Democrats Really Hate Clarence Thomas

Hating Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas is nothing new for Democrats, they’ve hated him since his confirmation hearing back in 1991 when Senator Joe Biden was presiding over the process. Thomas has always been a thorn in their side as a conservative black man, a combination that’s not allowed in American politics because skin color is supposed to determine political views for some reason.

The most recent round of hatred not only involves Justice Thomas, but also his wife, Ginni, who irritates the left with her political activism.

Most recently, in response to the Dobbs decision that overturned Roe v. Wade, actor Samuel L. Jackson launched a racist attack on Thomas calling him “Uncle Clarence” on Twitter and alleging that Thomas wanted to ban interracial marriage:

Actor Samuel L. Jackson attacked Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas in a tweet Saturday after the court overturned Roe v. Wade.

Jackson called Thomas “Uncle Clarence,” mocking the justice for his opinion in the landmark abortion case.

“How’s Uncle Clarence feeling about overturning Loving v. Virginia??!!” Jackson wrote on Twitter.

The “Uncle Clarence” remark is a play on calling Thomas an “Uncle Tom,” a racially loaded term for blacks who don’t toe the line for the Democratic Party.

Then there was Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot, perhaps in the running for America’s worst public servant. At a rally over the weekend, Lightfoot was on a stage yelling things like “F**k Clarence Thomas” to an enthusiastic crowd:

The mayor also took aim at Thomas over the weekend, criticizing his dissent for questioning the Supreme Court case that legalized same-sex marriage.

Lightfoot has warned for months that the court may go after LGBTQ rights and was discussing Thomas’ dissent at a Pride event when she thanked a member of the audience and said, “F— Clarence Thomas,” drawing cheers from the crowd, according to a video on social media.

It’s unclear if someone shouted the comment or she simply noticed a man in the front row wearing a shirt with the phrase. But hours after the video posted on social media, Lightfoot’s political account uploaded a photo of herself posing as a man in the front row wears a shirt expressing disregard for the Supreme Court justice. “I said what I said,” she wrote.

That’s some stellar leadership from the Democratic Party trying to bring down the temperature and let more reasoned, level-headed dialog take place. Never mind that Chicago is on pace to set a record for murders this year that could surpass the record set last year.

Beyond the Justice, Ginni Thomas has now become the focus of the sham January 6 committee hearings on Capitol Hill. The committee is attempting to force Ginni Thomas to testify but given the recent events, and the lack of credibility of all involved with the committee, lawyers for Justice Thomas’s wife are naturally skeptical:

A lawyer for Virginia Thomas, the longtime conservative activist and wife of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, has told the Jan. 6 select committee that he has “serious concerns” about any interview the panel would conduct with her.

The letter throws cold water on the prospect of a voluntary interview between Thomas and the committee, which investigators are seeking.

“I would also note that this has been a particularly stressful time as the Thomases have been subjected to an avalanche of death threats and other abuse by the unprecedented assault on the conservative Supreme Court Justices and their families,” attorney Mark Paoletta said in an eight-page letter to the panel dated Tuesday and obtained by POLITICO.

Ginni Thomas, and anyone wishing to avoid a politically driven show trial attacking Donald Trump, should steer clear of the January 6 investigation like the bubonic plague. It’s a hearing run by the same people that brought us the Russia-Trump collusion hoax. What credibility does Rep. Adam Schiff have left to stand in front of the camera talking about “bombshells” from witness testimony that wouldn’t be admissible in a courtroom let alone a criminal indictment?

Hating Clarence Thomas is a political sport for Democrats and a racially charged one at that. Yes, liberals hate Justice Alito and Justice Kavanaugh, but not to the extent they hate the only African-American justice on the court. Thomas gets special treatment for wandering off their plantation.
