the embarrassing end to her 2020 presidential run before any primary vote was cast, may have already sailed and she didn’t make it on board.
Beyond the border, which continues to fester and cause calamity for the entire country, Harris is also simply bad at being a relatable, authentic person. As the appointed Head of the Space Council, Harris released a video this week of her spending time with some teenagers at her official residence, the U.S. Naval Observatory, speaking about space exploration and generally looking incredibly fake.
The kicker is that the setup was indeed fake. The children were hired actors to hang on her every word, and her every word was delivered with false, authentically forced charm not seen since Hillary Clinton tried to seem like a normal, relatable human being:

Trevor Bernardino, a 13-year-old actor from Carmel, California, and one of five teenagers featured in the video, was asked to submit a monologue discussing something he is passionate about and three questions for a world leader, according to an interview with KSBW TV. Trevor then interviewed with the production director.
“And then after that, like a week later, my agent called me, and he’s like, ‘Hey Trevor, you booked it,’” Trevor said. He didn’t learn until much later that he would be meeting with Harris, who was appointed to lead the National Space Council earlier this year.
Kamala Harris is not relatable, especially to kids. They couldn’t find a handful of kids from DC public schools to spend a half-hour talking to the Vice President about space exploration? The end result would’ve been similar and it would have avoided the appearance of yet more fake theater from an administration already fraught with fake theater. Why not make it a contest? Write an essay about why space exploration is important and the top five winners get a trip to meet the Vice President and tour the U.S. Naval Observatory. Could’ve been a PR win. Instead, this administration cares only for optics, not for spending time motivating or inspiring actual schoolchildren in its own backyard.

Kamala Harris as border czar has been laughable and one has to wonder whether she ever had any interest in actually doing any of the things her boss set out for her. On the contrary, Harris is trying to stay away from her failing administration to keep an impossible dream of being president someday alive and kicking.
